Saw you break into tears and hug the other guy at the summit literally said it all about how hard climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is..Mr. Rainbolt, thank you for sharing this unforgetable experience with us. I'm so happy that you can make it to the top safely. And a big shoutout to those people who came along with you, especially porters!! They show us how much support really means to someone.
And also, you should make a compilation of this year. From climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to hosting the World Cup this year is wild!!

Yo rainbolt, amazing job! I did the exact same thing you did in 2018, same route, same camps, same lack of training, except I had -40 degree weather on summit day, and no headaches! It was so nostalgic watching the videos and photos of your trip scroll by, all looking exactly the same as when I did it, so tha k you for letting me relive it. I know 1000% that I would NOT do it again, once was more than enough for me! Serious congratulations because I can vouch that it is the heardest, and yet most rewarding thing I've ever done. Big love dude ❤

So amazing watching your trip up there Rainbolt. I did the exact same trip up there exactly 8 years to the date that you did it. Watching the video brought back so many memories of the trip and so amazing that you had a clear sky for you summit day. There is nothing more motivating than seeing the sunrise on summit day and knowing just how close you are. Such an amazing video and so nostalgic watching it and bringing back memories of my own trip.

Type 2 fun, the best kind of fun, the kind that feels like true hell when you're in the moment but when you look back upon it seems like the greatest thing you've done in your life. Type 2 fun is memories that will last literally forever, they are the kind of stories you'll tell your grandkids about and they're the kind of memories that will bring you out of the darkness when everything else feels bleak. These adventures truly give us life, you'll learn so much about yourself and the world around you, and nothing can take those accomplishments away from you. I highly recommend anyone to go overnight hiking, whether that's to climb a mountain or just to enjoy the serenity of nature- and massive congratulations to Rainbolt for completing that mission and showing us what it's all about! You're an inspiration for so many of us, and that accomplishment is gonna be part of you for the rest of your life!

Not sure if you were fully joking there but Everest is gonna be waaaay out of your league. You need months of hard training, sponsorships and probably summit a couple more lower mountains first. It's way more technical and dangerous and almost 90% scaling ice and snow. And you'd need to be lucky with finding a good weather window (that's when hundreds of other mountaineers are gonna be there as well). Don't consider it. It's something completely different...

Some of the things you said in this video really reminded me of going to the snow level of the Nevado Santa Isabel here in Colombia. Obviously that's a 1 day thing, (and then add on the two days we took to get down to the natural reserve we stayed at at the very end) so not comparable to a mountain like Kilimanjaro, but definitely a lot of the same feelings and experiences. Hope you can come here someday and experience any one of the amazing natural wonders we have.
Edit: that three was really interesting. Because it really reminded me of the frailejones we have here. Same general features.

if you want to have an amazing view of the stars (and have a lot of money) I recommend doing Mauna Kea on Hawaii.
I come from WA (The yellow street pole place), and the outback here has some of the best views of the night sky in the world, but Mauna Kea was something different. And I wasn't even able to go to the summit then, just some volcanic cones 2/3rds of the way up.
