You can use the base gel as glue. You just put it on your natural nail and put the tip on as if it were glue. Then cure the nail in your lamp while you're holding the tip on. This is the exact brand that I use from Amazon, and that's how I put them on and they last 15 times longer than with regular nail glue. And I keep mine super long so when it's time they start breaking and trust me my nails don't last as long as other peoples nails because I like them so long and I have such tiny nail beds. Trust me this is the way to go. With this method, I can keep nails for 3 weeks which has never happened.

@@emaroseari Try to make the environment as sterile as possible. Disinfect any instruments like cuticle pushers and clippers. Check out a basic diy manicure video. After the manicure, skip the cuticle oil and lotion. Buff your nails. Wipe with alcohol to remove excess oils. Then you apply a dehydrator and primer before applying the glue and tips. Make sure there are no bubbles when gluing the nail tip coz water can get trapped in the bubbles and cause fungus. If you use colored polish, you can check for nail tender spots by lightly pressing the nails. If you feel any usual tenderness or pain remove them. Remove them every 2 weeks (check for fungus). Give your nails a break to heal and thicken after every 2-3 sets.. Clean area, clean instruments, dehydrator, primer and no bubbles you should be good. Good luck.
@@JaterraBriaNa if you use regular glue it’s no longer gel x lol. Gel glue allows you to file down colors bd apply different designs without having to build a whole new nail and redo the application process just to change a design. You can even do fill ins with gel x nails when done properly. But what you’re doing is basically press ons.
Wait.... with gel X, don't they use a brush-on gel under the press-on and cure it, instead of using the glue? I thought that was the whole point of the press-ons themselves being clear......

They look sooo good 🥰💗 thank you for sharingg love
Thank you for watching & commenting❤️
Damn takes some major steady hands for that to look so professional I could never
I feel you. Paying over $100 with these nail shops! NOPE, I'm done Ms. Chinese ladies. They over did it with the price. $80 full set below medium size nails, 1 paint of color. Byyyyyee! Thank you for this video!
Girl did you cure the nail glue😂 what secrets do u know that I don’t
I sure did🤣🤣
lol I think her secret is not knowing how to use any of these nail products
@@catherineers 😭🤣🤣🤣
It’s not nail glue as in press ons. They are Gel X nails. It’s a completely different application.
@@jasminehill6600 nah you can tell it’s regular nail glue. The kit itself is for gel x but she glued them on with regular glue
how do you do your opposite hand so well....
Very slowly w lots of patience lol
Try moving your dominant hand while painting instead of the hand with the brush in it
They look professional and cute ❤
GelX changed my lifeeee
You have the voice I wish I did as a girl 😩 you sound so pretty LOL
Thank you booooo, i used to hate my voice so really thanks 💗💗
@@JaterraBriaNa are you from dc?
I looove how u tell yah story 😂❤
💗💗
Yes I started doing my own too, I know my nail lady mad and sad I’m gone especially because I always tipped $20
Thanks girl! I’m gonna support Anna but now also you have a point it’s too expensive as much as I love it❤
as a nail tech… all imma say is make sure y’all prep your nails correctly- there’s a reason why you need a license to be a nail technician, we don’t wanna see no infections 😭
She’s less likely to get an infection since she’s the only one using the items presented! Infections come from unsanitary practices from those servicing the public!
How can I prep them well??
@@emaroseari^^
Good luck.
Girl please the salon is where you get the fungus at.
I'm confused, you glued and then used the lamp? or was it because of the base coat?
Girl I cure w the lamp after everything, I feel like it helps the nails last longer💀
gel x is when you use the gel glue not regular nail glue?? did they not send you the gel nail glue?
@@shakiahl7782I know what gel x is, they did, it doesn’t work as well as reg glue.
She does it her own way so 🤷🏻♀️ let her be lol
Those look so amazing!
You did an excellent job! They look beautiful! 👍😁
Wait.... with gel X, don't they use a brush-on gel under the press-on and cure it, instead of using the glue? I thought that was the whole point of the press-ons themselves being clear......
Yep, this is just my preference. I’ve done that process too, i like this better :)
@@JaterraBriaNa ok cool.... lol.... that makes sense then.... I was just making sure I wasn't losing my mind thinking I've seen it done with the gel....
So you glued the nails on instead of using a gel to adhere? These are press ons with a gel polish design. They look good, but the description is misleading.
Yes I used nail glue bc the gel they sent SUCKS. I’m still using gel x tips, these are not press on nails, so I’ll stick with my description bc it makes sense to me🥴
These are gel nail extensions that are meant to be used with gel glue and cured. but she used them like they were press-ons with regular nail glue instead. no need to cure regular glue. it doesnt do anything to it. Im baffled
@@catherineers I was also very confused on my she cured the nails when she glued them on.
@@JaterraBriaNa I understand why you used the regular glue because I have used the gel glue for my Gel X nails and it didn't last. I just used the regular glue and it lasted! So I get you sis 👍🏼
@@anetraapplewhite7190 thank you bby❤️❤️❤️
Holy cow, those look gorgeous!!🩷🩷
YOU DID THAT!!! Doing French tips is the hardest thing on earth to me 😂😂😂 I’m gone try this method next time 😂
Thanks love, i really hope it helps!!!
what is the UV lamp doing to cure the nail glue???
right, is it curing the nail glue?
"Gel X" is a brand name.
Could’ve sworn it was the name of the soft gel used to apply, but ok.
THEY ARE SO PRETTY WHAT
I love going to the shop getting my nails and feet done . It’s therapeutic for me 🥰
S/O to the pretty gals with hairy knuckles on their fingers and toes
THANK YOU! Tired of these pick me hoes telling me to shave it.
@@JaterraBriaNa don’t worry about them . Growing up I’d always have somebody talking about me. Like cut it , you just mad cause you can’t grow hair at all
Hey I was wondering if you used a base color for these? They turned out so cute.
Yes, I used a base pink from that kit of 6
@@JaterraBriaNa okay thank you. I guessed that but I wasn't sure. They turned out really good.
Same same same ! I do my own now & they last just as well as the salon ! Fool-proof & EASY to do.
I’m on a very tight fixed income. All my money goes to what’s important to survive. Then it goes to my daughter. We live comfortably. & are blessed. I save enough to get my own nails done. Have gotten them down twice. Both times $85 & was done! No Mas! No ma’am! Lol this I’ll def. try! Thank you! Btw they came out beautiful! ❤️🔥
This is too much work for me. 😂 WalMart has the Kiss press ons already decorated and they come w/ the glue! 💅💗
