Once, Early in the school year, our superintendent came into my first grade classroom room and introduced herself as “Dr. (Last name) . One of my kids blurted out, “Are you the kind of doctor we go to when our throat hurts or the kind we talk to because we feel stabbing everybody in the world?” That was the day I locked up all the scissors.
My Tristan (Evan) was always in the middle of a war zone in his head. FR. We'd be walking down the hall and, all of a sudden, he would do his stop, drop, and roll out to the middle of the hall and pop up with his finger rifles blazing. One day, out of desperation, I said, "C'mere. You're my line leader". He was all about that. When we would get to the end of a hall, ready to round a corner, I'd say, "Is it all clear?" He would hop out into the middle, finger guns blazing, for about 3 seconds and hop back in line. I'd ask, "All clear, Evan?" He would salute and say, "We good". Then, we would proceed to the next corner.
One of my favorite stories--When the teacher told him he didn't turn in his assignment and would receive a zero, he said, "Well, that's better than nothing."
Our "Tristan" when I was in Jr. High, was Joe Green. Joe didn't have a filter. If his brain thunk it, his mouth said it. One day in English class, Mr. Fahrenbach (my favorite teacher of all time), was trying to demonstrate something, I don't remember what, but he asked the class as a whole "What is toilet paper"? Without missing a beat, Joe says "It's the shit you wipe your ass with"! Mind you, this was in 81 or 82, back then students didn't cuss in the classroom. The whole classroom roared in laughter, including Mr. Fahrenbach.
That last story was crazy! I cannot understand how people and businesses think that using the American flag for clothing, much less UNDERWEAR is acceptable!!! The American flag is not supposed to be used as “adornment”! How Tristan managed to be on his best behavior leading up to that moment is hilarious. 😂😂😂
Once I was substitute teaching a fifth and I had never been in this classroom before so I didn't know the students names very well. There was a boy who would not stop talking. I kept saying to him: "Treyvon, stop talking! Treyvon, be quiet! Finally he said miss, my name is not Treyvon, but I like that name. I think I will change my name to Treyvon.
I love that you love Tristans! I love them too! I was teaching 7th grade band. I passed out some postcard flyers for a summer band camp--made the mistake of passing them out at the BEGINNING of band ... later I sat at the piano to help the clarinets with a part. While I was playing with the clarinets, one of my Tristans threw his card in a gallant flourish. It flew past my head, bounced off the wall behind me, and fluttered in front of me, where I caught it in my left hand by simply raising it off the keyboard and turning palm up. I was AMAZED, as I never catch anything. I thought: "I can keep it together. Act like nothing happened and it will be so cool." Then I heard another Tristan say quietly "That was sick!" Head on the keyboard, I lost it in laughter. Took a few minutes to recover. Can't hold a candle to the pledge though ... gotta love that boy!
When we lived in Utah, we went ToysRus with a friend and his son. He loved Tomas the tank. When went down the aisle and his son wanted Percy but he could not say his R's yet. So he continued to ask for pecy, and we were all so embarrassed, but we could not stop laughing.
I am not a teacher, however I volunteered for 8 yrs at my son’s school. 2 days a week for 2 yrs I specifically worked with an autistic young man. He HATED everyone! I have legit hairy arms, he met me, “petted” my arm & we were friends. I thought about a career change and my sons 4th grade teacher said it was “the worst decision she’s ever made”!😱
My high school's superintendent was my favourite. He started as a teacher and was the only person who was infuriated when my counselor told me it, "wasn't worth my time or money to apply anywhere other than community college." The principal looked me dead in the face and just asked me, "well, was she right?" I had just started getting mental health help and was diagnosed and working in retaking classes I had failed my Freshman year. Turns out, the superintendent has a kid with learning disabilities. That counselor was fired, and we had a new principal halfway through the year. I don't know 100% if it was all because of that incident, but it's an awfully interesting coincidence. I got my grades up by my junior year and graduated with a 3.7 in spite of that woman. Will always be thankful for that superintendent after the counselor and principal tried to make me feel like I was nothing more than a complete failure after only 2yrs into high school
I don't even know what high school was like. I'm 38 now but, dropped out in the 7th grade. I got bullied _really bad_ as well as my older brother. He's gay & more on the feminine side & they were brutal to him. He's a lil over a year older & I tried to stick up for him but then that just made them gang up on me more walking home. I remember us walking home & they started messing with him & I stood up for him & a girl grabbed my hair so I yelled for him to run home. We told the principal & teachers but that was useless. My brother got in trouble & my dad had to go with him to meet with the principal. He kept explaining what was going on as was my dad but, the principal didn't seem to care 1 bit. My brother got fed up & started cussing at him to do his dang job & protect us. My father was shocked but knew how bad it was hurting him & just told him to stop. It wasn't even a month later he stopped going & he was in the 8th grade. Thankfully we both got our GED 💕 I'll _never_ forget telling the teachers for at least 3 years what was happening & nobody cared. I understand bullying wasn't spoken about in 1997 etc like it is now but, when kids are literally begging for help & nothing happens, you can't blame them for not wanting to go. Sorry for writing a book 🤣😋 But this topic really bothers me.. I'm glad you didn't let them deter you from succeeding & graduated!!
I ❤️ you! I'm fairly certain that we would be teacher Bff's! I was teaching Roald Dahl's "Lamb to the Slaughter" one year. My class was really into the story as I was reading it, especially "Tristan." They hung on every word. As I finished the story, "Tristan" shouted out, "Miss, that B1tch be trippin' balls!" I calmly responded, "She was a bit unbalanced, wasn't she?" My goodness! I loved that boy! 😂

@5:31 - "Um, I don't know. Maybe he's a CIA spy or a shapeshifting dinosaur. Better leave him alone." (This is why, if I ever were a teacher, I'd be 'Crazy Ms. T.'.) XD
Love you and your crazy stories! I’m retired now, but taught elementary & middle school back in the day. My last 18 years were as a Title-1 teacher, working with struggling reading & math kiddos. In a 6th grade math class, I was providing extra in-class support. One of the students had his head down and wouldn’t focus or even open the book. (He felt fine, just didn’t want to be there.) The teacher suggested I take him outside and find out what was going on with him. We barely got out the door when he turned to me and said, “You don’t care about me! You’re just in it for the money!” I was so taken aback that I forgot to laugh!! 😂
I'm on the edge of my seat wanting to know how the first Tristan story ended with the superintendent!😂😂😂😂 Love these stories! 👏👏👏 Hearing hilarious, crazy, unbelievable experiences like these always encourage me that I am not alone! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I used to teach pre-k in a private non-profit setting. We served mainly low income families.I had 20 students and 2 assistant teachers. One year I had a student whose family treated her like and princess, and even called her princess most of the time, and she loved feeling she was better than anyone else. One day, she was being her princess self and being a bit “bossy” with the other children. One of my boys, who was a n-nonsense type of child, was building something in our block area, and princess walks over to his and says, “I’m a princess and I can play wherever I want.” No-nonsense boy glances up at her, then back at his block building and says, “Well, I’m a dragon and dragons eat princesses.” Princess walked away from him and never tried to bother him again. 😆
lmao 🤣 My son Ja’Kobe is a “Tristen” he is extremely ADHD but he is very advanced he in 5th grade reads at an 11th grade reading level and also advanced in every subject other then math so one day his teacher 👩🏽🏫 told me when she gave the kids reading and writing class work and 15 minutes in she looks up and he is missing so she walks over too his desk row and finds him laid out on the floor sleep 💤 stretched out she says “Kobe get up off the floor why aren’t you doing your work” he turns over quickly whips out his class work hand straight up in the air from the floor on his back hands her his paper and it’s complete and all answers where correct she looks down he still on the floor on his back starts moving like he is making snow angels but no snow. 🤦🏻♀️ he is the most Another time during recess the bell rang too go back into the classroom he never showed up too line up so the TA goes looking for him couldn’t find him the school security guard that walks around the outside school perimeters finds him by the far gate where a bridge and pond are and found Ja’Kobe putting rocks and leaves 🍁 on top of a dead goose he found, when the guard asked him why he is doing that he told the guard every dead thing deserves to be buried and have a funeral. Another time he wasn’t in trouble this time but his teacher found it so funny that after school she had too call me and tell me. So she asked the kids too write an essay on something they think is important too them and why, so Ja’Kobe writes his on why he thinks I should pay him too do his basic chores like clean his room and feed his cat and clean his cats litter box, he says a bunch of stuff but what had her laughing was that he said because his time is valuable and he could be doing more important things like playing “Fortnite” and eating pizza rolls and if i paid him he could help out with the light bill because i’m always yelling at him too turn off the lights once he leave the room and it’s annoying him and that if he paid the bill he could leave all the lights on in the house he wants too like i always tell him. smh 🤦🏻♀️ i swear this boy is the mostest lmao 🤣
I love reading everyone’s comments because I’m reminded of when I was a TA and I taught at my old elementary school all these stories are just bringing back those memories and it’s hard to believe that all the kids I used to help teach were in kindergarten and they’re in high school now and I probably wouldn’t recognise any of them. I kind of miss being a TA though I don’t miss all the colds I used to catch from them.
Hollering from DeKalb County (Atl) GA. You have helped me get through some really rough days especially lately and today! Always love your material/sharing!
A few years back I was teaching at a small non-public school for students under the spectrum and I had my own Tristan, you never knew what he was going to say or do. Well one day we went on a field trip to a pumpkin patch and the place also had a petting zoo with farm animals. The whole day this child was being so good, he stayed with the class, didn't chase the animals and followed directions. We get back to the school and he asked to go to the restroom so I excuse him to go to the bathroom and then a few minutes ago by and I hear over the intercom Ms. D will you come get Tristan he just threw an egg at another student in the bathroom. He had stolen a chicken egg from the petting zoo and kept it in his pocket until we got to school end then threw it at a student in the bathroom lol.
I'm just sitting back down to finish watching this, after giving my son his home school lessons for today, washing dishes, and setting my dryer to run again so I can fold a load of laundry. And part of my day included telling him to not eat his crayons. I've also not eaten anything yet today, just put a pot of water on to boil so I can make myself pasta. This is only day 3 of the Kindergarten year......
I always kept a book on hand and made that person that walked in from the Ad Building read it to the children. They always left as soon as they were done!
You are too funny! I wish these stories weren't true. I'm so glad I'm retired, I'm too old to deal with this!😀. Keep up the good work. You're in my prayers.
I did a lesson on a words. And I came to dam. One of my first graders shouts across the room "you said we couldn't talk like that. If you get to I get to!" Smh
I love you and your channel!!! I can't wait to hear more stories about crazy parents!! I really feel so bad for teachers!! You all deserve so much more than what you get paid and so much more support from your principals and superintendent!!! They should have your backs!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for all your hard work 🙏🏼😇🙏🏼
Good on Tristan for being aware of his surroundings! great oppty to praise his awareness and maybe intro "this guy" and remind them that sometimes ppl come in to observe... funny as hell, though
Your students are so lucky to have you. Having an outstanding sense of humor is such a saving grace for a teacher. It’s a tough job! Thank you for sharing those stories. Your personality is uplifting as well. :-))
In kindergarten graduation I don’t know if all school ask the kids what they want to be when they grow up, but if they do, what’s the funniest answer you’ve gotten.I had one kid say they wanted to be a puppy, not a puppy doctor or trainer but a actual puppy.
The stories that make you laugh are the ones that remind you of why you love your job❤ As opposed to some of the crazy requests you've mentioned on Bored Teachers 😳😳
The crazy parent requests are my favorite videos of hers! I'm not a teacher (I literally cannot stand children, lol 😂) but for some reason I've accumulated several friends as an adult who teach middle and high school. They unanimously agree the "Crazy Parent Requests" are THE BEST!!
Wow, when I subbed you were brand new - you are the fastest growing channel ever! I love your stories and am re-watching them as I do octordles on another tab.
Hello! I teach 6th grade science and can totally relate to you! I love your stories! I don't have Tic Tok so I appreciate you putting them on CZcams! BtW, my "Tristian" is named "Bob" ! Lol. Thanks for keeping it real!
I had a 3rd-grade boy in my reading intervention class that was held in the Art room at the time. He told me that he is too "tall" to sit on that stool...Mind you I am only 4'11 and he was not even as tall as me. I gave him that look and said, "boy sit down..."
I tutored in reading and I took them outside and we read on the playground on the fort and when they they finished a story if they were well behaved I let them run around and play for ten minutes then I called them back. I admit I was very unorthodox in my methods , but it worked.
I have a hilarious story I was teaching Special Education with K and 1. A little boy had an accident out on the playground and when he came in I saw he had an accident and he said Mrs. Rootes I fu-ing peed my pants. It is really hard not to laugh sometimes.
Just by watching your videos, I'd guess you're a tough but fair teacher who's loved by your students. Your teacher stories are hilarious! I also think you'd be a fantastic actress. Especially comedies, Keep up the great work. A+++++!
Once, Early in the school year, our superintendent came into my first grade classroom room and introduced herself as “Dr. (Last name) . One of my kids blurted out, “Are you the kind of doctor we go to when our throat hurts or the kind we talk to because we feel stabbing everybody in the world?”
That was the day I locked up all the scissors.
Omg 😳💀
Wooooooooooow
That's alarming. Why would a first grader even know about doctors for mental health? I don't blame you for locking things up that's for sure...
So funny, and TOO real!
Dang!
My Tristan (Evan) was always in the middle of a war zone in his head. FR. I cannot love this enough
🤣🤣🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🥴
I LOVE that you took his behaviors and instead of punishing him for them, you embraced them!!! This is amazing!!! 💜
@@mrs_maverick1121 Loved that kid!
You would’ve been my favorite teacher!!😫🫶🏽
I ain't Gon hold you... That pledge of allegiance was clever! 🤣
I would have difficulty not laughing lol. I'm always laughing at silly things, something I gotta work on before I begin teaching!
I’m a first year teacher and I break about once a day. It just comes out of nowhere and I’m hooting.
One of my favorite stories--When the teacher told him he didn't turn in his assignment and would receive a zero, he said, "Well, that's better than nothing."
Apple/tree.
I would’ve laughed so hard I cried at the “Pledge of Allegiance”! I wouldn’t be able to hide it! 😂😂😂
Everyone please stand for the pledge.
For the parents that was arguing for 50% credit for a blank submission, she should miss a paycheck and let payroll say they gave her half.
Fahrenbach.
And Tristan comes through!!🤣🤣🤣 honor that flag!
That last story was crazy! I cannot understand how people and businesses think that using the American flag for clothing, much less UNDERWEAR is acceptable!!! The American flag is not supposed to be used as “adornment”! How Tristan managed to be on his best behavior leading up to that moment is hilarious. 😂😂😂
It's just colour and pattern....
Pledge of Allegiance has now and forever taken on new meaning for me! :)
"That bastard" got me so hard😂🤣
Sebastian! Elementary kids say the craziest things! I teach K-5 special ed. The kids have us rolling on the floor most days😂
I wanna know how the teacher responded to the ‘Tristen’ asking about the superintendent 😆
“Who the hell is this?” 🤣🤣💀🤣💀
I love that you love Tristans! I love them too!
I was teaching 7th grade band. I passed out some postcard flyers for a summer band camp--made the mistake of passing them out at the BEGINNING of band ... later I sat at the piano to help the clarinets with a part.
You are a great speaker! Wonderful comedic timing! I am a teacher as well as this made me laugh and smile. Thanks
Hilarious!!! Tristan and the Pledge of Allegiance!
I ❤️ you! I'm fairly certain that we would be teacher Bff's!
I was teaching Roald Dahl's "Lamb to the Slaughter" one year. My class was really into the story as I was reading it, especially "Tristan." They hung on every word. Same!
I'd have been too busy laughing to actually form a coherent reply. Kudos to you for your poise and quick thinking.
This could have been my classroom
My kids always loved the ending of that story! At least the girls did, but then I teach high school.
Reciting the anthem song for that 50 striped underwear has literally cracked me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I use to tell my students if an adult comes in and sits down with a laptop/clipboard, it's like they're invisible. So unless they engage with you, act like you didnt even notice them come in. It worked for my observations.

So
Lutely!
We expect kids to be polite, so we must act politely. All of us!
Ok. So one time I was teaching high school literature, and I was introducing the book that we were going to read which was “A Tale of Two Cities.” Well, sometimes I get tongue tied, and I accidentally said “A Tale of Two Ti**ies.”
ROFL! I have an arsenal of similar "bloopers". Embarrassing, to say the least!
Love this young lady! She’s really talented and cute!

I would come out of retirement to teach with you! I would volunteer to be your assistant! Yes! Laughter heals many front line wars!
I'm on the edge of my seat wanting to know how the first Tristan story ended with the superintendent!😂😂😂😂
Love these stories! 👏👏👏 Hearing hilarious, crazy, unbelievable experiences like these always encourage me that I am not alone! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

The Tristan, respecting the flag. That is the best!!!!
This was great, Thank you !!
I do not have now nor do I plan to get tik tok 😂🤣
In Jr. High and High School…they love new people.
Thank you for posting this here! I'm an old so I don't do the tikkety tok.

ack.
I am loving your CZcams channel! These stories are awesome, lmao! "Who the hell is he?"
You should at least the hell introduce yourself if you have to interrupt class and sneak in on teachers! That would have made that question obsolete!
You are too funny! I wish these stories weren't true. I'm so glad I'm retired, I'm too old to deal with this!😀. Keep up the good work. You're in my prayers.
That last story was hilarious 😂
I had kid ask a person coming in my class who the H*** where they coming in his classroom. Lol.
Thanks for putting videos on CZcams. I don’t have a TikTok account. These stories are hilarious!
Girl, you are a stitch. I love you so much, love your laugh 😂
I did a lesson on a words. And I came to dam. One of my first graders shouts across the room "you said we couldn't talk like that. If you get to I get to!" Smh
I love your story times!!!!
Awe!! Yay!!
Lol. I would have melted into the floor also. I wanted to become a elementary school teacher. With everything that is going on I stopped with degrees
Little mermaid plot 😂😂😂 that bastard 🤣😂
… and they 👏🏼 are👏🏼 all👏🏼 relatable!👏🏼
Your students are so lucky to have you. Having an outstanding sense of humor is such a saving grace for a teacher. It’s a tough job! Thank you for sharing those stories. Your personality is uplifting as well. :-))
In kindergarten graduation I don’t know if all school ask the kids what they want to be when they grow up, but if they do, what’s the funniest answer you’ve gotten.I had one kid say they wanted to be a puppy, not a puppy doctor or trainer but a actual puppy.
I work in daycare. Oh the stories spanning my 13 years so far! 😂
What age? I’m with 2’s.
Mostly 3's
Out here, they usually start teaching plot in the 3rd grade. I can see my kid saying that in the 3rd grade 😂
This is just awesome..... Please continue this series mam. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Our Tristan's can be hilarious
You are so fun to watch thank you so much for lifting my spirit today.
You are fantastic! Every story cracks me up, hilarious!!:))
Thanks for sharing these. I don't have TikTok.
@@MeganVictoriaKearns they are TRUE!!! I never know if I should laugh or cry out in despair. 😉
Bless You ❤ Love your stories
Wow, when I subbed you were brand new - you are the fastest growing channel ever! I love your stories and am re-watching them as I do octordles on another tab.
Gal, your stories are great.
Hello! I teach 6th grade science and can totally relate to you! I love your stories! I don't have Tic Tok so I appreciate you putting them on CZcams! BtW, my "Tristian" is named "Bob" ! Lol. Thanks for keeping it real!
I've got lots of Tristans. They trampled on my nerves but also very often provided reason for a good laugh WITH them, not about them!
Found you and Rebecca. Watching this with my daughter and loving it! Thanks for these stories and your point of view.
Too funny! I have a ‘Tristin’ as a son and his actual name is Tristin! I can so relate! Good news, he ended up going into Missionary work. Lol
That last story tho LOL
Im raising a Tristan…. 😭😭🤣 Except my Tristan is my 4 year old daughter, Hazel. 🤣
I'm here for it ALL best friend as well as emotional support. 😊🤗❤❤❤❤
I just shouted out “I QUIT!”
1. I’m home alone in my pajamas and 2. I’ve never even been a teacher.
The last story though! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No judgement, I'm working on my long range plans. Hugs from Canada.
My son’s name is Tristan and he definitely acts like what you describe as a Tristan too! So funny 😆
Loved Esp.1 You bring me happiness, Tic Tok is now banded on district devices. Easy ..
O.M.G.!!!!! I laughed so hard while at the dentist office!!! I think my Tristan is named Kaleb! 🤣
I'm so happy I finally found your channel! I've been trying to find it since I saw you on Bored Teachers.

The Lion King is also awesome for teaching archetypes.
