Your wild dog sighting brought tears to my eyes. I know what you do is not easy. But I think you are perhaps one of the luckiest people on earth to be able to do it. And you do it so extraordinarily well. Thank you!

@10:00 Wild dogs!! How incredibly blessed was that! Thank you for letting us see this wild beauty vicariously through your eyes.
I'm so thankful you still have a presence on CZcams. I loved watching you on Safari Live. I still watch that hilarious clip of you drawing a hippo anytime I need cheering up!

Ellys, Zebras, Painted Dogs, exquisite sunsets & loving company. What more could a person want, besides a functional bathroom? You two are really making a lifetime of memories. It's very special & thank you for sharing a tiny bit with us. 🙏

That blasted slow leaking tyre is going bring about a Basil Fawlty type response. I can just envisage James taking to the Landcruiser with a very large branch and screaming obscenities at it.One would not want to be caught unawares by a large dog baa boon whilst halfway through a bowel motion on that disgusting looking crapper. Fantastic footage of the wild doggies. Not quite as exhilarating as the James encounter with the wild doggies on Djuma. Pretty close though. Fantastic filming and musical accompaniment .

Today I've watched 3 of your Mana Pools videos again - it's always a pleasure watching them, amazing encounters, beautiful nature, beautiful sounds of the animals, insects and birds, and very entertaining. Thanks again!

As I was watching your wild dog sighting my brain kept repeating "How cool is that!!" Your reverence for Africa and its wildlife is very apparent on your videos. The opening shot was just spectacularly beautiful...Thank you both for sharing!!!

Now I watched your complete Mana Pools Series. And I enjoyed it soo much. This is one of the rare times I had every second of a youtube video without the need to skip and hop on.
I like your timing and that you dont rush the sets. Your framing is so good, the colours. And I learned that as good as IBIS, IS etc may ever be, nothing beats a good and steady tripod with a video head.
Your stories and jokes, compared with the technic you put into your videos makes them so enjoyable to watch. Not to forget the perfect underlining of the music.
After two trips to Namibia and Botswana, I am now convinced that my next trip must lead to Zimbabwe and/or Zambia. Thanks for the inspiration and maybe our paths will cross sometimes in Africa.

Gosh that episode seemed short! I was just fully emersed and then….“next time“. Mana Pools seems to be a VERY special place, what with the „open wooded“ landscape and then in one sighting, a whole variety of animals walking around and living in harmony with each other. Like nothing I`ve ever seen on „safari“ shows(including Wild Earth).

I find that a can of compressed air with a little trumpet attached as is sold for personal protection is highly effective against baboons, monkeys, stray dogs and possibly a whole lot else. The trumpet produces an ear splitting sound and I find if I combine a couple of a blasts with a charge at the offending creatures they depart in utmost haste. This appears to last for many days where they again depart immediately upon noticing me the next day.

Very temped to call that wild dog pack the "white tail pack" -- I don't think I've seen wild dogs with that much white fur, it's always more golden brown or hyena-ish. What would have happened if they came up to investigate you? Ward them off with the "dog baboon stick"?
