I love how they kept the elegance and touch of late nineteenth and twentieth century in their house-even though they had some renovations done . They have a little touch of end of 20th century but not much. Congratulations to this family about their house. Was an interesting visit of their house. Thank you for sharing this visit to us

This was a joy to watch. So festively decorated inside and out.
And no sight of grey or white walls/decor, painted furniture, farmhouse and hobby lobby items.

Growing up we didn’t have lots of Christmas decorations. We had a small tree with a few ornaments. But we always had a wonderful Christmas dinner. The table was set with the “good” china that sparkled from the warm glow of candles. The food was awesome and plentiful. While I enjoyed this home tour and really appreciated the style of the home owners I think I enjoyed hearing how excited you were more than anything.

the vintage tree on 2nd floor is called a ceramic tree. When my Mother passed away I got the ceramic tree back I made for her.

I guess I’m the only dissenter about the Christmas decor. While a lot of it is beautiful, it made me feel claustrophobic with stuff, stuff, stuff in every single corner. It reminded me of My Big Fat Greek Wedding when Tula was taking all the bows off her wedding dress. Way too much! But, it’s their home and their style. They do seem like they would be interesting people to know.

I absolutely adore old homes and the decor style! Wow - I have a small foursquare home built in 1900 and I hope that I can eventually deck it out like they have done to their house.

I have had the angel on my tree for 25 years, she has been repaired once or twice and I added ribbon to her waist which trails in front of her gown, bit I love her and would never dream of replacing her. Xxxxx
Total fun. Loved seeing the photos of "your" house as well. It's not often anyone is able to keep in touch with former occupants of a home, and to learn the history. My fav is SNOWMAN ALLEY! Even at my age ;) I wish for a snowman tree in my home. Thanks for the tour!

I love this house. But more the fact that this couple took the time to decorate. So much work went into this and I appreciate the love and care it took for them to keep our western Christmas traditions alive. We are seeing Christmas slowly being removed, bit by bit, each year in big box retail stores. In the old days, store fronts like at The Bay up here, were decked out in everything related to Christmas, and now just red and gold splashed around in their large window fronts, with not a mention of Christmas. And decorating magazines like Canadian House&Home, use to show homes all decked out, but each year I have seen less and less, to now just a few sprigs of greenery and a sparse generic decorated tree is all the Christmas cheer to be found. So I stopped buying their magazines, and I will not shop for Christmas presents in stores that do not support Christmas. I want Christmas cheer when I walk into a store, from the decor to Christmas music, and people need to make a statement with their wallets, that people who love Christmas, will not stand by and watch Christmas be pushed right out of this wonderful season. If I lived close to you, I would definitely shop at you parent's store. Even Christmas lights are being attacked. I saw an article in a paper, about how the Christmas lights where harmful to the planet, and for the sake of the "Climate Change", people should stop putting them up. I looked closer at the small photo of the writer of this article, and it was an obvious non-Christian person. There is an agenda, but I still have hope. This time last year, there was a group of children singing Christmas carols inside of Walmart, in our small town. A large group of people stopped what they were doing, and gathered around. I watched the people, their faces lit up and you could see how happy this made them. Christmas, our values and traditions must be protected.

Oh my goodness... this was a trip down memory lane for me. My Mom and I had a house just like this one. We ran a B&B. The layout was just the same and three floors also. We decorated some what like that, not quite as beautiful. Thanks for posting , good memories 🙏

Tell Mary she made me fell like a kid again. Her house is a close runner for the Biltmore. Love the caroling dog and the Christmas goose and the large pair of foxes. where can you buy such exquisite decorations, my taste runs along those lines but they seem hard to find. Oh, and yes, thanks for including their puppy and kitty in the video!
I love seeing how others do Christmas. I do the same with bedding. My husband just rolls his eyes! Ha ha! We have quite a few Christmas trees in our house too . Loved the animal tree. I might take that idea & run with it. I want to make a felted tree. That would be fun with meddle felted animals on it. I collect embroidered felt stockings. I do one a year. They take a year to make. Might have enough by the time we have grand kids.

Personally, I loved all the bold colors they used for paint in each room. Nothing light or wishy-washy. They really pulled the trigger with color selection. Looks fantastic.

I love how much attention to detail she does in decorating for Christmas, I used to be that way, but since I've gotten older and have some physical limitations I'm not able to, but I love seeing how others decorate.
