      I just got a late 2015 looks just like the one in the video with styling , with the red leather and 19 inch amg wheels. fully loaded except its not 4matic. i think sticker was 58k about, i got it used with 18k miles with 2 mores years of bumper to bumper warranty for 36k. there was a silver one without the sunroof or driver assists and no air suspension for only 30k. (20k miles on that one)

    bought one last month for my wife. it's a beautiful car. handles very well and is quite peppy with the 4 cylinder. very nice ride -- not quite as smooth as my e-class but very nice none-the-less. interior is gorgeous. two quibbles: 1. the keyless start/off feature makes putting the key away somewhere awkward; because you want the key to lock the car as you leave. you can open the lid on the console but that's a nuisance. 2. the eco-stop feature which turns the engine off when you're at a stop (ostensibly to save on fuel -- with a 4 cylinder??) and then starts the car as you release the brake is quite a bit of a nuisance as well. you can program it to be off but it seems to always come on first thing and I have had to manually push the button on the console to deactivate it. apparently, opening the door or unlatching your seatbelt will reactivate it again. dumb.

    To come back to that spare tire thing:
    You only do not get one if you have run flat tires, which allow you to drive 100km at least with a flat tire. The computer will tell you that you lost air compression and that you have to drive to a workshop soon. So as a matter of fact, you have a more convenient and durable solution and save weight of carrying a 30kg wheel with you which uses more fuel and lowers performance.
    To the German/American story. the cars are almost the same only slightly adapted to the market they are being sold in. They are assembled in the USA but the engineering, the processing and developing is done in Germany. You have that with all manufacturers these days. Take an X5, most of them are being produced in the USA. Internationalization does not stop at the borders of Germany, friends :)

    I purchased my 2015 C300 sport 4matic in 2018 as a certified preowned car. However, in the last year and with only 65k miles on it, the car is very sluggish in C mode and even in S mode. I took to dealership and they said everything is normal. I hate that i have to floor the pedal to get some good acceleration and even flooring the gas lacks adequate pickup.

      Luis Magana I have had this car for four months and 3500 miles... I got the c300 4matic with the distronic plus package and lighting package. It is more than a treat to drive it. I actually prefer to drive it over my 2014 bmw 535i. It handles very well and the ride quality is very nice. It is simply a comfortable car to be in. The only things I have found wrong with it is that it doesn't have an auxiliary cord, which is surprising nonetheless. It does have Bluetooth and two USB inputs so that's fine. One time I was driving (this happened recently), the infotainment system got screwed up. When I would hit the speak button to change the song I was listening to, it showed quotation marks and the screen was stuck on that page for maybe 5 minutes when it went back to normal. I do not know what that was all about. One last thing that I found was that when you are in sport +, the it shifts the gears very loudly and a little choppily.

    • @oxysz
      @oxysz Před 7 lety +5

      i agree the sport plus is a little choppy with the gear shifts. im mostly ride in comfort mode unless i want to drive fast. but even in comfort the car is surprisingly fast. sounds like i have about the same car you have. the adaptive cruise is amazing honestly. like you said it is simply a comfortable car. i came from a older car with no options at all (not a benz) and driving this is a dream. the wipers work themselves, when you drive at night the brights go on and off by them selves when a vehicle is coming. and it stays in the lane and stays at the right speed, it basically drives itself lol. i love it. i live in northern MN so the roads are bad and there is alot of deer you can risk hitting, so my next car i want is the new e class with that amazing lighting package and the night vision option. that would be amazing with deer and things at night.

      @@kingwilliams3785 absolutely lovely car! Issues I’ve had in the 40,000 miles and 2 years of ownership on my early 2015: P205e engine code (oil filtration separator, not essential to fix from what I’ve heard in community - so haven’t), set off Pre-safe system on a dirt rode doing some more ‘spirited’ driving, which cause my sunroof to get jammed and not close on one side. That was most costly repair, around $2500, door handle exterior lights tend to fail in about a year (gave up on getting them fixed but did it twice under remaining warranty), steering column was making a strange squeak but also got that replaced under remaining warranty at dealership. I was surprised but glad that they went for a whole new steering column under warranty. Final issue was A/C system vent actuator that began clicking (replaced under warranty period). Oh, and it sounds like my front ball joint needs greasing or replacement. Tires do go fairly quick on this car, so expect only 25k miles per set, I’ve had good luck buying very slightly used tires on Facebook market place in my city so hasn’t been all that expensive.
      Decent bit of small issues in the time that I’ve owned it, if you have $6k extra for repairs lying around you could skip the warranty, but I was sure glad to have 10k miles of warranty when I got my car to get all of the kinks ironed out. Most of these issues I would say stemmed from my aggressive driving behavior and potentially expedited by my AMR stage 1 tune (love it). I also drive on very rough Colorado roads most of the time- even took this car on the Moab section of Kokopelli trail haha. Overall, the car was very worth it and I couldn’t recommend it enough for driving style, appearance, customizability, and interior quality. The car has never let me down.

      I have. Many times. Please show me anywhere that shows you can get cranberry red in MB-tex (which is their synthetic leather). I'm telling you, cranberry red is only offered in real leather. You must get the interior package which comes with leather upholstery when selecting cranberry red. Your stubbornness can't change that.

    Yes, this car is a very solid design in Merdedes' idiom. However, I'm not sure if I would shell out close to 60 grand on a "German" car that's built in USA. Maybe it's just me, but I want my German car to be made in Germany. No knock on the good folks in Alabama, but it's more of a matter of principle. A German car that's not built in Germany is not a true German car to me

    • @swunt10
      @swunt10 Před 9 lety +1

      don't worry, they ship the car over to the US in a few pieces and robots and a couple of dudes screw them back together and mercedes saves on import taxes and customs. it's not like they "build" the car in alabama. that's like saying ikea is homemade.

    • @seekthetruths22
      @seekthetruths22 Před 9 lety +1

      swunt10 Worried? Who? Me? LOL!!! Hey, look. I think you're really discrediting all the hard work from the folks working for Mercedes factory in Alabama with what you said. But the truth is these cars ARE fully assembled in that factory with a considerable amount of North American manufactured components. I personally do not believe the cars that are manufactured here and over there in Germany are the exact carbon copies of one another, contrary to what MBZ would wants you to believe. My preference would definitely be the German manufactured one simply because that's where these cars have been conceived and put together. Plain and simple, just like I would prefer an apple pie cooked in my mom's kichen in the good ole US of A.

    • @tax905972
      @tax905972 Před 9 lety

      Where do you think 99% of the cars on the road are made? Their made in middle America . It's not the workers that make bad cars it's the designers that's the problem. The 2010 C300 I owned was made in south Africa. My ML'S MADE IN THE USA e-CLASS WAS MADE IN Germany .Tooling and car design is all German.

      Mr Sausage it’s all relative. The average price people pay for a new car is $34,000 here. Generally we get vehicles cheaper than other parts of the world, so most people consider anything above 50k to be a big investment. With that said, plenty of people are happy to buy them. In Colorado, fully loaded Mercedes, Escalades, Range Rovers, Audi’s and BMWs are the norm.
