    Feel like I've missed out on this sort of thing and more people need to wake up to the advantage of it. In the UK, some carriers now charge for a lot of packages or they do these 'day rate data passes' which look a bit scammy to be honest for the price. With the cost of one of these, you're paying less than what they charge. I'm going to Bali, Kuala Lumpa and Singapore soon and this is on my list as a must do. Great content and appreciate the help

    Thank you so much for this! Just wanted to double check, if I only want to use the data from my e-sim while travelling should I toggle the primary/physical sim's 'turn on this line' off? And then my primary sim will be completely unaffected by this when I return from travelling? Thank you!! :)

    • @jeorjina
      @jeorjina Před 10 měsíci +1

      if you need nothing from your normal/primary line (calls/texts, call notifications, voicemail notices, etc) then you can disable that sim until you return; to avoid roaming charges, I'd turn off roaming or disable the sim just before you leave that country (ie. when you're boarding the plane, or 10min away from a land border)

    Can you please explain how to turn off your carrier service when you travel overseas. On the old phones you just take off the SIM card.. how would you do it with Esim now ?

    • @jeorjina
      @jeorjina Před 10 měsíci +1

      In your phone settings, where you see your setup eSim you can disable the sim, delete it, or adjust the features the eSim can use on your phone

    I have traveled to multiple continents. I buy a local sim card when I get to a country, and use my old phone with it. But mainly, I use Whatsapp.
    This video is nothing but a sim card ad. I am sorry I watched it. I won't call it disinformation because it does work, but wow is this ever not the cheapest and easiest way.

    • @OT4Tech
      @OT4Tech  Před rokem +8

      If you need to go to a store to purchase a SIM card you’re already making the process harder vs downloading an app and activating a SIM card through e-sim… the pricing is also comparable to local prices so not sure how that’s a problem. There was a portion of the video dedicated to using apps like WhatsApp in this video as well as how to use your current phone. As far as this video being an ad, I clearly stated in the beginning that I partnered with Airalo it’s also in the description. Sounds to me like you didn’t pay attention to the video and instead are choosing to leave a negative comment because of this. In any case, sorry you didn’t find it useful. Have a great day ✌️…

    • @OT4Tech
      @OT4Tech  Před rokem +1

      I had T Mobile awhile back as well. Loved their service but due to the consecutive data breaches my information was stolen multiple times and they locked my account so I could not use my iPhone 14 Pro when it arrived. Regardless, I agree that is a great option and glad you are enjoying it. Many people do not have offerings like that on their carriers especially people coming to the US from other countries which makes Airalo a great option. My camera man had to use it when he visited his family in Vietnam.
