According to World Bank statistics, since the late 1970s, China has been responsible for over 70 percent of poverty reduction worldwide.
More than ten million impoverished people a year on average have been lifted out of poverty in the country since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said the anti-poverty campaign was "the most important contribution" to the global poverty reduction cause.
How has China managed it? The documentary "Farewell to Poverty" tells the story of how the world's most populous country succeeded in completely eradicating absolute poverty.

I am a common person in China .i really appreciate chinese government ‘s effort . My hometown is the poorest village in the south west of China in Sichuan province.but when I go back to my hometown I can not believe how it is changed .people ‘s life is much better that past .

China's poverty alleviation is a miracle in its own right, never seen before in all of human history, sadly western propaganda had mis-labelled it communism as though getting out of poverty is bad thing.
Meanwhile, the west promotes capitalism, a system designed to enslave the poor and enriched the already feudal rich class.

I would appreciate it if any country could alleviate the extreme poverty like China in recent years for the extraordinary achievement in humanity in recent years. As it clearly shows that when China has created enormous wealth during the last forty years, their priorities for supporting their 1.4 billion population with pragmatic efforts that have created 800 middle class citizens.

We need help like this in America, like for instance, Appalachia. The mining companies took over the people's land, used it up for their own wealth - fukked the people over. There is an orderliness to Chinese society. Ordinary people and authorities work together in harmony. The poor peasants are happier because they are allowed to make money for themselves. The authorities help them with training. Soon, the poor wants to enlarge his production to make more money. The authorities help the poor with guidance and logistic connections.

Tears in my eyes when I see my fellow countrymen got out of poverty. Our central government set a long term plans and honored executiion by supporting those under-privilege provences and townships across the nation. But that wasn't by handing out money. The approach was to support with the needed resources and skills training for the people to be self-reliance and self-motivating to improve the quality of living, and most of all, to re-gain their pride being China citizen wanting to contribute for the well-being of our nation, The Great China!

Young man with the peppers indeed is a brilliant person. Peppers are extremely healthy, one of the healthiest foods there is, & hot peppers are VERY HEALTHY, good for curing many illnesses also. I studied with Dr. Richard Shulze on herbs, he's in America, they used to call him 'Dr. Cayenne'. He said the hotter the pepper is, the better. So I never liked hot foods, I made myself like peppers. Now I love them.

This is a very HUMBLE ACT with a BIG IMPACT. Fighting poverty that leads to prosperity! It also (and I hope continue) solve the problem of unemployment, hunger and relationships.
1. Employment. Be a farmer of your own land or be a tenant farmer.
2. The more you produce land product the more food.
3. Relationship. Because some parents wouldn't need to leave their children to go to big cities to work, when the job is near them. I hope this reduce the "left over children" issue.
*All in all if this country became prosperous, I'll still be happy for them even If I don't live there.
