The dude is 56 years old with literally a piece of metal in his throat, having sustained a neck and back surgery. I would like to see these keyboard warriors to go and perform half as good under those conditions.

Marty Friedman, John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai etc. all in their 50s and still play like monsters. Dave doesn't practice
Jake Grogan they’ve barely had any threatening life complications that have specifically threatened their playing, I cant criticize Dave cuz 2 years ago I ripped a muscle on my arm that kept me from playing for almost 7 months, dave had something more threatening to his arm he had to basically learn how to operate his arm and play again at the same time not to mention his heroin addiction and the metal shit he has on his throat, this guys a fighter and it’s not fair to throw him under the bus without understanding his efforts.
Jake Grogan and those guitarist barely play any shows now so they don’t have to worry about practicing or singing.

I attended a Megadeth concert a month ago and believe me, his voice has improved a lot, so now I bet he can play my last word again
Holy shit. Dirk is the best drummer since Nick. He played the fills just like Gar did and did him proud. Dave is an inspiration. Despite all kinds of health issues, he's still out there giving the best he can, as if it's 1986 all over again, to the fans who love him and Megadeth in general. Just gutted they snipped the last 30 seconds of this amazing song.

He uses his wrists for his backbeats and doesn't rimshot, unlike drover who hammers with his forearms . Different styles i guess. Plus the mixing isn't the best. Drover had some stellar moments with Megadeth, but he's too sloppy live. Metallica can get away with a sloppy drummer bc they're mostly rhythm/groove based music but Megadeth music has too many intricacies which weren't fully satisfied with drummers like Drover.

He played the solo better than most people could without going through all the crap he's been through! Broken neck, injured arm almost ending the band and all the rehab to strengthen his arm and hand to be able to play again after the "experts" told him contrary to his faith. He fought to get where he is. Also, in his 50's being an addict and getting clean, his life has been a long hard road out of hell give him a break! Maybe break is not the right word, give him a chance. He really tries and I salute him.
Wish Dave could be younger! Wonder how many more years of Megadeth remain

The solo on this song is probably the most "fitting" of any solo in any thrash metal song. Dave Mustaine is a good guitar player and an UNRIVALED COMPOSER in the genre. There are better players but its hard to find a better musician in thrash.

I'm glad they played this live again. Great song. David Ellefson's excellent bass riff drives the song (though it was a bit too low in the mix here imo) and it has one of Dave Mustaine's best solos.

I love this band so much, I wouldn’t be mad if they had the old prerecorded lyrics in the background while they played their instruments live. Especially on the more taxing songs for Dave’s vocals.
He will probably still be doing these in his 70's and beyond.

Thanks to Dirk we can listen to Gar's awesome drumming and some of Megadeth's finest.
Even that Dave voice isn´t the same as before those 30 years and his hands are not in best shape (solo sounds kinda sloppy) I am glad they played it live and they are living legends! Wish I could seen this live.
I want to believe that the sloppyness of the solo is because they haven't played it in a long time (is a difficult one to play btw). Maybe when they start to play it regularly it will get better. Lets hope for that...

Dave could get a vocal teacher and improve his vocals a bit
His vocals wont be any better, it will get even worse sadly. He is almost 60 and he is not one of those happy guys that their voice sounds the same even after decades (Halford, Dickinson). Only way to help his vocals is another downtuning, but it would sound shitty. So even with vocal teacher he would sound almost the same and he prolly dont even want any teacher cause its just Dave.
I think so, holy wars is hard solo too and Dave can now play it with his eyes closed, because he is just doing it almost every night for almost forty years so. :D

Whatever it sounds this song is epic, quite epic that should be more known. So great writen, take a listen to the original and will feel the strength it gets till the solo, where your head will explode. You can feel how badass and raw is Mustaine. Such an inspiration for all the upcoming bands like mine. Hands down.

People are saying that the solo's bad but I think it sounds pretty good like the notes are kind of slurred together(which does mean it's sloppy) but I think that gives it a cool gritty sort of sound so GO DAVE!

My all. Time favourite megadeth track, seen them play this at Graspop, after me saying there was no way they were going to play this, and it was bitter-sweet as Vinnie died, but it was one of the best times of my life. That rhythm riff in addition to the solo at the end is just epic
