    Great job with your reviews. Short, accurate, real. I'm a USA Archery Level 4 Coach and always look for more information to pass on to my students to help them improve. One thing I appreciated from you is your explanation of expansion to soot a hinge release, with emphasis on pushing with your bow arm. Good advise. Thanks. Smoothest draw cycle at 31.5” I’ve felt in 36 years of bowhunting. I shot it head to head vs. my Reign 7 (IBO 340) at 31.25” DL with 536 and 573 grain hunting arrows and the XL was just 2-3 fps slower with a whisker biscuit. Plenty fast for me and easy on the shoulders. 👍

    Love the vids. Especially the ones where you are helping Tim become a better archer.
    I have a request for a video. How about one on finding the correct draw length. Not one that stops at posture, string on tip of nose, corner of mouth. One that tells you how to really fine tune draw length and recognize that you are there? I cant seem to get my hold pattern to be inside the Vegas 10 ring. I'm thinking draw length is a bit off. Whatever help you can provide will be greatly appreciated!!
    Keep up the great work on you tube.😃

      If you are drawing and coming into a solid anchor point, then it may not be your draw length. Try a longer stabilizer or a stabilizer with more point weight. It may help limit movement.

    Dear Bow Manufacturers,
    We as bow hunters pride ourselves on... cutting the sh*t. There may have been a day in the past when you were right there with us. Where did you get off that track? Please cut the sh*t. Bring honesty back to the speed ratings. It has to bother you at some point when you try to reconcile your deception with the empty words "everyone else is doing it". Please give us honesty. We deserve it. We have earned it. You just might regain our respect if you do.
    Love, Your Customers

    your speed test is all over the place - like it was with your WB vs drop away rest tests. Margins in order of 8 fps would compromise your accuracy at longer shots significantly if the variation would be so high (which I don't believe it is). Your setup and the chrono with the light kit will very likely get affected by the fluorescent lamps - especially the one on the left side ("left" wrt view of the vid) will have an impact. If you read the manual of the chrono I recall it states somewhere that fluorescent lights likely have a negative impact on the readings. If the lamps are some kind of modern LED kits I would still test the speed when the chrono is shaded (just use a card box with bottom and 1 side removed) from the lamp light - you will likely get a much more consistent reading.

    Just a question, I noticed on some bows that you speed test the numbers are very close to each other. This bow you just tested it ranged from 300 fps to 308 fps. What is causing this larger inconsistency in some bows?

      Seems in similar league as the Mathews Atlas from last year and the new Hoyt Highline: all of them allow very long DL and BH in large (this Bowtech not so much) ATA platforms with speeds around 293 to 316 at #70 x 30" x 350 grains. It could seems to be "not much" but if you're shooting them at 32"+ DL with high poundage they will deliver plenty of KE to the arrows. Very solid choices for hybrid hunting/3D/target if you don't want to use multiple rigs.

    As someone in a 31.5"-32" draw, it sucks that most companies make a 30.5"-31 flagship and a +33". I keep going back to my "Blow"tech Boss like an abusive relationship. It is a 32" max draw and 36" Axle to Axle. The longer AtoA is nice for string angle and holding, but it's on its 3rd set of limbs in 8yrs. Thanks for the great content, makes me want to head into the shop and try to move on from my current emotional terrorist of a bow.

    Thanks for the great review,,
    I got your point getting shorter draw length 26,5-32" for this bow,, but as it is, it's really hard to find any bow above 31,5", not to mention for 33" draw length.. :)) So maybe some credit for the developer and for being able to buy one quality bow with longer draw length given with minor set back... Maybe if this sells well, then there is point giving in more money for development..
    I also like your opinions and contradiction with Ranch 🧚‍♂ Because I believe, I find myself somewhere from between and I get a lot from both... So thanks for that!!!! Yes, it is not on the plain view but noticeable 🤗🤫😬

      You've got to be kidding me! There are hundreds of bow options for people with short draw lengths. In the rare event that a company makes a bow that accommodates archers with a longer than average draw, you complain that it doesn't work for people with T-Rex arms who already have an abundance of options available?

  • @frankschneider5566
    @frankschneider5566 Před 2 lety +1

    It'd be so great to see what that thing shoots at 32.5 and 33". I could somewhat guess what it would be normally but if it comes alive at the longer DL's then it would sure be nice to know since that's what a whole lot of guys like myself are looking at knowing. I have one on order but if its gonna be 24 fps under the 350 fps at 33" i may rethink this purchase. Companies that miss hitting their rated speeds is not an accident & are not doing themselves any favors.
    I like a lot of other things about this model but it needs to be close to rated speeds. Wish it was 35 or 36" ata to. I think they missed the boat on that to. They gotta have a late release up their sleeves because 33" ata for their LD hunting bow just doesn't seem to cut it especially for Bowtech.

    • @PoeOutdoors
      @PoeOutdoors Před 2 lety

      I picked mine up yesterday morning, set it up at a 31.5" draw length and did some speed testing. It's a legitimate 330 IBO bow on the performance setting but performs really well at longer draw lengths. I'll be uploading a speed test video with different arrow weights to my channel in the near future. The draw cycle is incredible and it is dead and dead quiet when set up with a rest, sights and stabilizer.

    Mr MFJJ. The Revolt has the limb lock system on the side of the limbs that you are supposed to loosen before you make any limb bolt adjustments. If you dont the bow will be out of tune. Might explain why it sounds like crap and has vibration?

    How does it compare to the atlas on draw cycle? I like the tuning system on the bow tech cams but the dampeners just look like they are extremely easy to rip off and loose. A ~3 FPS ibo speed is sadly not enough to make a difference.
    Also, how does the roller guard tuning system work? Is it worth it?
