The plot is simple: Jennifer is captured by the Pumpkin King and Rick goes to rescue her.
Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti (Splatterhouse: Naughty Graffiti) is the second game to be released in the Splatterhouse video game series. Unlike the other games in the series, Wanpaku Graffiti was released only on the Family Computer and is Japanese exclusive. It is also the first Splatterhouse game to be released for a home console.
The game itself differs from the other Splatterhouse games, in that its characters are "super deformed". It also takes a comical approach to its presentation, parodying horror movies and by incorporating other pop-culture references related with the genre into itself. There is also an experience point system. By defeating a certain number of enemies, Rick's health bar grows, it can grow up to 16 points. The number of enemies needed is seen at the top of the screen. New to the series is the password system, which allows players to save their progress. Weapon system is simpler: Rick has an axe for normal attacks and a shotgun with ten shells as a power-up.
I get full ending, find all secrets and show what happens if you touch Pagan on level VII after the credits and show game over screen at the end. -

31:00 so this ending and the cutscene that follows indicates that this cute game is actually a “prequel”?
oh man that cutscene in the end sends chills down my back. when you start to think this is a parallel universe and everything is just a movie, and expecting “ the two will be happy together ever since”, suddenly the game just throws a plot twist at you that all these actually happened BEFORE the tragedy in the original Splatterhouse, making this game a prequel of some sort.
I believe this game isn't really cannon, but you can have a few interpretations about it.

Its like Goonies 2 and Friday the 13th (the LJN game) had a baby. It would have fit right in during NES's normal stable of games back in the day.

chuckobscure splatter house 3 isnt that great and i should know i beat it. this splatterhouse that never saw an american release seems like the best one.

Smokemonster brought me here by coincidentally showing some parts of splatter house on nes,why it caught my eyes,,that’s because this game contains some amezing paralax scrolling and some 3D depth effects,it’s simply amezing,,trough i found the ending somewhat weird but whatever.

Japanese kawaii Splatterhouse. This feels weird yet oddly satisfying. And it's technically a prequel too... what a world to live in.
Jason Vorhees is the main character and the first boss is a twisted version of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Nice 😊

I love the part in the Fly where Jeff Goldblum turned into a California Raisin and was killed by Jason Voorhees, who then went to go watch a Japanese woman dance while he waved his arms as he farted repeatedly
A lot of similarities between this and the original coin-op Splatterhouse game..at least in the early stages. I still play the original..just on my PC now..and it's one of my favorite games of all time.

It was on the arcades and PC Engine (first game) and the Mega Drive (second and third games), but the NES got a nice spin off of the series.
