Mr. Bogner your amps and preamp pedals have the finest tone and gain structures available.
    You are a genius.

Sounds great. A deal came up to purchase one for $160, so I bought it. Can't wait to try it out this week.

In this video it does.... but i used the "red" ecstasy pedal at a gig tonight because they backlined a vox AC-30 (I normally run through a Mesa Dual rec) ... long story short I play rock/hard rock and I had a fatttt tone tonight through the red ecstasy pedal.... I'm not a fan of the blue pedal though... there are other overdrive pedals that sound better

Thats because he is. In my opinion Bogner makes some of the best Amps and Pedals you can buy out there. But you can hear his german accent :D

Feel the title is misleading. Labeled as preamp pedals, yet they go into the clean channel. Many have tried to use it as a preamp. Simply sounds dull in that way. Great pedals none the less. Own the red ans the blue

I bet you haven't tried out the Bogner's, I got the Blue one yesterday and I got to test it against a couple of other overdrives and the OCD is miles behind the Bogner, I had never tried a pedal that feels so amp like and sounds so amp like

Hi, Hervin. With guitar pedals like these, it really is all trial and error to see what sounds good to you. Try it out either way and see what you like most. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me anytime. Thanks for the interest!

Actually I have to disagree. The Blue is by far the best of the two and it is an excellent pedal. But than I think that Mesa sound bad also. I prefer my Engl and Rivera. All personal preference.

Most amp-in-a-box pedals are designed to work best with a clean Fender tube amp. Generic for your eyes but you should listen with your ears.

Generic bluesy licks are not going to showcase the highgain abilities of this pedal! I'm not against playing mellow rock and blues, but the guitarist could at least try to play something metal and heavy when Mr Bogner dialed the pedal for a high gain tone

    • @Hoopin_EZZY

I have the Wampler Plextortion and the Bogner Ecstacy Red. The Bogner is a much much better pedal. I never use the Wampler anymore. For the money, the Bogner is a fantastic value. But it is to each individuals own taste. I play lead and the Red works great for me. It took me a while to dial it in but I finally found the sweet spot. I use the same setting for both my Les Paul and Strat. The only difference is I use a TC Spark Plug in from of the Red when using the Strat to fatten up the tone. The Red really is a tweakers dream. I noticed that when playing alone the Bogner seemed a little shrill but when playing with my band it cuts through the mix wonderfully and sounds so smooth.
