I like how these guys weren’t pushy and they were on a side street. Some of those Indian suit tailor’s are relentless, they won’t leave you alone! I realize it’s a good deal for these suits, but trying on a suit in that warm humidity is the last thing I wanna do! 🔥
Yeah thats why i choose these guys after reading the google reviews, BKK is full of suit cowboys you just have to do the homework. It's way to hot man i 100% agree, unless you work in aircon all day and don't leave lol
You look great, suit looks fantastic. I also love the professionalism and efficiency of Jay and Dave's business. I had a couple suits made in Pattaya a few years ago, and they're the best suits I've ever owned.

I had a suit made in Sukhumvit Road about 8 years ago. It was less than £150 UK.

Just an FYI, that pattern for the lining is called Herringbone. I prefer herringbone for shits and pure silk for my linings.

A black woollen suit is just what you need in Thailand.
I usually get mine from a place in Nana where staff, VIPs included, from the various embassies go. price is similar. And they throw in a beer.

Jonny - I'm a little confused. I know that there are not as many suit shops in Hua Hin as there previously was, but why are you getting a suit made in BKK rather than HH - where they could take more time to make the suit?

Maybe it was the camera angle or lighting, but the arms on the suit just looked a bit too baggy. If I'm wrong, then yeah, mighty fine suit.

Come on Johnny those shops are just a sales front and they all farm out their work to sweatshops
The price is right, and it was done quickly. But it is definitely not Bangkok's best tailor. At one of those you're looking at at least 4-5x what you paid and 30 days to make the suit across three fittings. That's using top Italian or British fabrics and a ton of handwork. You got a decent suit for what you paid for it, but the video's title is click-baity.

A bag of fruit and beer.. how good is Thai.. fkn gold ❤.. i went to a wedding in khon Kaen and it was a cowboy themed wedding.. so go to Phuket central and try shopping lol I’m 6.2 and 110 😂i managed to find a pair of stretch pants and a flano shirt but couldn’t button it up and a hat.. get to the wedding my friend is marrying a famous surgeon.. 2nd wedding event? .. I’ve rocked up like a cowboy and everyone else is in suits 😂.. the cowboy thing was just a selfie thing hahaha but the husband barred everyone else to take the first pics with me… haha ❤

Hello Jonny, I think you paid to much for that suit. In 2016 I paid $80 for one suit. So I got 4 done for $320 Australian.
Hey buddy alot has changed since 2016 lol. It all depends on the fabric, style and most def good or bad tailor. But you seem happy you got a bargain :-)
Never seen jonny haggle 2much, every time i have been shopping for a suit, they start with a crazy price and get it down alot. Only been to places in pattaya, but i think guys in shop are only sellers, most shops uses same thai-tailors
👍 great quality fabric going for cashmere/wool. On the beer front do they still make Singha Gold. It had a black label as opposed to regular Singha with a white label.
@@maskedgunner8731 While cashmere is a beautifully soft fabric, it’s not always a good option for a suit. The durability isn’t that great with this fabric for wearing. But if you have a good rotation of suits in the wardrobe, giving cashmere a shot isn’t bad. Just recommend getting a cashmere blend with merino or any other wool to give it durability.
I don’t think it’s such a bad price being I can’t tell if it’s fused or half-canvas. If it’s half-canvas and using a decent fabric from an actual mill, not a bad price for Thailand. If it’s a fused and using a no name brand, yeah spending a bit much.
