Wow..I didn't know that Hastings had a K-mart
Their late-80's/early-90's building design. I'm split on its look, it's unique, but they didn't use it very long. This was last overhauled during the Big Kmart renovation, and man alive does it still retain much of that 1998 look- even the video screen from Kmart Solutions!!

Your lucky my friend that your kmart is staying open , ours closed down last year , I was really sad , if I was a billionaire I would have bought it out & kept it open under a new name of course , cause I don't think they would have let me keep the kmart name ! 😢
This video didn't age well. She closed up last year. They are renovating the kmart section into three other businesses. A farm fleet type store opened last week in the old garden section area.
This is also closing at the end of December

I used to work for Kmart in Dearborn and I work under a supervisor who was very racist and fired a lot of blacks. When I first got hired I was told she was racist by people who were white.but at the time I was naive and refuse to believe this because I didn't want to prejudge. But slowly the six people who got hired with me slowly got fired over dumb and stupid reasons. I once got wrote up for drinking a cup of water at the water fountain. And it was because I was drinking on the sales floor where the water fountain was. I then got wrote up for drinking because I was told I wasn't on breakwhich was true but of course I had worked 8 hours and not once took a single break because I took pride in my work and wanted to get everything done but I still got wrote up.then I got wrote up for not putting away all my strays even though it was a three-person job and I was the only one because she fired everyone else. I had heard many horror stories about the supervisor and that was probably one of the reasons why a lot of people stop shopping there at least at that location. Personally I haven't shopped there in over 20 years because of the way I was treated with was racist. We are also other things that I won't go into that happen. quite frankly I'm glad Kmart went out of business it serves him right for not taking care of the employee.
