    The reason they still do it is because getting the fines is cheaper than actually putting in place the infrastructure to not pollute the water. They don’t care about the fines, it’s us who pays them with rising bills.

    Since 1989, shareholders of water companies have received up to 900 billion pounds in dividends. The UK urgently needs new reservoirs. The last reservoir was built when it was still under public ownership. The UK is the only country where people pay for the water they use.
    The money paid to shareholders could have paid for several reservoirs.

    Just refuse to point blank pay your water bill they cant cut you off as its a basic right to have clean water
