And this is why I’ll never be able to get into pet trading. The unfortunate reality is that I lack any kind of emotion toward names like Sahshuh but get extremely excited about names like cottoncandybear. It is what it is lollll
Update: So it turns out lacking any kind of attachment to these names makes it incredibly EASY to get into pet trading. I’ve now done several wondertrades because I found some WN painted pets while pound surfing and just wanted to try it. Now I have a side account full of fodder and I’m considering doing a PAH. Look what you’ve started, Salem 😭
So I saw this video, not knowing that the veggie/fruit Chias existed, and immediately fell in love with CocoaPuffly, but by the time I checked for her in the Pound she was gone. Today, I found *him* as a sketch chia in the pound and adopted him. He’s going right back to being a cute little Chokato. Just thought I’d share!

Wow this was really interesting. I feel I'm just more into creating pets that have names I like and turning them into what I want than trading but pet trading is *fascinating*

and we cant forget my baby from the pound, nameFUNKYTRUNKtaken (yes he is an elephante) this is a joke btw i understand why
yeah i have gotten back into neopets and i cant buy into the white suburban mom names. feel like im witnessing a strange collective lie when everyone is like "mckaylaleigha is a great name!!" would rather have a compound name any day. also caring about cases seems silly, i dunno. im just here to get cool painted pets and also get too attached to ever trade them anyways. i kind of but not really understood the trading terminology but this lays it all out very succinctly!

I've been following the naming rules from the Master Doc but people still don't seem to like the names I come up with to trade, do you have any more advice for picking good names that most people will like?
My neopets names are named after American Girl dolls characters and monster high doll names
Then a Webkinz pet
I added some random numbers to all their names just because other then afew dolls
Another way to trade, Lost and Pound also know as Lost.Quiggle. There are plenty of wn, vnms, bns, decently named pets that get posted. Sometimes painted, but typically aged pets. Plus these are stuck so it helps
Can you explain the FFQ/premium perk being against the rules that you mentioned at 43:30? I'm confused
I'm surprised compound names dont count, I love compound names. But I guess this is why I'm not into pet trading
I just started playing and I really enjoyed the video I named my pet Lystiea, I’m not sure if it’s good but it sounds pretty and I like it she’s an Aisha I think that’s how you spell it ^^

Do very clever compound real word names trade well? My Oc's aren't but like for example Reivenn instead of Raven is how I intend to spell my middle name so I used that and I imagine that would trade fairly well if I hadn't done a full name on one pet, but if someone named theirs after a thing with no numbers or dashes and a compound of real words would it trade well? Like for example ShadowUsul or PunchBagBob but it's all one word separated by caps? or like a clever reference? I have a "Matches_451" after Farenheight 451 on an Alt and just different things like that. Would that kind of thing add to pet value despite it not being the best tier or not really?
I always have questions about names like I have 2 I'm curious about how they are seen as far a tradeable if I post the names can someone explain it to me

I ADOPTED COCOBABY718 (appears in 10:06 hehe) and she had a sketch color when i collected her? thats why i adopted her, so maybe someone adopted her with that red color and then returned it with the sketch one, crazy how fast she returned to the pound :(

I have absolutely no interest in Neopets but I love watching these videos.
I don't know why people are against underscores. If anything the names with underscores are better than a name that sounds ridiculous but doesn't have underscores.
