- Jacob Thundil is looking for an investment worth £75,000 in exchange for a 5% equity stake in 'Cocofina' - a Coconut specialist brand but there are a quite a few conflicting opinions as to his market expenditure strategy...
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity. - Zábava
They turned over 3.4 million last year and have 55 employees. Good for them.

Cool. Thanks for your comment. ☺👍👍💜
Can easily see this being bought out by one of the giant food conglomerates for upward of £50 million at some point. Excellent investment!
Imagine if Tej was there at the time, with his Pharmaceutical connections.
"I think I could really build your brand"
Tej is so unlikable
Bapple a company his dad built. Silver spoon
He would ask for 40%
if this guy had been smart he wold have gone to see Tej directly ...
"How do I keep my existing customer base, not upset them" -that shows his integrity.
It also shows the manipulation and market monopoly that Tesco would bring to bear ..
It also shows that his customers are snobs.
And also good understanding of long-term business dealings.
All of the above :)
@@ian_bhaha well said
Is nobody gonna mention how polite he was to apologise to Peter when shaking hands with Nick? That was top class.

My god, did you see how FLUMMOXED Sarah was?
She couldn't have been more flummoxed on flummoxingist day of her life if she had an electrified flummoxing machine...
Thank God they told us about it in the video title; I wouldn't have clicked the video if I hadn't known I'd get to see some top FLUMMOXING action.
Love this comment
I was like "BAIT a minute" !! "That womans totally FLUMMOXED" !!!
Is a good word tho
lol never heard that word before
They really dragged that lady in for her to answer one question then stand in silence for the next 10 minutes 😂
Love the way he totally cut out his 50% partner when accepting the offer.
@@Hi-kq1vi She didn't even want to be in the den so they probably already discussed him making the decision prior.
They cut tonnes out, it was mentioned somewhere before, sometimes these pitches can last 2 hours, so they probably just cut the majority of her talking out. She said she was camera shy as well, that's probably a reason too.
@@jbona3006 Yeah, she probably was there for hours.
@@jbona3006 A 2 hour pitch? Nobody has time for that-if you cannot outline & sell your product in 5-10 minutes then you shouldn't be there.

What he's trying to say is that the wallpaper on his desktop computer is a picture of a contact lens.

Uh huh but what he actually said was my background is contacts
My background is virus
Yeah why would they be interested in visual aid :3

They never got it, though. The deal didn't go through.

I saw that one a few days ago. I burst out laughing when they look at Peter with a blank face.
Same, CZcams recomended me this pitch right after the Liverpool tuck tuck One, what a night and day Diference.
Cant take Tuca seriously whenever he tries to tell people about his connections, offices or kitchen space hahaba
The initialed shirtsleeves does it for me.
Shannon tell him you don’t get out of bed for office space
It's the way he always sounds so pleased with himself over these things. "I've got connections, I can get you into M&S!" when these 2 as they seem to have decent sales figures would probably have a good chance of getting their products into supermarkets on their own eventually, it's not impossible to make happen without him. Same with the office space, might end up being a good deal for the business but it would make their lives much easier if he just asked for a lower % instead.
I couldn't figure out what he was trying to do with asking for an extra 5% equity either.
@@Hi-kq1vi 😂😂😂😂💀💀💀that is hilarious imagine having your initials lol
Peter - “Really nice bar. I’m impressed. You should pick me” Ego crushed “yOu mAdE a BiG miStAke”

Peter is such a little narcissist, well there are a few more there, but he genuinely doesn't care to show it. I really couldn't work with him, at all
Jacob is by far the most impressive and well rounded entrepreneur I've seen on the show. Wish him every success

The fact that Peter was so annoyed for not getting picked, must have meant that he really saw the potential in it.

Wow, that is an incredible entrepreneur. He had all the right answers for every question, was super confident and passionate about the product, and seemed super genuine about everything. Probably the most investable guy I've seen on the show honestly.

Probably the best pitch and questioning I’ve seen for a long while, watching these videos - fantastic entrepreneurs

That was very smart to go with Nick and Sarah. With Sarah’s food connection and having two dragons on board.
Peter is such a sore loser... I can only imagine playing board games with him 😂
I love seeing Peter not getting his way.
What an ego, I think you made a big mistake & why is that Peter? Sarah can get him into the supermarkets & between her & the guy likely Boots as well.
it is called playa hatin
Large men hate not getting their own way!
@@Pilkie101 hmm not sure you've dealt with many short men
Yep, usually he wins but Peter was too greedy this time. They had 5 offers to choose from, Peter had too much confidence that his name alone would win the deal.
This man is very much switched on! His partner is also seemingly very capable although she said little, Jacob's demeanor and attitude towards her spoke volumes. Congratulations to both of them. Well done.
Most of the comments here are dismissive of her, the dragons certainly were not.
They said that he'll get the orders/sales and then she'll fulfil them. When you hear the quantities of some of the items they were shifting that's very impressive. She's playing an important role and she's clearly very good at it. If you accept orders and then you cannot fulfil those orders in time and let your clients down you're in trouble, yet she obviously coped with it all and their growth. She's awesome, they're both awesome! You can see the respect he has for her.
Good luck to them both.
“I know Tesco.” - Sarah
I know Tesco too ... you go up the road, left at the roundabout and its 50yds on the right. lol
same, I have personally received several emails from Tesco indicating an interest in me investing 99p in return for two tins of tomatoes
Sarah’s face when Touker always sells his I have great connections with Marks & Sparks had me lolll 🙄🙄🙄 the next will be I can give you offices but I want 50% of the business lol
Yes he always wants an absurd amount of equity because "There's alot of work to be done!"
10:10 Touker to 2 Indian entrepreneurs; "I'm gonna add a little bit of spice to it" LMAO!!
Very rare that the people doing the pitch is actually the dragons, great company
good for them, flawless pitch and seemed really genuine people
Good negotiating tactic by Nick at @13:00, getting Sarah to come down to the terms that he offered (which itself was a sweetner) and then going for the "you get 2 for 1" to the entrepreneur. None of the other Dragons had a chance from that point.
“I’m Jacob Thundil, Chief Nut...”
What a mad lad 😄
I was sold then and there. Nice guy
Peter “I could pick the phone up to Boots”... wants 20% of business forever for making a phone call.
Could help change their lives by giving them that phone number and introducing them to the right person .. but won’t.
I was pretty impressed by Nick here. He made it sound like he was just proposing a walk in the park.
Exactly
No cap that chick is impressive. She clocked him from across the room and went from internship in a new country to 50% partner. Legit respect to her sense of adventure.
seems like he fell in love with manisha and gave her 50% of the business. How other way does an intern get 50% of the company? Most interns dont even get minimum wage.
Maybe, but there's many times when a subordinate shows incredible skill that they jump the ladder fast and end up on equal footing.
I'm surprised the dragons didn't clarify the nature of the relationship. Such things can have a big impact on a business if it goes sour
Maybe he just recognized that she was very valuable to him, and he comes from a place of poverty where they are both on the journey together. Not everyone has the western business perspective of pillaging the others even in your own business.
@@vkak1 skills huh
She's not an intern anymore. She taking care of the entire operations
Damn, I need to start and sell part of a share of a business to Sarah just so I can get a hug from her. I would give up 99% of the company for just £1. Hopefully, she doesn't say no.
Ha ha ha. I was just thinking the same thing.

I love how the offers reflected their products...a wide and varied range.
Last I heard was, they were yet to receive the money as they were being grilled on various details , things usually more established businesses have. However the dragons did meet Jacob multiple times after the show. One thing that the show did good for them was it gave them Free Publicity and their sales doubled in one year.
Glad to see they are still doing well. I don't like coconuts but fully support businesses like this that think about their customers just as highly as business growth. Nice guy too, no nonsense no buzzwords no PR speak, just straight up facts in simple terms. Neat.
he did a great job. he was clearly somewhat nervous, but didn't let his nerves stop him. this is the most investable type of candidate for most vcs - humble but not a pushover, hardworking, very realistic with no absurd self-valuations, no overly grandiose pitch, and with enough of a proven track record with that product.
