I had a GS and when they are puppies the ears move and flop till stronger, my boy was mixed with a Great Dane He was gentle and a massive dog his name SPARTAN (SPARTS for short) he died 1981😢 I still miss him ❤
Anyone who's ever had one of these dogs knows how awesome they are. I was absolutely devastated when we had to put him to sleep but I knew he was suffering and I wanted to set him free of his pain. I cried lifting him into the car and all the way to the vets knowing it would be our last journey together. I hope you have as many happy times with your dog as I did with mine
Thank you. I'm sorry for your loss. My foxterrier girl "Leni" died at christmas '22 at the age of 13, and I think about her every single day. I miss her so much. I still have my second dog, rottweiler "Mauser", 8 years. He's such a good boy, and I'm sure he's missing Leni just like I do.
It’s almost like they don’t realise they are there for a while , they just flop lol then all samudden a few months later you can’t even breathe with out those big easy shooting straight up in the air listening 🤣

The best way to teach them, because they want to learn and please us! It's ignorant to think one has to shout to them or "be dominant". Old school ignorance.
Absoloutly no control of those beautiful unruly ears! Will grow up to be georgeous, regal and perk eared dog! Get all the cuddles you can now! Save the memories for later when he's grown! ❤❤❤❤

i had two German shepards a boy amd girl siblings they were super smart now i have a pomeranian amd a doberman we lost our sheltie she was super smart as well dogs are like children of God i wish they never died
Such a beautiful face and adorable floppy ears on this pup. German Shepherds are wonderful dogs. I have one who will be 10 this year and he’s a protective, loving boy. I’m thankful for him every day.
You have to use treats to train. Off camera treats are used. My puppy will do anything without treats any time but only because I gave her treats every other time for the last 2 months. You cant stop using treats untill about 1.5 years old.

Often the dog becomes too reliant on treats. The theory in training is not to give it every time once your dog knows the command. It’s more beneficial to give it sometimes and to also train to your voice. Much easier to work with the dogs on higher level training the way Minion works. He does not receive a treat for each thing he does. At least I don’t believe so. I hope that answers your question

Yes!! Mine learnt to heel and sit whenever I stopped walking. He knew hand signals for "speak" so if someone came up the walk I could signal him to bark to keep them away. He was the best dog.

Nothing like a nice GSD that minds….I asked my 7mo, at the time, Akita to bring me his ball….The next morning…plop, ball at my feet…😂 Oh that stinker. 🐾🦴

I found out GSD has super hearing ability, their upright ears are functional. Floppy ears will reduce their hearing ability. But floppy or not, they are great dogs.
Makes me want to cry....when I was 16 , I had a German Shepherd puppy ....he was my best friend....stayed with me wherever I went....he unfortunately got run over and my heart broke into. I will never forget him. This doggy is so adorable....I love the way that you are gentle with him ....he's learning quickly.❤

You have nothing but tremendous loving energy surrounding that baby. He will know love, and be safe. Brought up with love which he will give out a thousand times more. You have to have loving patience energy with these balls of fur. They can be a little challenging in the puppy stage. But, when their grown, their a beacon of love, caring, protection.....and best friend.
We just lost my 2 family German Shepherds in the last 5 months due to old age. Your tone when you said "good boy" the first time reminds me so much of our Charlie. All he ever wanted to be was a good boy. Such amazing, loyal and loving dogs. Don't ever stop praising your precious companion, positive reinforcement works great when training dogs.

Puppies ears droop while they're teething. They don't have enough calcium to support growing teeth and keeping their ears straight up😂. It's so cute
