    I'm watching from Romania. I don't think they ever aired this on Romanian television and I doubt most people would've gotten the humour. But I found it some years ago and I love the hell out of it.

    Hi Eddy, greetings from Cobh in Cork. When they are on the cliff praying for the stone to be upgraded they finish with Amen but Dougal in his clueless way says 'Eamonn' which is Irish for Eddy!

    2:55 I remember we had these toilets in school back in 90s and urinals too. Two of my great achievements in the 1998 as a kid first and last time eating at McDonald's and and shiting in an urinal 🤣🤣🤣

    watching from Yorkshire but from Scotland - I heard you mention Kildare ? I went to a place to visit some relatives about 65 years ago - it was called Newbridge ! nice place then but seems to have grown quite large nowadays ?? Visited a place called " The Japanese Gardens " ! I think that was near The Curragh ??

    Another funny British TV series you might be interested in reviewing is "Absolutely Fabulous" from the 90's. It is absolutely different and fabulous.

    Same with the great Dave Allen - brilliant but highly controversial to some.

    Depends on toilet, my view is the pull thing they got here is best for like water speed to get stuff away but you can also get handle on unit just behind and above toilet which was good but a lot do seem to have the two buttons either on top unit or on a wall (connected direct to water or have hidden tank)

    I think RTE didnt want to show it when it was made so they went to Channel 4.

    • @MarkAfterDark_
      @MarkAfterDark_ Před měsícem

      Apparently that's a myth and the writers never approached RTE in the first place. It's better that it was produced by Channel 4 as it gave the show a larger audience

    the irish tv didn't want it, it was made by a british company, but we all loved it either side of the irish sea. written by arthur matthews and graham linehan, graham a great irish comic writer also responsible for the I.T. Crowd and count arthur strong, worth a watch when you get chance

    Nine if the theological questions across the show's episodes were particularly compex or challenging, unless an/thee offended person(s) was born without a sence of humour, or were fundamentalists veging upon extremism
    More the problems were the situations the Parochial House of Craggy Island found themselves dealing with; being extremely well written & acted incredulous slapstickery, with the extra layers of vedtments adding to the characters aghastness of surviving them each episode.
