I'm stucked in Platinum trying to rank seriously. I tired of thinking, I probably will copy this burn deck. Thank you Seth.
Probably not the deck for you then considering Seth's games very played in gold and platinum as far as I can tell. Just look up any mono red aggro deck that's not this one basically.
If you have more than 3 lands in play, something is VERY wrong with your burn (!) deck.
If you're excited about a land on turn 9 (!!! !!! !!!) (32:50) and you play a card that does literally nothing, your "burn" deck is absolute trash, sorry.

If you want fast mythic just play red deck wins. Monstrous rage is the lightning bolt red deck wins needed.
I typically float around platinum as well, though I only play the Explorer ladder. My thing is that I don’t enjoy playing Tier 1 decks for long. I hit mythic grinding with Cheesefang a couple seasons ago but can barely look at the deck anymore, let alone play it lol. It’s difficult to get too far into/beyond Platinum with a brew, but it’s how I enjoy playing!
Y'all, I'm starting to think 2 mana Shock with a secondary effect is just *good*.
Have to wonder how it'd play with Aftermath.
Virtue is absurd (and also super fun to play!)

Im not sure i understand the not aggressively mulliganing. Seths justification is if we draw land 2 were set. But with this deck specifically going to 5 but having 2 lands and a resolve or impulse is perfectly fine. Thats the point of them. This deck is not going to win if it cant play lands, but it has enough impulse draws to make up for a smaller hand with less action. This is a deck that should be ok with an aggressive mulligan

There were times you delayed playing the virtue because you'd lose a card you had in exile you impulsed drew. Should losing a 1 card be worth it to activate your super strong card impulse engine one turn earlier? The enchantment would make up for the loss of that card, right?
I love that we’ve completely given up on saying “Kumano” or “Kakkazan,” and simply call the card “Faces.” 😂😂
It's the one word in the card name I might say correctly sometimes.

With 22 lands and 1 land in the starting hand, you have a little less than 40% chance to draw a land turn 2.
Chance of at least one land on turn:
2 -64%
3-79%
4-88%
5-93%
I'm pretty sure you just can't keep 1 land hands in this deck.
Part of the plan is casting a 5 mana do nothing enchantment... I don't think this is well made at all
Virtue honestly feels like a win more card in this deck.

Used this deck but didn't have enough wildcards for 4 virtues (just 3), switched 1 out with Chandra, had 2 mechanized warfares, used 2 mishra's foundries as well and with this deck hit mythic for the first time. Started playing MTG arena consistently about 2 months ago. Thanks for the content. Your explanation of cards has helped me understand the game so much more

I have more problem with finding rares WCs than mythical WCs so I suppose that this is actually a plus
For an easy cheap upgrade, I would try to run some number of Charming Scoundrels. The Rummage could smooth your draws, you can make a flamebreather or something harder to kill, or make a treasure to Virtue a turn sooner.. not to mention we still have incremental life loss on Wicked Role tokens..

Urabrask as a 1 or 2 of would make the deck potentially worse but way more satisfying and rewarding imo

This was really sweet but I'm not sure hoping a 5-mana enchantment will draw you out of a sloggy late-game will help all that much when mono-Red is much faster now thanks to Goddric and Monstrous Rage, so you can afford to drop your curve a lot more than before. Regardless, this was a really fun watch.
As a funny aside, someone went 5-1 at the most recent challenge with only 13 lands in their mono-red aggro list, and I gotta get their mojo. Absolutely bonkers.
That just goes to show how cheating the shuffler is the way to go. 13 lands is something that only works by cheesing arena.

@@lamiaprincess6371 you can easily do it on arena, since the bo1 shuffler will guarantee a perfect curve for aggro decks no matter how few lands you run.
Honestly, I've been there before. Sometimes it just works.
Been playing virtue+koth/chandra with volt charge with similar idea. So much fun when virtue gose off.
So much fun when you lose to actual burn on turn 3 or 4 with a full hand of cmc 4+ cards in hand
Finally got my 4th virtue to complete the deck and wow its hilarious... i wonder if it would even work swapping out the virtues for mech warfare

I think it would be really good if you add urabrask to it and instead of playing burn spells you just have one mana card draw.

this that got me from bronze to second-tier gold very quickly.
I know it would take it off it's land balance a little but am the only one who thinks Boros Burn would be better with this because of the occasional Life gain? Plus we can play out own Sunfall package for those 4/4s and other chumping strategies. Still an interesting thing to build off of.

I added virtue to my urabrask commander deck and each time I had it on the board I drew 60+ cards

If anyone doesn't realize, he literally took the best cards from the T1 Pauper burn deck, and splashed virtue and a few cards that are effectively waiting to become penny dreadful chaff.... I'm not surprised it works since half of these cards are staples, but I'd skip crafting most of the uncommons (except Kumano) as they are the first places you want to upgrade.
It seems like the deck should have more lands if you’re trying to cast a 5 mana enchantment. Typical mono red games don’t even hit 5 lands usually

Was very interested in playing this deck truthfully, but for whatever reason, arena will not let me play it. Used up wildcards and all that and it keeps giving me the yellow triangle no matter what
This hand is so good.......if we hit a land. Seth never learns lol. I don't keep one landers unless I'm at 5/4 or i have a one mana ramp spell like a utopia sprawl.

Steal & swinging w/ the opponent's *Titan* either wins outright or ruins your opponent's day.
Because I am a Crazy Person, I am fusing this w/ last week's deck.
We'll see how stormy this gets wt Pia making haste-y fliers w/ each *Virtue* pull!
When did he ever blood away a 2nd bloody betrayal match 4? The only thing he blooded away was a witchstalker’s frenzy
No Harth Elementals for 4/5s for R late game that can draw 2 cards for R1 before coming down in top deck mode? AND no Kenra Spellspear for R1 2/2 with trample and prowess that flips into a 3/3 with double prowess, trample, and ward 2 for 3 mana and 2 life in mono red?
Mono Red Burn has so many beastly uncommons that you aren't playing, that easily stand up to sheoldred and Addaline without having to hope to draw your expensive removal.
Honestly standard Burns top end is much better suted for a few copies of both Swords that are in standard. Protection from every color but white is way better than a five drop enchantment that does nothing on its own and is attached to a really bad shock.
I have to point out that the Virtue is not really a rare. This is in essence a four mythics deck rather than a four rares one.
One could make a case that it is for all intents and purposes a zero rares deck.

Are you done with modern? That's the only content I'm really interested in but you haven't made any modern videos in forever.
Hasn't done any pioneer videos either. I think the format just isn't fun anymore. It's always the same decks and nothing really changes.
