Prayer is the key that opens many doors that otherwise cannot be opened. Through prayer, God gives us an opportunity to ask and talk to Him. He knows the outcomes, but He allows us to have choices.

Erm, yes, just like Satan had, the choice, to revisit heaven, or present, his asinine opinions, about how loyal or not, Job was, too?
May I then ask, how, he - a fully premeditated, conscious, traitor, could do this, @mattmoeller1105 ?
Whilst most humans, for just being, descended, from two semi ignorant, Eden, traitors - cannot?
Also, did He know, outcome, of leaving Leviticus 25, around, in any long term way... or, of the Inquisition?

From my experience with prayers. God knows everything, but God tend to act when we humble ourselves and invite him to intervene in our lives. I've had him help me with my illness, career, family issues etc. And looking back, if I did not pray, my life would have been in a complete mess and I probably wouldn't have been alive today. So just pray about everything like the Bible commands. Be blessed!

"I'd like you to do this, but also help me be okay with a no".
I'm trying hard to not see asking to be ok with a no as unbelief because prosperity gospel preachers have made us think faith is the force that makes, (makes) God answer, so if he doesn't answer it's your faith, it's missing tithe, it's cos he's punishing you.... Watch me pray a prayer like Jesus did and they'll probably tell me off because accepting a no to my prayer is not faith.

God would give you what you need regardless if you pray but when you pray and then get your needs met, you are more grateful and loving towards Him and your relationship will grow stronger and you will more likely to be drawn to make decisions out of love for Him (doing the right thing like minister to others instead of selfish self indulging acts).

What our brother Allen did was negate many scriptures including the following two:
Matthew 6:7 But when you pray, do not use vain repetitions, as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
James 5:16 Confess your faults to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.

I remember studying that chapter in Exodus (32) and thinking the same thing, but I knew He is all-knowing and you can't change His mind. What I came up with is He loves us so much that he doesn't mind involving us at times in his plan. It makes us feel good that we can have "sorta" executive decisions in the outcome all though the outcome was already Written or planned. And in Jonah, he knew the people of Nineveh would repent. Obviously, because God is all-knowing. Also, it helps us exercise our faith.
God knew he was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah but he let Abraham (Gen 18) in on what he was going to do. He allowed Abraham to try to "save" this city but he was showing Abraham how wicked that place really was.
And prayers really really work especially if you have the gift of Prayer Intercession you know exactly what I mean. In the book of Daniel 10, you see the angel came to him after his fast and said "I would have been here sooner but I was detained by the prince of Persia" The enemy would try everything in the spiritual realm to not let your prayer go through. SO KEEP PRAYING

There is a difference between a mystery behind God, and a blatant contradiction.
      God hasn't determined everything.
He has, through sovereignty, made the decision for us to make choices. And the choice to pray, that prayer is taken into consideration by God before making a decision.
Prayer is powerful because it's influential. It's influential because God's decisions are based partially in our prayers.

This verse came to mind also: “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14-15). Emphasis on asking "according to His will," His will always being the best outcome...which explains why sometimes our prayers may not be answered the way we want, or even at all, if God knows the answer we want wouldn't be for the best. Great video Allen, I always learn something!

For some victories, we have to prove that we’ll do the right thing when the wrong thing is happening. We have to be good to people that are not being good to us. We have to stay in faith when it’s not fair, when it’s taking longer than it should, when it doesn’t look like it’s ever going to work out. How bad do you want what God promised? If you give up easily, you don’t want it bad enough. If you let people discourage you, bad breaks talk you out of it, delays cause you to quit believing, then it’s going to keep you from God’s best.

My understanding of this is that God has determined every consequence of every action we take. So He knows that if you deny Him, you will be in hell. Same that if you believe in Him, you will be in heaven. This is also where free will comes in to play. He allows us to make choices. He has already determined the outcome based on our choice and knows our hearts when we make said choice (aka the chances of us going back on our choice if the decision was already weakly/strongly made).
It’s kind of like when you know someone will go back to smoking after they quit, because they weakly choose to quit every weekend. Except on an entirely different level.
So that’s why we should still pray. God knows and has predetermined the consequences if we don’t trust in Him, but He still allows us to make the choice. That, I believe, is why He’s saddened by our choices. He knows what greatness He has set apart for us if we had just made the right choices. But He’s also a just God, so if we make poor choices we will experience the consequences.

I heard the same question answered by the late RC Sproul in his usual combined theological and philosophical approach but you, Allen Parr, handled the question well and gave the appropriate Scriptures and examples that would buttress the point and answer the question with a biblical answer that - God does not change His mind or repent over something simply because He is God, nothing surprises Him.
All information are known to Him, so that even though at first reading, Moses, Elijah or Hezekiah seems to have triggered God with their prayers to "change "His mind - actually God never changed His mind because He knew they would pray to Him and nothing they prayed for surprised Him at all! Thanks for this enlightening answer to a difficult question, all glory to God🙏

Who are the FOLLOWERS of the ANTI-CHRISTS?
      ANSWER -
All Jehovah's Witnesses, SDAs, Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, Born Again Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and members of all kinds of RELIGIONS in the world who
believe and preach the false teachings and doctrines of their Pastors and Leaders about "Armageddon", "immortality of the souls", "Trinity", "rapture", and "reincarnation" in opposition and rejection of what were written in the Bible,
      in Matthew 28: 18, Luke 4: 43, and John 11: 25, 26.

Who are the FOLLOWERS of JESUS CHRIST?
      ANSWER -
All persons on earth who honor and obey Jesus Christ as their Heavenly Master and King and believe his teachings about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" in submission and obedience to what were written in Matthew 28: 18, Luke 4: 43, and John 11: 25, 26.
What is the Creator's favor and reward for followers of Jesus Christ?
      ANSWER -
Eternal Life and existence without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death on a safe, secure, and peaceful earth without liars, immoral and perverts, traitors, and murderers as written in Revelation 21: 3, 4, 8.
How will followers of Jesus Christ live and exist on earth eternally if they just die and turn into worthless and useless dusts on earth?
      ANSWER -
All human beings have no immortal souls and will just become worthless and useless dusts on earth after their deaths just like the animals as written in Ecclesiastes 3: 19, 20 and 9: 5, 6
      but
all followers of Jesus Christ and worshippers of the Creator
who died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Job, Naomi, Ruth, King David, Mary, Martha, Lazarus, and many others will not remain as worthless dusts forever,
instead, in the right and proper time and as written in John 11: 25, 26,
Jesus Christ will resurrect them back to life so they can all happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever as submissive and obedient subjects of the
      "KINGDOM of GOD"
and fully enjoy his and the Creator's eternal love, kindness, goodness, compassions, generosities, favors, and blessings for eternity under his loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection as the Creator's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth as written in Revelation 11: 15.

God NEVER changes His mind, nor does He repent as man does because He can’t. For that to happen, it would mean He is not God. God’s divine, moral character and nature never changes; however, God can relent (or soften His response) when people heed His warnings, repent and change their minds about sin by turning from it and turning to Him. I thank God for your easy to understand teachings. They have blessed me so much! God bless you.

Our Prayers do not change God's mind, for God is Sovereign and man is not, our Prayers align us with God's Will! God changes our Mind through Prayer! not the other way around, it is God that changes us! from Sin to Repentance, from Death to Life, from Hatred to Love, by drawing us to the feet of Christ. God changes us.

God knows and has predetermined His actions. We are the ones who don’t know anything either way. Do right, be merciful, and be humble. The more I look at the Lord’s Prayer, the more I see God’s sovereignty at work. The whole prayer centers around us trusting God to do His will and obeying God as He reveals His will. So prayer is an act of trust and obedience. He has predetermined to answer every prayer with a yes if it is according to His will. He has also predetermined to say no to those things that are not His will. Some answers are yes, but not yet. But that waiting is good for us. It stretches our faith and allows us to grow. It is because I know He holds the future that I cry out to God when I don’t understand.

Appreciate the video! I have always looked at prayer and God’s “mind-changing” as perspective. Just like in physics, if I am traveling in an airplane and look down at the cars, they appear to be driving very slow because of my perspective. If I am standing right next to the highway though, the cars appear to be going very fast.
From our perspective, God changes his mind. From our perspective, God answers prayer. From God’s perspective, he is all-knowing, and does not change his mind. But we are here, living life from a human perspective, not God’s perspective.
Compare to the previous analogy, if I was standing next to the highway, but tried to view the cars from the perspective of the airplane and I walked into traffic, I would probably get hit by a car and die. It is for my own good and safety to look at the world, including God, from the current perspective that I am experiencing.
Praise God that He is in control and we get to have a relationship with Him!!

Good Word..Good Content… Thank you so much Brother Allen…You did a great job explaining and backing up scripture about prayer. As I watched I prayed to God to show me the understanding of the question posed and how does He (GOD) feel about it. As I sat two or more important scriptures came to me. 1) Genesis 2:16,17 where God told Adam not the eat from tree of knowledge of good and evil do not eat from it for if you do eat from it …you will die. What I found interesting was that God did not tell Adam why you shouldn’t eat from it God told Adam the results from eating from this particular tree. Remember also, the prayer time or fellowship with Father God and Adam was no longer in the cool of he day with personal relationship with Father God.. We now through Jesus Christ can have fellowship in the cool of the day and All Night…😊🙌
Adam was supposed to accept what God said without questioning…Why?? Because God knows best.. He is a Good Good Father. As You stated in your message Brother Allen God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts.. we will NEVER “know” The Mind of God because then He would not be God. He owed NO One an explanation… we have to be content Knowing That he instructs us to pray all throughout HIS Word.. he commands that for fellowship. I may not have an understanding why an All Knowing God would command us to pray when he knows the end results of the prayer. Also don’t forget Jesus died on the cross for us to have access to Our Heavenly Father..by the veil was rent in two so that we can now boldly petition the very throne of God
to tell him ALL our concerns and secrets… what a PRIVILEGE!! Hallelujah!!👏👏👏👏Thank You Jesus. So I agree with Brother Allen that this question can be difficult to explain so .. I did the best to explain like Brother Allen. I would like to pose a different aspect of this question: Instead of the question why pray… I ask why NOT pray(talk) with The God of Heaven and Earth… You mean I have access to The One and True Living God just through prayer… Wow….That’s PRICELESS 😊👏🙌👍🫡🙏👊

The lord's prayer really sums up what we are asking for, and yes people prayed all through the bible. What are we praying for if God can't be pursuaded and what do we need if he gives us our daily bread 🤔. He knows our name because we serve him and he has plotted out our future and purpose before we where born ( Esau/ Jacob etc.) . So we know we gotta pray but what are we praying for 🤔

I really appreciate your explanations. I appreciate your study, dedication, knowledge of the Bible, theology and God. The only 'but' I have is to add from my own experience.
God wants us to pray; in doing so 'we' learn more about ourselves and God's plan. I'm in my eighth decade and could list all sorts of things, but I'm sure most Christians have realized this and those who haven't, will.
In your initial example, Moses came to grips with who he was and his own loyalties. They were already there, and Moses had to grasp and own it. The Lord already knew it and wanted Moses to get it, which is one of the reasons He didn't drop the information on the Nation itself.
I like your use of the original and sometimes secondary meaning of words in Hebrew. According to Strong's Bible dictionary, the word translated 'repent' also means 'to comfort oneself, ease oneself" which makes more sense in context than 'change one's mind'.
Also, the text of the original revelations and statements of God are made with the limited information of the people at the time. He used phraseology they understood.

University studies have repeatedly shown that praying has no more outcome on events than random chance and in some cases can have a slightly negative outcome. Like praying for someone to get well and they don't and they start to think their god doesn't want them to get well and their condition worsens.
