What I truly loved about this game is how was Viper at the start of the game looking tired and in not very good mood, but then getting really cheered up at the end.

DE coupled with just generally more exposure for the game has led to a quite significant increase in the quality of mid level play in particular. Ladder helps with this as back in the day people mostly played with people they knew so they never got any better now you see exactly what the people who are just a bit better than you can do and that massively helps people to improve.
not just that- but, the skill cap has dropped (addition of auto scouting/shift queuing ,etc)
@@kashishverma7575 I don't think the changes have greatly changed the landscape for the people I was talking about. Shift click maybe makes a small and significant difference to idle time (but honestly it's not that much for people following build orders) and auto-scout is, if anything a detriment above about maybe 1100 elo. I think Servers and lower general levels of lag have opened up the game to people who live outside of Europe, China and the US and a lot of people are just playing more games which means they get better at the mechanical skills like split micro, taking good fights with melee units etc. I'm talking about the top 30% of player (1200-1700) who aren't reliable in displaying these skills but who can do so reliably enough that they can access the strategy element of the game.

@@varundhapade I typically skip the beginning because it's mostly the same build orders over and over again. Unless there's a weird trush/drush etc, I skip that part. :)

Crazy game. This was the most fun game I've watched for quite a while; from snek's tiredness at the beginning to going into double market and losing his starting TC, not getting any conversions in time but winning with 13 vils at the end at 50 minutes. A clusterfuck of a game and I loved it.

Blue took his foot off the gas and lost the game. Viper's raid wasn't even too hard to deflect but he just flopped like a fished and waited to die. That might be the difference between 1.7k and 2k.
As someone who gets flustered and makes mostly mistakes once the pressure gets turned on: if he had made 3 knights at a time to take out the skirm raids, would he have been fine?

@@FatLittleButterfly there weren't monks in his base at first during the raid
1 or 2 knights would have easily cleaned it up. His biggest mistake was he seemed to have forgotten armor for the knights

Makes me sad to see that Viper is so down at the moment. You can see it in his facial expression that he's not really loving the game at the moment. But he can't take a break because that will make him lose spots in tournaments, and the tournaments are the reason why he's so down. Tournaments needs to be bigger, with more players and less chances for the top 5 to face off in Last 16 or quarter finals.

He can take a break without losing spots man... I'm afraid you don't know how ladder and tourneys work. He could easily take 4 months off and still be placed on tournaments.

Probably where he lost it. Both the Samurai and the galleys were being beaten by the skirmishers. But Viper might have made halberdiers if hussars came.
