Can tell these comments are full of LG fanboys - there's a severe lack of originality on display here
    1. We don't need to be able to display that we can "do better" in order to criticise art, in the same way we wouldn't ask you to point out things that are worse in order to justify you liking something - it should stand on its own merits (which not a single one of you have put forward)
    2. We all live in our own homes like the adult people that we are
    3. It's just facial hair
    4. Ed Sheeran has way more talent in songwriting than Liam Gallagher
Now, let's all try and say something actually interesting moving forward please

First time I've seen CZcamsrs quipping at people commenting on their video. You're allowed to have a view but anyone who disagrees isn't? You'll be blocking people next.
There were people writing this album off 20 minutes after it was released. It's a forty odd minute album and they cast judgement in 20 minutes. Gone are the days when people paid 10 hard earned quid for the album. When you paid for the album you listened to it and it usually grew on you. I've had many albums I disliked on the first few listens only for it to become a go to favourite with time.
Today's digital throwaway society has made people's listening habits lazy with them cooing over the latest three chord saccharin fix throwaway tune by some over hyped flake of an artist.

Tragic to hear so many oasis fanboys trying to suggest they because someone didn't hear oasis at their best means they can't call out Liam making a terrible song and this is bad.
Being the front man of a band in the 90s means absolutely nothing today. Embarrassing to see so many people getting a semi at everything Liam does and then thinking "Where were you in the 90s" is a credible argument when someone has a negative opinion

Entertain me for a moment. Your arguments evoke memories of the inspectors in the 1995 film "The Usual Suspects" - recall how Keyser Soze outsmarted them all? I understand; you remind me of my friends from English literature who studied at Oxford and Trinity, while I was the "dumb" business student. You draw inspiration from the likes of James Joyce, David Byrne, Thom Yorke, or perhaps some obscure Johnny Cale or Nick Cave cover.
But hear me out, let's rewind 30 years ago (okay, you weren't born then, but let's pretend). Two brothers boldly declare on TV that they will become the biggest band in England and that their records will stand the test of time. Their first single, "Supersonic," sung in front of a crowd of 20, with lyrics echoing, "you can have it all but how much do you want it."
Their debut album isn't just an ode; it's meticulously crafted, taking the best parts of music that came before it. In fact the entire first two albums were created this way. "Rock 'n' Roll Star" borrows from The Jam's "In the City," transitioning seamlessly to The Who's "My Generation," leading into "Shakermaker" with nods to Coca-Cola's jingle. "Live Forever" echoes The Rolling Stones' "Shine a Light," while "Up in the Sky" channels "Paperback Writer" by The Beatles, and "Columbia" pays homage to Axe Corner's "Torgua." (seriously check it out).
Each track on their debut album, from "Supersonic" to "Bring It On Down," has its roots in the rich history of music. Even the title "Wonderwall" nods to a George Harrison album (with the outro of course The Cure's 'Lullaby'. However, despite this, they add a positive spin, responding to Nirvana's "I hate myself and wanna die" with "Live Forever," (having been thru a worse childhood than Cobain) and infuse the energy of the Sex Pistols singing the Beatles.
Fast forward 30 years, their albums have indeed stood the test of time, with "Wonderwall" arguably being the anthem of a generation. Leaders like Macron and Merkel have even stood to its tunes, as if it were a national anthem. And now, this 51-year-old with average grades, I celebrate the Gallagher brothers' 18th number 1 album. To me, this narrative is more compelling than the movie Rocky; I cheer for the underdog.
All I ask is, don't dismiss this too quickly. Half of art is the story! Most of us are inspired by this story. I wonder if you share that same spark with your favorites.

Liam Gallagher is still popular with the new generation of music fans mainly because of his attitude imo. He’s over 50 and still acts like a young man or teenager who doesn’t give a f about anything apart from rock n roll. That appeals to kids who’s parents are probably the same age as him. He’s still got the same spirit that connects with young people.

I feel like you guys are the only people out there who also believe the album is not good at all. Apart from 'Mother Nature's Song', which I really like by the way, all the songs are very same-y and don't offer anything inventive or interesting or novel. Even before the first single 'Just Another Rainbow' came out, people online had already pre-ordered the album before even listening to THAT single, which is just bizarre to me. Why would you pre-order an album without hearing it??? I'm glad you made this video because it's important to call out an artists' shit music, in your own opinion, despite being a fan. Oasis are my favourite band ever but I can openly say there's albums I don't like, even from Liam or Noel's. If you go into something already hating it then your brain is naturally going to perceive it in the worst way possible, especially if you're surrounded by an echo chamber of the same opinions & mindsets. Would have been more interesting if at least one of you liked it or had a different perception. Still, you're entitled to your opinion, but not sure if i see the point of reviewing an album you're just going to collectively shit all over, doesn't really achieve much in my opinion. Spread love

Mother Natures Song is a really smooth and chilling song. I'm coming from the guitarist point of view. There's been a couple of people uploading covers of it but they're all playing the basic chords. It's pumped full of interesting melodies, and has a much more complicated structure than what it initially seems. Personally I'm just happy to see these two legends collaborating and giving Joe Public a summer album to get back into that vibe of the pure band vibes. Cash grab? I don't think so. I've never seen Squire bop around before, but he does when playing these songs. It's nice to see him in that kind of groove. But anyway, it's all opinion based I guess.

For guys in their 20's you are disappointingly dismissive. Interested to know if you have any artists or music which you deem as timeless? (And who that is?)
Alot of Squire and Gallagher fans independently will deem both to be able to do no wrong. Not saying the album is amazing btw but you are a harsh reflection of youth reviews.

Liam and John need to go back to copying nursery rhymes in order to get a few hits. One decent song for me which is Rainbows, in fact it blows anything else away on this what can be deemed only a "cash grab." album. The lyrics could have stolen from a five year but Liam and John will still take all the credit. 4/10 and i'm being very kind.

good review lads. looking fwd to seeing the avalanch of Adidads and Pretty Weans screaming abuse at you in these comments - already started. agreed w Cal, the chorus of M2L is actually ok. Biggest enduring disappointment is that the man who created an entire album around the concept of situationism (Paris '68) and who wrote tunes like Love Spreads and Standing Here virtually with his eyes closed, is now churning out shite like this. such is life i guess.

Well it's nothing new but that's isn't the decider on whether it's good. It's a simple rock n roll record, basic tunes embellished by Gallagher and Squires brilliance. And yes, everyone is free to critique art. I'd argue that few do it with such awful smugness as yourselves.

As a 50 year old i can 100% say Liam Gallaghers biggest talent was convincing people he had talent. Absolutely loved definitely maybe when it was released and still do now but the albums got progressively worse unfortunately. John squire was always a talented guitarist so here we are in 2024, oasis and the roses long gone, and left with this lazy sheeeeeeeiiiiiiiittttttte. It certainly wont be the worst album of the year though just not a very good one.
