DCAS: Why Ally "Trusts" Riya (And Why It Kinda Makes Sense)

  • AKA: Ally dances like a dunce while I talk about her for four minutes.
So Ally's gotten some hate lately regarding a certain interaction she's been having with a certain backstabbing bollywood beauty. So, I wanted to share my opinion about why it happened and why it might actually make some sense.
This is just my opinion. If you agree, that's fine, if you disagree, that's also fine.

Although Riya has a history of being a huge backstabber, it makes sense that Ally would trust her. Since Aiden and Jake have gotten closer since Tom was booted, and Connor seems to have formed a bond with Jake after having learned about Riya and Alec, if she were to continue working with the heroes, she would likely be the fourth person voted out. And since Hunter and Tess were her only anchors during the merge in Season 2, she doesn't really have that many options now since both of them were eliminated during the pre-merge. She and Jake can't stand each other and Aiden finds the ladder to be more likable. Ally probably would've had more favoritism from Jake if the Magenta Team hadn't voted Hunter off in favor of Fiore, since he was more useful to them for physical challenges. Granted, Ashley's pretty tough herself, but she also probably wouldn't have had to stop Ally and Jake from arguing so much if Fiore had been the fourth person sent home. And since Ally burned all bridges with Jake when she left with that bear in the TikTok challenge, she wasn't left with any other option than to switch sides, since the villains were starting to lose more of their alliance. But it's not like Jake was exactly getting along with Ally either, since he keeps bringing Hunter into their rivalry. And I have to respect Ally's drive. Granted she's turning into another version of Ellie, but you have to respect her strategy. Having said that, Ally should still watch herself around the villains. All three of them have a reputation for causing trouble in the game. Unless she's thought of how she can betray the villains before they betray her, she's still gonna wind up with fourth place.

That's actually a very good point. I knew that she'd be gone if she stuck with the heroes, but never noticed how they've been planning Ally's arc since the beggining. I might be biased cause I'm one of the 12 people who actually likes Ally, but still very good video

I totally agree, it surprises me how people can't see that her sticking with Grett is much better than her, at most reaching the finale, than sticking with the heroes, which at most she'll get 4th.

It is a common trend in the series , sticking with the people that might get you further like how Ellie stuck with Fiore over Jake and how Fiore Stuck with Ellie over Alec and how Miriam stuck Fiore over Ellie and even Alec and Fiore abandoning Grett and Gabby choosing her girlfriend Ellie over Dan on top of that James stuck Aiden over Yul and Karol and Riya stuck with the guys over her girls alliance and even backstab the guys it’s the common trend the point of the series is keep your eyes on the prize

Finally someone who actually thinks long game instead of just screaming "Ally bad Jake good" as if Jake hasn't been an asshole to her all season long

Nahh, I'm just mad that Jake and Ally still can't get along, even when we see that Jake is starting to become mature in episode 15.
