How to beat each boss
Globotron- keep dashing
Captain Jelly- only use burst and explode when the boss falls to ground
Frigate Orcan- use rocket only when it's close to the ground for maximum damage
Drillinator- use drill right under the higher power core when Drillinator when it just starts it's spinning attack
Admiral Jelly- when Jelly falls onto the area and the ground is flat, use laser at Jelly's weak point facing straight so laser can bounce back and hit twice
Frigate Skullian- use void when it's doing it's laser attack because void absorbs that and gets bigger
Nega wisp armor- (red burst: go to the far left and lean off the edge) (orange rocket: just walk slowly and avoid the rockets and the dash at the big one) (yellow drill: dash at the drill in the center of the platform) (cyan laser: just jump at the center of the arena and dash at the charging laser) (violet void: go the far right side and dash when the nega wisp armor comes down)
Nega wisp mother: stay from the red fire and stay at the middle when charging at mother wisp so aiming isn't needed when you get there
This brings back some memories... God this game was good, it was kinda funny that the DS version was way more fun then the console ones. Boss fights felt more difrent and the ending seemed more cannon
Fr, they should have added the mother wisp boss to the remaster as a reward for collecting chaos emeralds

@@avspbillz697 I always thought that the star shining in the background (after you get the chaos emeralds) was a secret boss, up until I played the game
Yeah, the DS using the rush formula feels far superior to the Wii version and Ultimate using the modern formula when it comes to fun… except for Frigate Skullian, that fight is such a pain. Mother Wisp being a reward for collecting the chaos emeralds was a great idea too, wish we saw it return in Ultimate
the first boss is literally a completely different robot
I always feel like this is the superior version when it comes to the boss fights. Even when you can easily brush through some of them, they can be a bit hard to pull off without any practice whatsoever.
The best part is that the recurring bosses from the last three worlds have completely different attack patterns than the ones in the console version, and each of them fully utilized all of the Wisp Powers.

Yeah, the wisps being used instead of homing attacking the bosses over and over feels a lot more rewarding. Especially when you use the wisps just right to deal tons of damage, breaking the bosses like twigs.

I gotta agree with you on that one, this game was the perfect version of Sonic Colors, I legit was disappointed when I found out the console version didn’t have the Mother Wisp, as its my favorite secret final boss fight in any video game, since I didn’t even know how to get it, I just got the Chaos Emeralds and hoped to use them in stages, but when I discovered there was a secret final boss, I was invested, and I replayed that boss fight the most
Man, the Sonic DS games were my childhood.
Imagine how awesome it would be if the DS version's cameos were in Ultimate.

@@JabaPlay No, it's not. And I will never get Sonic Colors Ultimate. Not even the Wii one. They suck in my opinion. I still prefer the DS version, because this is the best one for me.

We gotta make a petition to make sega acknowledge this game for a remaster. The touchscreen problems aren’t there since the switch has a touchscreen and you get awesome special stages and even a secret boss from it. Make them see that this isn’t just a port!
When I was a kid playing this for the first time I was afraid of the final boss mainly the voice when it uses a different wisp power just the thought of hearing a evil version of the announcer scary younger me

This DS version of this game takes me back when I first played it when I was a kid. Sonic Colors was my favorite Sonic game. 💙

14:49 Man I remember I would just wait until sonic started started boosting on his own because he would just look cool floating with the wisps then purposely make the boss overwhelm me so it could feel like an epic struggle. Looking back at it kinda cringe but still mad hype
If I remember correctly, my personal best record for frigate orcan is around thirty seconds.
Then again everyone's was on (almost) every boss lol

Wisp are the weak points of the bosses so the only way to make it last is by ignoring the wispd
Fun fact: the DS music for Frigates Orcan & Skullian is also used in Sonic Colors Ultimate.

the intro feels diferent just six wisps but two wisps don't apeer in the wii version the frenzy and the void are actually diferrent frenzy is purple and her shape is a u shape while the void is violet and her shape is a circle they are diferrent while burst is the on the ds version sonic colors and his music is close to spike while in lost world 3ds is his own music

I wish instead of the planet whisp boss fight we got this drill boss fight in ultimate idk. It's probably too much but I hate how the bosses are recycled and mildly different.

Pretty much picked the stubborn way out of that fight, huh? If you kept him going a bit longer, Globatron would have pursued you with multiple punches at once (which get faster if he's in pinch mode).
