The cost of the suit really boils down to material. Cashmere wool is a nice blend. I think usually 2nd tier of the 4 or 5 most shops present. A tailor gave me a a tip once to get a floral pattern lining… in a pinch, the lining in the chest pocket can be popped out to add a little flair, and the floral pattern will match most ties. Also get sleeves which can be unbottoned for the bespoke aspect. I like to get fitted every other trip… the tailor shop can make fitted shirts from file within a year. Great video of the process. Three days is super fast.
I have to state that once I took a sample tailor's cheapest and most expensive material. Two squares, two different colors. I then took those materials and went to different tailors and asked "Tell me, which material is quality and which is cheap."
Not one tailor took my challenge. I believe that when a tailor says, 'Dis duh most expensive quality on dun Ewrth, can't you feel thu quality difference' that it is only an upsell. In other words, there is no difference.
What a small world! I crossed with you inside the store while I was getting my suit customized. I left and after a second later I returned to asked something that I forgot to ask to David and you even said to me “Thanks to come back” Remember? Then today a opened my youtube and your video pop up on my feed. I recognized right the way!!! Ps I subscribed your channel before I went to Bangkok …

Thank you for your video and for your recommendation Live Love Thailand. Fortunately for us, I stumbled upon your video recommending Galaxy Tailor Bangkok while searching online for solutions to this problematic situation. We decided to book a hotel nearby their location in order to make use of their exceptional services during our stay in Thailand's capital city., The tailors at Galaxy Tailor Bangkok truly are top-notch professionals; not only did they complete both my husband's suit and shirts and an extra pants within just three days (which was quite impressive given how well-made each item turned out), but they also kindly offered delivery straight to our resort located (Koh Samui)conveniently near where the wedding celebrations were set take place - talk about excellent customer service! Thank you Galaxy Tailor Bangkok.
It is fairly common to find tailors in the Sukhumvit area - mostly from Indian descent . However many of the shops are owned by one family and use the same tailor who has a workshop nearby. The prices are much lower in non tourist areas.

I had 3 suits made in Bangkok at a Taylor’s near Asok they are still great today 8 years later

I'm very familiar with that shop. L always stay in the area of Soi 18. Three hundred dollars for a tailored suit is a great price. And I dig the custom inner lining! Also you have choices! And your name on the suit and shirt! It's worth it just to have one made.

There are 100s of taylors in Thailand, Galaxy or 🚫 not😮. Way less than 300 bucks. I used to live there myself. Negotiating a price is reasonable believe me. But all good you got a nice suit nevertheless, i just think 300 bucks is too steep only for that country. Obviously if it was the USA different 👍

The issue is the Dry Cleaning after the Suit/Dress has to be cleaned. There are so many poor quality dry cleaners that will destroy your lovely Suit/Dress. It is like your hair-cut and a poor Barber
