Madagascar is an American computer-animated media franchise owned and produced by DreamWorks Animation. The voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer and Jada Pinkett Smith are featured in the films.
King Julien XIII is one of the main characters in the Madagascar franchise. He is the main protagonist of All Hail King Julien, the deuteragonist of The Penguins of Madagascar, and a supporting character in the films. He is the King of the Kingdom of Madagascar, ruling the lemur kingdom since his uncle,King Julien XII abdicated in King Me. In the films, King Julien abdicated his throne to join the Zoosters on their way back to New York when they ended up landing in Africa instead. In The Penguins of Madagascar, he is instead the self-proclaimed king of the Central Park Zoo. He enjoys dancing but does not enjoy it when anyone touches his feet because one time someone stepped on his feet. Maurice is his best friend and Clover is his former bodyguard and former Captain of the Ring-tailed Guard. Despite despising Mort because he feels that Mort is annoying (mainly because he loves to touch his feet), Mort is a member of his royal circle and King Julien has been very protective of Mort when he's in mortal danger.
In this classic Walt Disney animation based on Rudyard Kipling's book, Mowgli, an abandoned child raised by wolves, has his peaceful existence threatened by the return of the man-eating tiger Shere Khan (George Sanders). Facing certain death, Mowgli must overcome his reluctance to leave his wolf family and return to the "man village." King Louie is a minor character in Disney's 1967 animated feature film, The Jungle Book. He is the obstreperous ruler of the Ancient Ruins with an affinity for swing music. Having grown tired of his simian lifestyle, Louie hopes to learn the secret of man's "red flower" to fulfill his dream of becoming a man.

"Baloo balls" made me choke when I first heard it.
But here's a fun easter egg I saw. When Julien says: "You want fire!? I got the first-row seat in my volcano!" his crown changes from his Madagascar Crown to the one he gets in Africa.

Snakebite never fails to impress with his writing and voice acting, jeez. Louie won that imo, but I love Julian's "I live in the big apple, you live off a fruit basket" line.
After I heard Louie's verse I realised this is so unfair matchup. Julien did the best he could and still lost.
King Louie definitely won but King Julien was still fire in my heart.
Boris Johnson vs The Penguin will probably be the next battle unless Travis Scott vs Micheal Scott comes for April Fools.

Personally, I've been really surprised with how one-sided this was. (This is a bit of a paragraph, my apologies.)
For one, I thought most of Louie's insults were pretty inaccurate. Maybe it's just cause I watched the Netflix show, but Maurice genuinely cares about Julien and is upset along with the rest of the royal hire when they think that he died. It's the same for Julien when he thought he would die; his last words were "I love you guys! Oh, I've got more time! Also-". I mean, really, the show shows how shitty the Lemur Kings typically are with 'King Julien The Terrible' and 'Uncle King Julien' being easy examples. Our King Julien the Thirteenth is self-absorbed, but he cares when he's able. Plus "you tried to make a plane wreck fly" rubs me the wrong way, because that plane flew near perfectly until they ran out of fuel. Louie raps harder than he insults, which I admire regardless, but I have to call it a tie myself.
Allow me to reiterate that this is me in particular, and so you're allowed to feel differently, but yeah, I'm just saying this because I can.
@@EpicJosh84 sure but the Netflix show is a prequel, Madagascar 3 shows how Maurice feels about Julien most recently. And sure the plane wreck only crashed because it ran out of fuel but he still tried to make a plane wreck fly
@@bruhmoment8935 You make a fair set of points, but do consider this rebuttal to be in the battle's best interests.
Madagascar 3 was a bizarre movie, and one that plays very inconsistently with the previously established continuity of the franchise. Alex suddenly knows how to swim (not only that, but swim well enough to snorkel from africa to europe), and his parents just kind of stop existing too. I don't think the directors were terribly concerned with preserving each character's motivations. Given that in the series Maurice is shown to have raised King Julien and to care about him despite his flaws, and in the first two movies both tolerates and participates in all of Julien's activities (though he disagrees about Alex, he still sticks around as the kingdom erupts into chaos, and seems genuinely happy with assisting Julien in his colonization of mainland Africa. The Dying Hole scene with Melman is probably my favorite example of this; Maurice has a lot of fun at the right hand of Julien, and to assume that he doesn't care for his king would be a bizarre change of character that only the third movie would be capable of.
Additionally, while you are correct about the plane wreck, that was not exactly my point. Louie paints the situation as though he singlehandedly prevented his temple from collapsing, while Julien tried and failed to fly a plane, which would have been a good comparison to tip the scales in Louie's favor. However, Louie is unsuccessful in preventing the collapse of his temple in both adaptations, and was even crushed in the rubble. King Julien, conversely, successfully made a plane wreck fly, and though it did eventually run out of fuel, Julien just kept smiling and moving forward throughout the movie. Gotta admire his persistence.
@@EpicJosh84 as bizarre as Madagascar 3, you can’t argue that it’s existence is imaginary, it’s the latest we ever see the relationship of Maurice and king Julien.
Yeah I understand your point about the plane but if we’re going to admire Julien’s persistence can we also admire how strong Louie must be to hold up a God knows how many tonnes of stone while also being tickled (because that’s obviously the most major part of it) for over 10 seconds
