Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

Its the equivalent of being in say a ships ammo locker and handling a shell, dropping it, and going, "oh fec."

The worst thing is, at first they wouldn't know.
Assuming you built the adamantium as the last layer, they wouldn't have figured it out until thay peeled away several layers of normal iron.

Yes it was the 3rd layer and they collapsed the wall but the adamantium just stood there dangling an invincible barrier poor guys.
How would you react if they attacked your Outpost thingys and build their cannon in the tunnel?

I really like this mode, it reminds me of the custom map on Warcraft 3 where you got like 10 different people controling different classes, 5 of them are for combat and the other 5 are back in their base crafting and researching stuff to help the party such as weapons, armors, potions, buffers and such. Very team focused.

Adamantium wall, can say from experience... though not sure that match was legit. The host's team was able to shoot through my team's adamantium walls like butter with the same exact canons we were shooting at their adamantium wall that simply ricocheted off.

@@majormajorasic my team had angled armor, our canon shots were bouncing off non-angled armor
@@AkariEnderwolf Might be that Adamantium can't bounce as angeled? Might be that coding went to extreme is has 100% ricochet chance at 90 degree shot but less at angled.
That or something else bugged.
@@majormajorasic we had both regular and angled adamantium, host team shoots right though it like butter with the same canons we couldn't even scratch their adamantium with. That seems like a lot more than just a bug.

eventually someone kills adamantium using an upgraded cannon. Not the supports, no the thing itself.
Imagine building an adamantium curtain (basically a strip of adamantium dangling from the ceiling) completely blocking off your team mate from any harm but also making him unable to do harm on some hanging-fort map

it would be utterly useless - and you cannot build it to hold up your core, so the core would still be held up with background wood bracing - able to be nuked
Steel Steve what if the nukes can’t reach the core, because it hits the admantium and doesn’t have enough splash range?
That little maneuver is gonna cost us 51 years...
I really like how he is just saying what his teammate is doing wrong but not telling the teammate. The poor guy thinks he's doing everything right, only until he watches the video.
Perhaps next time you should team up with babereto...and explain the strategy...yeah

Make a full Adamantium shell around your core! And let the enemies just do nothing to it.
Communicate with teammates? Pffft... ur an Army of One, teammates should just watch in awe.
The first destruction was actually really impressive
Maybe use the unlimited metal cap mod, just so both teams don't have to wait so long, and use so much space, just to get the metal required to build it.
The opponent would instantly collapse there base if that was the case
this is also why you see incursus bracing up the bottom supports early in a game so your entire base doesn't collapse under its own weight.
That was disapointing... You should go alone versus multiple people in the same map, maybe then they wont give up so soon
This is really a 3v3 map, not 2v2 considering it has 3 reactors, hell even a 4v4 wouldn't be crowded.

When I saw the train of explosions leading away from the detonated core in that final match, my first thought was "did his batteries all just chain-boom?"
the replay confirmed that, yes indeed, that was a chain reaction of batteries.
I may be sick as heck but just that "Wot?" made my day! Haha!
Ild love to see you do this again, but with two friends so you can optimize your time. have one focus on building the economy, one focus on building the tree up, and one focus on cross bracing the entire fort while you get set up. So you can have alot more fun with the shenanigans

Adamantium can, in fact, be damaged and break. I’ve only seen it happen because of a cannon that had a ton of upgrades(and due to having some unsupported in zero-G, and having a cannon shot bounce it back enough to break it). Also, Swarm Missiles, Warheads, Incendiary and Heavy Mortars are all good counters to it, since they always explode on impact, and thus can damage what is most likely weak bracing behind the adamantium.
Speaking of antigrav, take a base and make it fly. Confuse the enemy

Hi I just started watching your forts gameplay despite NEVER EVER playing the game and know i'd NEVER EVER will... i suck at rts but unlike other RTS this game is very easy to watch and see everything going on, rather than other RTS having huge 3d maps and confusion.

Heckin good games to watch and heckin satisfying when enemy forts being destroyed.
zig zag style bracing can collapse because there's two walls with an unsupported joint connecting and the other side is also connected to a single join so it can just fall over.
not gonna lie the collapses on those ships do look satisfying

I think its better if you fortify only and let king be your only opponent. That way u can focus on economy and fully built your invul base while king goes full firepower and tries to topple your indestructible fort. Just a thought.
The way he says "that's fine" I imagine a guy standing there with a bat and a crazed look in his eye as well as creepy smile and i find it hilarious

I played with the well defended mod
First 15 minutes all i did was increase production, many many minutes later, our cores were protected by 2 layers of adamtium
The enemies in the first round be like:

I have never played this game. But having watched almost all your Forts videos, I feel like I could win my first round haha
for anyone who doesnt know they technically arent unbreakable i hve tested it with nukes and a mod that just rapid fires anything for a while. it takes a good like 300 nukes to destroy it. but if you make a 1x1 sized box all out of it and do the cross in it. that cube will implode and break instantly

I have no idea why in 4 days i watched 100 episodes of a guy i dont know playing a game i dont own and never played before while just waiting for his evil laughter after sploding an oponents core.

I know so much about this game, it's community, and it's mods, and i've never even played it, and probably never will play it

The horizontal energy was actually pretty logical in that instance since the reflection from the shields above would go downwards

Regarding the comment at 23:20 stating that the tower would still stand if all the wood would blow up, I'm pretty sure it will still buckle in on itself. It would still require horizontal supports to remain stable.

Get a couple guys together in a match and make an indistructible base vs a base that's all weapons. See if they can manage to defeat you.
You should do a death star thing where you put anti gravity things in a circle thing and detach it from the base and hook it down with ropes, it needs a laser in it and you fire out of the death star with the laser
Attack the enemy reactor with your own reactor. Get all that divine wind up in their busy-ness.

Incursus try putting indefinite upgrades mod with this one, it should be fine considering that the well-defended mod only adds metals and the indefinite upgrades one changes vanilla equipment
