Interestingly enough, Alucard says that giving up on life is what gets people killed, and that Seras's refusal to give up on life is what gave her the right to become a vampire. Integra says something similar about the Millenium Vampires, with the opposite message - they couldn't bear the weight of their own humanity, so chose to become vampires instead (sort of in-line with the Major's thinking that vampires can only steal humanity, and that he is above them because he has his own humanity). And of course Anderson correctly points out that most vampires are Death Seekers in his famous "demons don't cry" speech. But of course, Integra points out that the Major, for all his talk of being driven by his humanity, has none. Contrast that to Seras, a vampire who even after reaching her full power, doesn't seem to give up on her humanity, refusing to drink the blood of Zorin in an effort to make sure that her soul doesn't become diseased.
Ive cooked on this for years, He denounced God at the time of his execution and drank blood to become the first vampire. He wasn't turned by an another vampire, but directly cursed by God. He is the Vampire and Seres is the only he ever sired. the nazi vampires were artificial, created with an implanted chip. This chip was created from their research on Mina Harpers corpse, she being the only one who drank Dracula's blood.
That's also something I've recently thought about. For a show about hunting vampires, we see very little real vampires. Just a single one in the first episode.
I find it every interesting that The Major had the potential of becoming a true pure vampire and not an artificial vampire. Yet he rejects the opportunity to stay pure

It wouldn't matter. The Major died thinking he had killed Alucard once and for all. He got everything he wanted as long as he was alive. And even if he somehow survived? He'd just try again and again.. because that's the kind of person Major is. War, blood, death and battle is everything he strive for.

Planning 5.5 decades to defeat one vampire for 3 decades only to fail for eternity after those three decades... Costly at first. But that can eventually no longer matter in the eternal run. Big as $1M can be, $1B is just a far bigger price to pay. Then it becomes a trillion... Then a quadrillion.... It goes up infinitely because Alucard lives eternally 😭😭📝📝

A group's greatest foe is each other. The greatest criminal of humanity is humanity itself." Simply put, take any small or big number and divide it by ITSLEF. You get 1. And what better example of 1 than "one's self"? So yeah... Glad to run into this video since I am a big fan of Hellsing anyway.
