  • Thumbs up if you can slather garlic on EVERYTHING.
    RECIPE
    Ingredients:
    1 head of garlic
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    1 pinch salt
    Fresh cracked black pepper
1 sprig fresh thyme, removed from stem
    Steps:
    1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
    2. Chop off the top stem of the garlic head to expose the individual cloves. Place garlic on a piece of foil, and drizzle with olive oil to coat the exposed cloves. Season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with thyme.
    3. Wrap the aluminum foil around the head of garlic to seal so the oil doesn't seep from the packet. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 45 minutes.
    4. Allow to cool and use on anything: toast for garlic bread, popcorn, cooked vegetables, dissolved into mayo or butter, tossed with pasta, stirred into mashed potatoes, mixed into meatballs or hamburger patties.

No lie: add more olive oil, some minced parsley, salt and pepper, and some grated Parm, spread on bread slices, pop under the broiler -- and this will make some of the best garlic bread you've ever had *IN YOUR LIFE*

Looks delicious. I learned a technique If you want a quick way to roast garlic and don’t want or need a whole bulb done. You just put a few cloves of unpeeled garlic in a dry cast iron pan over medium high heat for about 15 minutes turning a couple of times until each side of the paper has started to turn black. Wait for them to cool a bit and peel them, the garlic will be soft and mellow. Not as complex a flavor as the videos method but it’s quick and easy.

Don't get me wrong it's exciting and attention grabbing how he is on his own series but it can be a bit much sometimes and I gotta watch in small doses. But either way I hope he never stops because he is getting better. Thanks Frankie! Keep on cookin'!

4 yrs later just tuning in forgot what to do with roast garlic which I used to do all the time he was pretty even here, me a foodie any great ideas welcome I don't eat meat but e.g. lemon zest/juice pasta from Ina Gartner who usually drowns her stuff in tons of butter ... was a great idea throw in some shrimp as opposed to caviar and food is expensive and a tin of sardines with breadcrumbs if Parm or romano a bit much is a genuine sicilian recipe throw in a bunch of greens and a bit of olive oil garlic it's a completely acceptable meal, tx for comment,
