I ordered the 2023 AWD Rogue Platinum for my wife. I have the 2022 4WD Pathfinder Platinum. The Rogue and Pathfinder share the nearly identical computer screens and digital systems. The menus and features are nearly identical. The new Rogue is like a smaller Pathfinder minus a few features. The Pathfinder Platinum has vented air conditioned seats which are great on hot summer days and a few other things. Most vehicles don't have AC vented seats.
After I test drove the Rogue for a number of hours I see it as like a smaller Pathfinder, and would be a lot more economical for normal city and country driving.
From what I have read the Rogue is rated for off road. It is not an all terrain vehicle, but is good for country roads, and harder conditions that what a normal vehicle can do. This is the same for the Pathfinder. With the Rogue you don't have to worry about snow storms, and parking in snow and icy conditions.
The Nissan Platinum vehicle series approach their Infinity vehicles for the features and platform. The Infinity has a more fancy trim outside and inside, and may have a few extra features depending on the model and level being compared. The Infinity over time has a greater rate of depreciation when trading in. For value I found the Platinum vehicles are of better value and are a bit lower in cost for servicing. Insurance rates for the Infinity vehicles is higher. This is my way of seeing things.
thanks for watching Jerry glad you you shared this. congrats to your wife!
I really like how these Platinum trim Nissans give almost Infiniti levels of luxury. Most automakers make their trims a couple thousand dollars in difference but higher Nissan trim levels are more expensive. I'm surprised but it's proven to be successful.
thanks for watching!
Show a night drive , or show ambient lighting please
There a channel for that’s just look up night driving rogue
hey I can certainly try that
Best looking SUV
it sure is!
I ordered one of these babies, along with an extended 100K mile bumper to bumper warranty.
A few things it doesn't have:
- reclining rear seats
- height adjustable passenger seat
- a locking fuel door (wtf!)
But we do like the 360 camera a lot, and the memory side mirrors (few makers have those in this segment). Heated rear seats and tri zone temp is a nice touch. The homelink mirror also works fine. I hope it lasts.
thanks so much for watching congrats on your new vehicle!
You mean you cant adjust the driver seat higher?..... so sad if so, cause Im a person who loves seeing the hood
@@bogart5131 sorry I meant height adjustable passenger seat. The driver seat is fully adjustable.
Just got my 2023 Platinum, and was surprised, that it doesn’t have rain sensing wipers, or Homelink for garage door openers. You would think in that in the top trim level, these features would be standard.
unfortunately those did not make the cut
Bought this exact same SUV - 2023 Platinum in red with tan leather interior
Pros
- pleasure to drive for 8-10 hours a day without fatigue
- very quiet and upscale-feeling cabin
- great visibility
- bird's eye view camera
- lots of safety tech
- beautiful design inside and outside
- roomy - for driver and passengers
- panoramic moonroof
- responsive, large touchscreen
- excellent fuel mileage
- several modes - sports mode makes it decently race-able around town, although at expense of fuel mileage
- doors open almost to 90-degree, making it easy to get in and out
- heated seats and steering wheel
Cons
- Bose system sucks, even compared to my 12-year old Camaro which has better audio
- feels a bit unstable if you take curves fast, or you turn suddenly - almost truck-like suspension if you jerk the car around a bit
- anemic AC
Nice job. Waiting for the 2024 Platinum, I'm really impressed with the refresh. 12.3 display with Google is a nice upgrade along with the subtle changes to the exterior.
stay tuned! will be doing a review once I get my hands on it
What kind of interior lighting accents does it have. I saw they have accents on the door and phone charger. Are there any under the drivers side and passenger side flooring?
I have the 2021 SL Premium and LOVE this car
unreal
Love it❤️❤️❤️
thanks for watching!
Nice Video. Decided to order one. Doesn't come with Homelink though. Had to pay ~$400 extra for it.
shoot make sure you watching my video to set it all up
What is the solid yellow circle light that comes on by the left arrow turn signal? Thanks!
thats the blind spot warning
Dealers are such A-holes for drilling into the front bumper. They usually don't even drill the holes straight, as that plate is crooked.
is there another spot to put the front plates. on this car the frame was drilled into the plate bracket
@@carsunlocked Even in states that "require" front license plates, like Texas, its not enforced. I have run without a front plate since 1997 and only received one warning to date. They should leave it up to the customer to decide if they want to install the front plate bracket. I took mine off and had to use hole plugs, doesn't look great, but better than a big ugly plate. :)
@@BoopSnootpull your plug out and just bleed in your pants.
How does sport mode with paddle shifters work with a CVT? Can’t imagine it’s very enjoyable or efficient
yea i never really use it
After remote started vehicle, is there a way to warm the cabin with the AC system? Or a way to pre set heater before remote starting?
yes it heating will set to however you left it
@@carsunlocked after remote started, upon entering the car, AC system and the climate control system is OFF. I needed to do manual start (brake + start button) for me to turn heater on. Can you verify this works the same for yours?
220ftlbs of torque I think - but nice review as always!
thanks for commenting
Where are the fog lights on the Platinum 2023 AWD Rogue? Thank you.
they dont have them
What happened to standard fog lights on Platinum trim??
they got ride of them
Parking mode then put drive then after a couple of seconds the acceleration going high in 25rpm. Like you drive a manual transmission in 1st gear at 30rpm speed sound. Is that normal sometimes in driving? Thank you!
not sure what your asking here
I mean when you put in driving mode but it's not properly like in the middle so your acceleration gets high right
What about the fog light lights? They were on the 2022 Rogue.
they removed them
Optional
does it have a rear view camera mirror?
no
Why has the fog lights been removed for 2023?
they were never standard, you can still order it with foglights
@@BoopSnoot FIg Lights have always been standard for 2021 2022 Platinum trim levels but removed for 2023. I guess Nissan is trying to save on costs
Fog lights at our dealership cost $500
No cvt in the pathfinder why cant they do the same for the rogue ☹️😕
the cvt is not going away its in the pathfinder for the towing
The Nissan qashqai platinum
Hmmm, beats out the Leaf SV Plus a little bit. 🥰
we got the sv rogue coming soon STephen!
@@carsunlocked Awesome !
No fog light?

I love this car how much is it
the price was mentioned in the video
That Bose system is a 10 speaker system. This dude needs a bit more training to be reviewing vehicles
sorry there chief
No ambient lighting
nope thanks for watching
Cvt transmission is a big issue
nissan states they have improved the cvt
Get rid of the CVT and we're sold.
no can do
