Correct, USSR never invaded Afghanistan it helped Afghanistan against world wide support of terrorism mainly funded by USA and it’s NATO allied and vassal states to destroy Afghanistan, because of the Durandline contract expiration in 1989 which was signed by the illiterate king Abdurahman Khan in 1889.
In which his son the great king Amanullah Khan waged the 3rd Afghan-Anglo war against the British aggressor and succeeded in aug 19th 1919 declaring the independence of Afghanistan and signed a pact in 1923 with the bolsheviks to free Durandline and keep British imperialist away from Afghanistan including Durandline! USSR were in fact the first states that acknowledged each other’s independence so this Soviet Afghan friendship goes way back since the beginning.
But as usual traitors like his general Nadir who collaborated with the British in exchange to become king of Afghanistan ousted the real Afghan king Amanullah khan in 1929 by a orchestrated Islamic uprise from British India similar to WW1 wahabi uprise also known as deobandi Islam which is funded by the west until this day in whats now called Pakistan but thanks to traitors like Nadir puppet British shah Afghans were kept in dark ages and the intellectual part of Afghanistan revived the quest and spirit of Amanullah khan by aligning again with USSR! Sadly the USSR Afghan relationship ended in 1989 and western objectives were accomplished in exchange of Afghan blood.
Mahmud Tarzi wrote to his illiterate king Abdur Rahman Khan which was the father of Amanullah Khan.
“Afghanistan being dominated by cunning invaders who despite having lost many wars against Afghanistan, were capable of defeating Afghans in diplomacy, changing Afghan triumph into defeat and continue to rule the country;”

My father told me this film recorded on Dr. Najib government, he was the honest and patriotism president's of Afghanistan history. He wants build Afghanistan and united all afghan together under his government no one can't says I'm Pashtun or Hazara Tajik or Uzbek.
