Ceramic watches chip easily. That's quite a sweeping statement. From Rado to Apple, and Omega, it doesn't 'chip' so easily, unless as a expert reviewer you have personally come across 'many' examples of this sort of situations. I've dealt with ceramics in daily use from antiques to modern wear, and it is surprisingly not so easily chipped unless deliberate force is applied, in which case damage would also be found in any other materials. So it's quite a sweeping statement. And these new high tech zirconia ceramics aren't anywhere like ancient porcelain or those used in teeth before.

The 1869 movement is unique to this watch (at the moment). The Team Alinghi special version has the 1865, but that only has 18 jewels vs. 19 here. The pushers seem nice and large, and are better spaced than on the standard steel Professionals, making this much easier to wind. The OMEGA and Speedmaster signings are actually cut into the bridge, not the dial. I think the Racing-style minute track is highly appropriate, remembering that the Race to the Moon, which the Americans won, was official US Government policy.

1869 is basically an 1861 with lots of pretty decorations.
It has an extra jewel, however.
