Testing BMW M throttle modes on track - Efficient vs. Sport vs. Sportplus - manual f80 M3

- So I did a thing to my car...
I flashed/ coded it with Bootmod3 to have automatic rev matching in Sport+ mode. Flooring it on the straight in Sport mode (which has auto rev match) wasn't as responsive on throttle as I wanted it, but Sport+ gave some rough downshifts that required heel-and-toe, which isn't easy with trail braking. Solved both and added burbles. Can hear the turbos kick in with loads of boost to spare. Some backfiring around 115mph.
Translation: I can use the faster mode now that downshifting is easy... Lots of pish and popping sounds are cool.

What supporting mods you have done? CrankHub? Any issues with cooling at all. I want to track my F80 so bad
@@Al-vl3tp tracking it is wild, you will love it. 😎 I recommend trying autocross first though. If you see me at a track day, come say hi.
Cooling: on track, no issues at all. This was a big reason I bought this car, as I didn't want to deal with cooling issues on track. The gauge never goes higher for me than regular street driving, even after a 4 session day.
Crank hub: If I ever do stage 2, then yes crank hub swap. Seems to happen to a lot of the stage 2 folks, but I'm no expert. I already changed to cold spark plugs to prep for stage 1. Have bm3 but haven't done stage 1 yet but will soon. I will definitely keep an eye on what it does to cooling.
Bolt capture options are a possible work around without replacing the crank hub.
Part deux:
First mods I did for track were high boiling point brake fluid and street/ track brakes. Wanted to get my last use of my all seasons, so shredded those on track (and got made fun of for it..lol), but then switched to pilot 4s sport tires (square set up).
This car is capable for track without any mods, as Misha Charoudin showed at Nurburgring in someone's stock f80, but if you're doing a full track day, do the high temp brake fluid, pads and tires.

1.) One Piece CrankHub
2.) VSRF full bolt on
3.) MHD Stage 2+ OTS
4.) stainless steel brake lines all the way with race break fluid.
5.) 034 380mm 2 piece front routers, rear stock
6.) HR lowering springs
7.) Autosolutions Short Shifter Kit
