Please reconsider using this due to the possibility of chemicals from the tire leaching into the water, especially when exposed to heat and sunlight 😬 Exposed steel wire used in the tires construction if ingested, can lead to the potentially fatal hardware disease. The wire can also cut or poke the cattle.
People have done this for decades successfully. Most of the stuff that comes off the surface of the rubber leaves film on water happens shortly after install. After u dump it few times that goes away. Imagine a person drinking from a plastic cup at home or restaraunt. Same thing.
Really curious to see how this works this winter. I like having a drain but can easily be pumped if really needed. Looks awesome

Lol pretty good. It got about 3" of ice on it with that cold snap but the floats never froze up or anything.
