😂 you gave off "Mr. Rogers" vibes while feeding the alpacas
Haha, It was very wholesome.
😂that's kinda true.
The alpaca's face while eating the apple is priceless!
Thanks Sterling that was fun.
Fantastic!
Another great episode!
Was checking you channel every hour for this 😅
Short but a beautiful video ❤
Just wanted to say I love all your videos... when I'm stuck in my office at home wishing I could be out on the road your channel is always playing in the background. I ride a sport bike but you have opened my eyes to the possibilities of having an ADV and make me think about it more every day. I have always wanted to take a camping trip like in your videos. Keep on being an inspiration! :)
Glad you like them! Thanks for the comment and have good luck out there!
Those 🦙s didn’t mind the apples. I picture them just savoring it. Hell, at the end it looked like it was in paradise chewing on it.
Nice to see you back👍…the Washington Peninsula rocks and BC is lovely…enjoy!
So Good love your stuff watch every min
Alpacas. Didn’t see that one coming. 😂 Best little while friends, ever! 😃
Glad to see you back on the air. 👍
Your videos are so awesome and inspirational
absolutely great videos .... they make me dream
Ty!!
So glad you made it to hurricane ridge; such a beautiful area. Loved the alpaca filming and tip about how to camp with them. On my bucket list now. Excited for the Black Ball ferry video coming up.
Alpacas are so unique. I love how they “hum”.
Great footage with the Alpacs Sterling, Cracked me up!. A very intellectual conversation with your new friends. LoL
That is definitely a unique camping experience. 👍
Hi Sterling, I was anxious to see you again. Another nice episode! Marc, Quebec, Canada 🇨🇦😉🏍
Great vid , thanks for posting amazing routes
Man that's a great camp and views. I had the duty and pleasure of working many areas of WA state. There are different mineral plants in the mountains that I inspected. It's a big wonderful place. That part is just so removed from the maddening crowd in Seattle. Good vid. I'll check out your BDR work as well. We have some alpaca farm fairly nearby in SW VA. Take care, be safe on your current travels.
Feed them, and they will come. 😊 (love the soundtrack as well, Sterling)
Glad to see you back, I was having withdrawals.........
Fun video. Good job. Enjoyed watching :)
This was great. What views and the Alpacas were cute.
Another good video Sterling. I hope you and Eva are doing well!
Great series Sterling..
Thanks for all your work bringing us along.
Welcome back man!! 😊 Hope the BDR filming went smoothly!
Camping with Alpakas and feeding them apples. How cool is that? Thanks for sharing, Günter/Nürnberg
Glad to see you back with some great filming. Looking forward to your images of BC & Vancouver Island. Cheers from the northern parts of Vancouver Island.
Stick around… My trip to side bay is coming up in a while.
Welcome BACK!!! Thank you again.... :o)
Great insight into your life on the road Stirling. About to head off on my Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 in 3 weeks time for a clockwise lap of Australia, about 15,000 kms. Hopefully I'll document as much as is practical. Stay safe out there.
Glad you’re back.
Such a great time ! Nice to see you in my home state :)
Hurricane Ridge is amazing. I was there in 1995, but we took a car up the paved road. Looks like it's more fun on the motorcycle though.
remember in the mid 1980's when all the girls had that haridoo
Lol!
You have some unique adventures, Sterling. I've been to Hurricane Ridge on my FJR1300a. The peninsula is a wondrous place, and one of the beaches my son and I went to was all smooth volcanic rock. It was a fun trip for me. I was concerned that my son a Georgia Tech engineering grad would be bored with his father, but he said, "Dad you're anything but boring. How many 56 year old fathers take an 8000 mile trip on a motorcycle"? I think he was being kind, but I'm sure you understand and agree that each of us lives one life, and it's up to us to pack as much into that life as possible.
My son and I camped in the rain forest a couple of nights. So beautiful and lush and fresh smelling. BTW get any ideas about trading your BMW in for a camel ? You could have a friend while on the road, and Eva could stay home more and tend to the lodge. Sort of a Sterling of Arabia, well Arizona anyway. That sort of thing. Thanks for the content buddy. I'll bet it gets difficult to come up with ideas for content. I'm not much of a television person, and would much rather watch these adventure travels and let my mind run in the wind. Stay safe and be cool.... I think it's time to read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, again. If one can ride along some two lane highway at about 7:00 at night, and maybe 70 degrees, and feel the air and let their mind wonder, you'll soon discover that your molecules and the air molecules are not far apart. You become part of the beautiful universe that's all around you. That was riding through Montana in the early evening, for me. I couldn't have felt more part of something, and I think that's what motorcycling is about.
I love the solo trips the most. Although you are not alone, we here with you. Thanks
Great video thank you very well done thanks for taking us along cheers to ya.
Welcome back! I was going through withdrawals.
I am hoping we will see a northern California BDR soon.
Glad to see a notification. I feel like as soon as i got settled in, it was over. Thats the sign of a good video right? Thanks for sharing.
you're going to meet a lot of snow here in BC
So good to see you back on your solo trip and thank you for assisting the BDR team with the new ORBDR. And what a unique camping experience with alpacas!
Welcome back! Good fun. I so miss the PNW.
probably gave the alpacas the shits with the apples....lol
Finally!
👍🏼🇺🇸
Great to see your videos coming back after the couple week break! Cheers 👍
Welcome back, Sterling! Glad to see this trip continue! Those Alpaca's were cool, and I love animals, so now I'm going to have to check hipcamp for something like that in my area!
The ORBDR film was outstanding too! Thanks for another great production!
Yay your back! Looking forward to seeing your ride through my neck of the woods!🍁
What a scenery!! 👍👍
I think a series of motorcycle films with an alpaca farm as the destination for each episode, and of course, sterling feeding alpacas in each episode is a must for 2024.
Funny but you mention the crappy traffic about in the Puget Sound region about 4 times. I would've suggested taking the 101 along the coast or HWY97 along the east side of the cascades through Oregon/Washington. The traffic in Seattle is one of the many reasons I moved out of Seattle to Spokane about 4 years ago. The riding is superb and the roads are empty and curvy! Also the weather is so much better out of the Puget trough. that morning marine layer sucks! I'd rather wake up to blue sunny skies any day, especially when camping. Looks like you had a great trip in spite of the the Seattle area!
Glad you're back, Sterling! I was worried about you!
Gorgeous scenery! When I think of RTW adventure travel and realize I'm not doing that at my age, I console myself with all of the wonderful variety of scenery and experiences in the continental United States. There is no excuse for not getting out there and enjoying it. Thank you so much for sharing, Sterling.
Glad to see you’re doing ok! Been worried about you since you hadn’t posted a video in a few weeks. Safe travels my friend!
Excellent! Good to see you are back! BTW as a Vancouver Island resident I'll give you a hint, it's pronounced Juan de Fewka, at least on this side.🙂. Looking forward to the rest of your journey.
playlist is not working properly , next video is not coming automatically, should be come next video in que but not coming
🥰🥰🥰
Always enjoy your videos. Not sure if the mention of wild turkeys was related to the scene with the guinea hens though??
I’m frustrated that your new videos don’t show up in my feed, even though I’m subscribed and like the videos I see. I’m on erbend that YT doesn’t like videos where gasoline is burnt….
Mko
Awesome riding. Looks like you use a handlebar Ram mount for the Zumo - how did you power it - direct to the battery, or ignition switched?
@Sterling What happened to your windscreen and navi on the BDR? It seems you made a few mods somewhere between this episode and the one before the BDR 😮
I forget, which ones will try to kill you in your sleep, alpacas or llamas? 😂
And your work on the BDR movies is really good!
Wives----wives will kill you in your sleep. Especially if you snore... Ha ha !
Sterling, excellent film. Question from one of your students, in your POV shots from the chin mount, it appears the moto dash is centered in the scene and you are shooting in linear then cropping in post? If so, is that to focus our eyes to the dash, with a bit of horizon but the dash is the POV focus?
Are usually don’t think about it that much to be honest. I just put the helmet on the chin and let it roll. At the most I will sometimes switch up the views from super wide to normal just to try to make it look a little bit different now and then. I understand that shooting in the floor by three aspect. Ratio is also a good thing because it does allow you to crop and post if your camera is not completely level. I hope this helps.
@@SterlingNoren that is very helpful. Yes several others recco 4:3 as you can crop but if I use iMovie, I get the black bars. With professional software like Adobe or FCP, you can stretch it a bit to eliminate the bars. Thank you again!
You changed your GPS configuration as was on the bar under the windscreen and now a different style unit on your handlebars?
Yes I switched to a Garmin Zummo ask T because my BMW NAV six broke again
@@SterlingNoren got it heard this a lot on Nav 6 and Zumo
What helmet are you wearing?
You should be a waitress 😂
