  • At the international food festival I watched the Malaysian Roti champion prepare the country's traditional flatbread in a process similar to spinning a pizza crust. The main difference is that the end result is much thinner and then folded into a square. The other example I watched the champion fold stayed filled with air like a ziplock bag. In fact, you can see one of the inflated ones briefly at the end of the video when the 'apprentice' roti maker puts the completed bread on the table.
