I loved this movie simply cus the powers and them not trying to be hero’s, I feel like this could have been a way better movie than what was put out

I hope this movie gets more recognition it has been one of my all time favorite movies! Personally, I love the "vlog" type movies a lot, if any1 wants a similar movie to Chronicle, try out Project Almanac!

I loved this movie. Watched it half a dozen times at least. Edit: Now that I think about it, I always wondered if they should have done a part two. It felt pretty certain that the government had taken the alien object, and closed the sink hole up in the movie. they don't show it in the recap well, but the government had the place on lock down like they had already detected something was there, or maybe had already noted a ufo crash or something. Matt promises in the end to find the answers about the alien object/maybe life-form, that gave them powers. If the government had it, there was no way they weren't going to start making super powered soldiers in secret. Now I really want to see a sequel movie.

The film about high school seniors who acquire telekinetic powers (Dane DeHaan, Michael B. I'd see how far it can go. In the movie it's said that the more they use telekinesis the stronger it gets, is there a definable upper limit or would it get to a point where you can move planets and shatter stars?
2ndly would be just thinking from a physics point of view, agitate the air by vibrating it for fire, slow it down for ice and perhaps control lightning and light through sheer dexterity of telekinetics.

I've thought about this before too. Telekinesis could potentially be one of the most versatile super powers. Manipulating matter at the molecular, or atomic level, maybe even smaller. Breaking things is easy, but depending on your knowledge of molecular structures, you could restore things by rearranging and replacing molecules, or even heal injuries. Just replace and restore damaged tissue on the molecular/cellular scale. Weather control. Hell, maybe even bending space, at which point you could be a human warp drive.

Seeing as my life currently, isn’t so eventful, and that I want to make people happy, I’d use the power of telekinesis to make a difference as my own super hero.
It would be nice and comforting for most people on earth to know there’s somebody out there that atleast exists, who truly wants to help the world in more ways than just money.

I like it. I would help capture frightened, sick, and injured animals so that they could get treatment, or be rescued. Ideally I would also be able to heal as well.
Being honest most villains or people that abuse their superhuman abilities are those that grow up in harsh loveless environments. Why do you think every villain has a “tragic” backstory. It’s a true hero who experiences suffering and the cruelty of the human race and still wants to help them.

This was my favorite movie at 15-17 years old and even now , because I can relate so much to Andrew. I didn’t have that many friends and I went about my life being ignored and ridiculed, I wished for superpowers or status just like Superman.
It sent me down a rabbit hole of self improvement, lifting weights , meditation and I got really big in terms of physical structure and also gained psychological freedom. Sometimes I feel like a superhero if you ask me

Unless you have a body of steel, no pain, no damage, then yea anyone would try to fly, but since they still have vunerable bodies its a deathsentence to try fly in the sky
I watched the movie they got stronger with the ability and they had their own force fields like magneto :D
Their abilities only grow stronger all three of them actually grow to have an innate field around themselves. They test it by stabbing a fork into eachothers hands by the fork is repelled and broken.
In the movie it's explained that so long as they know, even on a subconscious level, that they're about to be hurt, they have a sort of force field that protects them at the moment they would be harmed. Steve got hit by a commercial jet. That should have splattered him, but his forcefield protected him, but the spinning and falling afterwards where he was basically stunned and in a spiral, would have been a pretty deadly landing. Also the power is constantly getting stronger with use, so for instance, Matt by the very end of the movie (which looked like enough time had passed for his injuries to heal), could probably face tank a 747 and not get knocked out, sent spinning, and more likely would just dodge the plain, or push it out of his way. End of the movie, that fight scene between him and Andrew had them putting each other through buildings like two kryptonians were going at it. Squishy bodies would have been splattered instantly. Only reason Matt was even able to kill Andrew in the end, was because Andrew was looking in a different direction and Matt used that opening to spear him with the statue.

1:31, I used to have this problem in High School, every thing i did was annoying to my classmates, didn´t matter what was, but, when another classmate did the exact same thing they would just laugth it off or call it "cool". I would complain about this, but nobody gave an answer, lit it was what it was.

Honestly it seems weird that andrew became so mean, but when you get pushed down for so long and suddenly you find yourself with some real power you almost feel compelled to do the same thing to other people. This is a survival mechanism to eliminate threats. Some people deserve that, but the human brain can also label people who had nothing to do with your pain apart of the problem.
I would love to fly around, but also hide my powers until I figure out everything I could do. Then I might just be like Superman. It’s always been my dream to be a superhero. I’ve never really thought to be a villain. Even though their lives are tragic Elise either opportunity to get anything they want without responsibility, I just wanna protect

honestly i thnk this film deserves a sequel, would be funny to see that there was not one meteor but multiple of them in other planet locations creating different effects on people
yah, would love to see a sequel too. Sucks that they just announced that there "wont" be a second movie. And having other powered people and other meteors probably wouldnt make a great movie considering it feels a little too repetitive to other movies and just kinda copies them, Personally I would like a story showing a little of Matt's POV of the first movie and then shifting towards his life now with his trauma, grief, and how he lives with the powers. (and obviously some cool action sequences lol)

Loved this movie, but I remember tripping balls as I was watching it since it was shot at my previous high school a year after I had graduated. I remember seeing so many locations that I swore I knew and my friend was like naah that’s not possible. Then even ended up seeing faces of the people I knew who were in lower grades than me as the extras. One trippy experience lol.

Yo i watched this movie it was crazy
Me days 1-10 or so would just be playing around and getting a feel with it 11-30ish would be pure training to get as powerful as possible in that time then days 31-60 I'd be doing your classic heroic stuff help the people that sorta thing then about 65-80 I'd be going around the world and taking care of problems killing dictators, natural disastors, stopping wars that kind of stuff.
