Southern Belle Orchard slashing their emissions thanks to energy efficient technology

Southern Belle Orchard in Matamata was crowned the Supreme Winner in the 2015 Waikato Farm Environment Awards, and they have been determined to take further measures to reduce the use of fossil fuels in their greenhouses. With help from EECA’s technology demonstration fund, they have slashed their fuel consumption by 50,000 litres a year by investing in dehumidifying heat pumps for their greenhouses.
