I had the privilege of meeting Bruce back in the 90s. I was a writer for the late lamented Interactive Entertainment CD-ROM magazine, and we did a profile on his computer game company QQP. That was in the same building as Northlandz (although at that point he was calling it Great American Wonder, I think). Left an indelible impression. I love this profile, and I'm so glad to see that the facility has been reopened!

Thank you for sharing that wonderful memory! Meeting Bruce and experiencing his vision firsthand must have been incredible. We’re thrilled that you remember the early days of what is now Northlandz, and we’re glad to continue his legacy. It’s heartening to know that the facility and its history have left such a lasting impression. We look forward to welcoming you back to see how it has evolved!

just finished my tour and found this video afterwards, thank you for making this video! A beautiful love letter to a beautiful piece of art! I've been to small worlds in Japan...and although it might be technically impressive and newer, it doesn't have a single ounce of personality compared to this! especially watching this video afterwards you can tell this was a true gift to us, I once in a lifetime artist willing to sculpt an amazing living world for us to admire with a true childlike wonder!
    Thank you!!!

The work Bruce W. Zaccagnino is just so Inspiring. Someone better start buying HO scale locomotives and Rolling stock to make the Trains longer. You know, Donations to Northlandz. Give them more locomotives and trains to run and operate.
Me personally, I would personally like to donate an HO scale EMD F45 diesel. Though as of now, I don’t have the money.
I want to model trains, but I never had the Time, Space, Money, or Resources to.
I plan to do it one day, plan to model trains.
Clearly, the gift God gave to Zaccagnino is Truly Incredible.

I used to go every year. For one reason or another I haven't for a few years. I enjoyed seeing what he added since I'd been there. I would usually bring someone new just to see their reaction. I most enjoyed being greeted by him at the end of the tour at the gift shop. I thought I'd heard awhile back that he sold it. We were planning to go this year but the virus stoped that.

Me and my family went there one year, there was a box of ded broken engines with the northlandz signature on them.. he said the majority of them were broken and that if we wanted to take one we could have one, we took it home and it didn’t work… but god I still wish I had that locomotive.. one that ran on the Northlandz layouts

The owner is also an amazing musician, playing the antique Theater Organs in the auditorium. I went there just before Christmas 10 years or so ago. He was playing the most beautiful Christmas classics.

It's an impressive display for sure, but the one area of failure is the faux rocks/mountainsides. They don't look resemble the natural world at all. I'd like to see that improved over time.

I've been going since before he opened this building. He had a house with 4 basements where he built a similar, tho smaller , railroad.
I haven't been in a few years. I too had heard he sold out. Don't know back story, did he die or just get too old? Read new owner wanted to fix up and add to it but Bruce was an artist and had an internal vision. Hope new owner does well. Maybe I can get my daughter to go again , she was 12 last time she saw it. We'll take he husband with us.

Been there, rode the train outside. If you haven’t been there you would not understand the grandness of it. The bridges are huge. You never see everything at the same time so it’s not like other large layouts that are basically in one room. You keep climbing to a higher level and the scene is completely different. You can not present it fairly in a video.
