The biggest compliment to this kid is that as much as he is one of the most direct wingers,9 times out of 10 he still keeps the ball. Same to martinelli. Arteta really made some gems
He uses his body so well which is what makes him so good at taking on players. Compare him to a player like Antony for example, a player who on paper has more acceleration and is a bit more flashy, yet still doesn't have the ability to take on players like Saka. This kid's intelligence is on another level, he almost always makes the correct decision in attacks. We are so lucky to have this player at our club.

I agree he is an intelligent player. But he is not skillful enough. You rarely actually see him dribble through/dribble past defenders. After his dribbling, his marker is still not shaken far off him.
Real dribbling would trick your opponent falling into the completely wrong direction. Not just a slight change of direction then accelerate.

Saka dribble is one of the best. That’s why many teams put 2 players to guard him every time he have the ball on the right side. That’s minimum of 2 players, sometimes 4 people guarding him . Shows how dangerous he is with the ball. One vs one, guarantee he will pass easily

Sakas strength , balance and technique is criminally underrated in fact it's a felony he is not as rapid as Antony or martinelli but these qualities more than make up for it though he has very good acceleration ,still penchester united fans will have Antony over him sakas is way less flashy than him but a million times more efficient than Antony and you will see that with the number if take ons and completed dribbles you can't mark Saka or take the ball off him without commiting a foul he's just a proper baller happy to have you at the arsenal hope to keep you for the next decade .COYG.

He is quick, but not rapid. His balance, strength and technique more than make up for it.

Saka has never overhit a penalty.
He's scored 3/4 of his professional penalties.
His first professional penalty happen to be the 5th & decisive penalty in a Euro final, him taking a must score, 5th penalty in a Euro final as a 19 year old, having played less then 15 games for England.
Why that was the case made no sense when Sterling whose taken penalties before for club & country wasn't among the first 5 takers. Sterling has scored a shootout winning penalty before for Man City to win the Cup v Chelsea.
Grealish also wasn't among the 5, even though he's taken penalty before.
Both were 6th & 7th on penalties.
Jordan Henderson another player who got subbed out to avoid taking a penalty, Henderson missed his in 2018 World Cup so made sure not to take it. Henderson came off the bench and got subbed off just before the penalties.
That's 3 senior players who weren't taking penalties ahead of the younger guys.

A dribble is when you take on and beat a player with the ball.
There's dribbling and ball carrying.
Saka is great in both but a much better ball carrier.
Some good dribblers aren't great ball carriers.
Saka isn't the most creative with his dribbling but is very effective and he does it consistently against every team and has given some of the best fullbacks hell.
Some wingers pick and choose in favourable matchups when they want to try beat players.
Saka has got a low center of gravity, quick feet, great balance and strength. That's why even when ball gets stuck at his feet when 2 players are on him he can still quickly shuffle and wriggle out with the ball still at his feet.

Look at Martinelli he like Saka used to put his head done dribble a couple of defenders shoot or get the balling taken away from him but now , Martinelli learned how to control both dribbling and passing. If Saka does the same he will become unstoppable
