Hey all, in this episode of Ford Era. We fly out from Miami, FL to Alma, Arkansas to go crew cab hunting. About a week ago I saw a post in Facebook about this truck. He gave the backstory and I was in shock. A true barn find 1966 F250 crew cab. After talking to him I was able to get a not for sale price. It was more then I was able to afford but @p15_4x4 told me to keep an eye out for a slick crew for them.
So I sent it over and they fell it love with it. Long story short we came to an agreement with the seller and I said I would like to fly in and document the adventure.
Here is the first part of that adventure.

I bought a 1 owner M-250 I owned it for 21 years. I did too it as much as I could for the money I had. Anybody that doesn’t know what an M - 250 is that is a mercury Canadian belt. I sold it to a great family down in Marysville Washington who are now the new caretakers of The beautiful 1966. It came with an original 260 straight six. With a 356 rear end factory locked farm truck. I had to change it over to 373 rear end. Kept the original 260 which was tired from sitting for so long. Installed a 300 street sex drove her for 10 years like that until she got tired That was the time she got some life. 400 HP 347 stroker. There was a lot other work what did to her same colour.I believe it was Something like Caribbean aquamarine. I never did paint the truck as I always love that color. that’s amazing same Colour in a crew cab. I’m jealous
Awesome truck! I believe the 7000 miles is correct after seeing the truck and the condition and the original tires. Just a cool old farm truck.
Right on
My grandpa liked trucks. Every new truck he bought the next day had a new camper and some USA flags stickers on it. He always washed and waxed it. So it was always look clean. His old chevy he traided in sold the day after he traided it in. Because it was looking nice and clean. Can't wait to see how the truck is built
Sweet. God Bless.
Same to you!
Heck yea.
👌
I believe that’s a unicorn right there. Looks to good
Probably a very easy restoration
Even the paint looks like it can be buffed out pretty quick
Great vid man! 🇺🇸👊🇺🇸
Great find. You are an internet honey badger. Digging out the gold. Can't wait to see the next one.
thanks brother
Man thats a killer truck
I enjoyed this video. Great old trucks! All of them!
Glad you enjoyed it
She's a beauty- love that color!
Thanks for bringing us along, that 66 is in amazing shape! What a cool find!
Would love to see what the owners do with it.
Absolutely, I’ll be keeping up with it on the channel
Is it just me or does everyone of these trucks look like it's bent ever so slightly where the bed meets the cab lol
That's one helluva find!
sure is
Great video! Cool looking 66 and hopefully we get to see the finished results! The 64 looked amazing as well. If that guy is in Nashville then he needs to bring it down for the grand nationals for all of us to see. I was lucky enough to obtain a 64 aluminum grill from Ford just literally a couple of weeks before they obsoleted the part number. It was on emergency back order for nearly 3 months before I received it and cost less than $200 new back in the 90s. Absolutely gorgeous and still sitting in my shop unused. I wish I had ordered a dozen of them back then!
Awesome barn Find gotta love these antique Ford trucks from the 60s
Absolutely right
Every Ford in this video was awesome. Love the laid out 64! Looking forward to seeing what the fellas are gonna do to the crew cab.
thanks man, it was a good trip. Ill be keeping you posted
'64 Air-ride... Perfect feature to prevent Cat theft. Now if we could just figure out how to put it on a vehicle that HAS Cats...
I'm becoming a ford guy again a bad experience with a 5.4 4x4. Now I have 3 66, two trucks and an econoline. 250 all original runs great "now of course", and a short bed step side with 302and c4. Put a 300 in the econoline w/ original 3 on the tree. Tight fit but I like that one the most right now. I'm shortening the 250 steering column. I have no idea how far dudes drove that truck back in the day but it'll be safer than hugging it anyway.
❤ that’s the one only front grill It’s called an eagle beak.
Nice
Love that Ford color!
its the quintessential color for a classic
Great Video ! Look forward to seeing what that turns into
me too
That’s really sweet!
I don't know a Slick owner who only has one truck! heck! I have 4! :-) nice find!
haha
Awesome buy!!!
Dang that's awesome 👌
it really is
The old man who runs a antique store in my town has had one of those since new, think he's on his 3rd or 4th engine now with at least 5 paint changes that I can remember lol
When you talk about a work horse engine you can't beat a ford 300 straight 6. Very nice find. Grandpa's truck.
The V-10 Triton engine wants a word with you, but please make sure that it is the 7.3 liter one, as the 6.0 liter one has reliability issues, though they are minor and they can be fixed with the right custom/aftermarket parts.
@@paxhumana2015 what about the 5.4 triton?
What a sweet ride! That would make a sweet factory restoration truck. But, I know those guys aren’t going that route…lol
yea it would and you are correct 😉
I said the same thing since it's practically already there. I have noticed something that has changed over the years. complete factory restorations, in other words as close to what it could be purchased like brand new were worth more money. but that's not the case anymore.
Hot Rod Powernation did a 300 I-6 turbo build on CZcams. Maybe they are still looking for a good home for it?
I really need to hang out with you Solomon. You seem to find some of the most ultra rare Ford trucks. First Gold Dust, then the B100 and now the 1966 slick Crew Cab. What the truck?
Thats some nice Fords. I need some Ford friends there's none around me at all
where ya at

Well I really dont need any glasses. Other then that enjoyed.
My papa had a 66 single cab, 352 3 speed, short bed. Black paint, on red, chrome package. His mining boss drove his 62 Galaxy 406 4 speed off a slick WV road .. totaling the car. Guess where its drivetrain & 406 flags went ???
Nice when a young man does so well he can afford a truck of this magnitude. Yes I’m hating
Can you point me to anyone in Southern California that do what you do? Collect, fix, salvage old Fords?
where did you get that shirt?
Why would anybody over the age of 17 do that to a 60s F250 beaut truck? He definitely grew up in the NWA was a thing.
Man I like your videos but when Britt Shore was talking about the history of the truck, that background “music” was an annoying distraction. What is the purpose of background music when someone is speaking anyway?
i have it set to 6% but sometimes when the person is talking softly or quiet it doesnt sound as good. the point of the background music is to make the video sound nice
So is the Dude that sold it actually aware that you weren’t really the one taking the truck? I mean, not illegal but that’d be kinda sketch.
Nice
thanks
