Jonnie, your wonderful children will never forget you! You are everything to them in the Here and Now and you will always be in their lives, contributing to the men they grow up to become. Their sweet mother, the love of your life, is at your side. Some things may appear to change but love never stops. Love deepens, matures, and surpasses all understanding. I'm so thankful for the Dabl channel here in America and for the Escape to the Country shows that introduced you to so many more friends AND introduced us to your irrepressible personality! God blesses each of us that have come to know about you and some of the facets that make you, YOU. With the amount of money and research that still goes into curing cancer, it’s so sad that still for so many it’s incurable. Such a gorgeous family losing a dd and husband far too soon. My heart goes out to them 💕
Much of the money goes to pay CEOs and directors. I’m in remission and will not give CRUK a penny every again

I can remember that the cancer charity being very clear in my mind when I was a teenager & that is many years ago & to me the progress has been painfully slow & that can only be down to funds that were raised have gone into people's pockets & I find that utterly disgusting !.....the corruption in charities is criminal !

@@clairenicol6924 The problem is that it happens in a LOT of charities. I had a friend who's husband was a charity CEO. He lost his job and she was moaning about the loss of income. Now I am a divorced parent who does not work because my son has autism. Her husband went on to get a job at the the Roald Dahl charity and was paid £100k per year and this was back around 2009. Despite knowing plenty of seriously ill children [I used to work in research], I had NEVER heard of this charity. It just amazed me that they paid so much salary and it frankly beggared belief that she would complain about him losing a job when I was actually managing on less than £12K a year myself.
Such a great guy. Proof if ever you needed it, life is unfair.
And yet humans choose to keep breeding.

I’m sorry to hear this, I’m a mum to a 30 year old with metastatic lung cancer, he had his whole life ahead of him with his wife and children but that has been ripped apart, life is so cruel for some. 😢

I was 51 with grown children and a job , BUT, as you say you chose your life partner and it's totally unfair it's not working out that way.
You will (I'm sure you know) go through every emotion under the sun. All you can do is, be as upbeat as possible when the kids are around and then cry and rant when they're not. No way of grieving is the right way, you do what you feel is right for you.

My sister lost her husband to cancer he was 38, they had two girls 7 and 10. She was bereft at the time, for a long time, it happened a year and one day after we had lost our Mum to cancer too. Family were there to support them throughout. Time softened the pain and 7 years later she remarried. She is settled into a new life, but we still mention her late husband he is not forgotten. ❤

I've loved watching Johny for years , the happiness he brought through, he's personality on escape and a place in the sun . Watching this made me cry , a grown man . He's a huge celebrity in my opinion with a big big heart , and we are all here fighting this with him and for him .

Sadly you have lost your battle with this despicable disease. I watched you many times on tv and you were always so informative. I also lost my mum to cancer in January 2016. I watched her just waste before my eyes. You fought a hard battle young man but now you are free of pain and can now look over your lovely wife and amazing children. RIP young man.

My heart is breaking; I just read about Jonnie's health. Jonnie seems such a kind and beautiful soul, like the ones we need more in this world. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jonnie Irwin and his beautiful family, wishing them strength and lots of love. The word cancer makes me super angry. I lost a sister to metastatic colon cancer in 2003 when she was only 38, so I've seen and understand the devastation and pain. Jonnie is an excellent presenter in one of my favorite TV shows, Escape to the Country, which I often watch in Colorado, United States.
Absolutely loved Johnny on Escape to the Country. He was my favorite presenter and how he embraced life. And his chipper way of interacting the people on the program. 😢

Don’t give up Jonnie, there are others out there who may be able to help you, and I don’t mean whacky people withe mad ideas. Do some research, or get someone to help you do that and give it some thought. You’re an amazing man and this is the garbage that life throws at you. At least investigate a different approach, it may help. Best wishes to you and your family.
I lost my hubby and dad to my 3 kids we was 38yrs old in 2009
I'm still angry at the utter devastation his stomach cancer caused I am now 52 and the loss has consumed my whole life I now grieve for what we never got to experience now our kids buying their 1st new build homes and much more
We had lots of memory boxes and books and they was included in everything love and respect to you x all x

The word terminal is so chilling when given this information at such a young age. I can't imagine what you go through in the small hours when you can'tsleep. I'm 75 and know my time here is drawing to a close, but this is desperately cruel. It's springtime now, so I really hope you are able to drink in the beauty of it. Lost my wife to pancreatic cancer at 49 in 2020 💔😞...she told it just how i feel now ..a widower single parent . Every thing falls at your feet and no one to share life's troubles with ..i clapped for NHS yet i feel angry at as we were given hope and promises but told at the end they were being just kind ..she was told oh its acid reflux its your hernia etc ..you know your body ..doctors just please listen ..
I'm so sorry you're going through this, I went through it with my father. You were a brilliant presenter and you're a brilliant father. I know how hard it is having all those talks with each other and the heartbreak but continue to spend as much time as possible with each other. Those memories will last forever ❤
