Im back. Most know this i assume, in original previews of ACL Donna as Cassie was NOT chosen for the final eight in winning a spot. As an X girlfriend of Zach he as director let her audition...barely. Married couple Neil Simon and actress Marsha Mason after seeing a preview performance went backstage and told Michael Bennett the ending wes terribly sad, Cassie should have been chosen! They changed the course of history for the show and Donna, after Michael changed the ending.
Thank you for sharing this with us but my god talk about out of synch...Whoa. Kinda makes a person seasick almost. Donna McKechnie is a powerhouse performer as an accomplished Singer, Dancer and Actress. The 'Triple Threat' moniker is well deserved in her case !
