+peter corcoran I have a sample of that one, I really like it. Oh and btw, following on from the sample of Opus IX you sent me, I now have a 100ml bottle. It's by FAR my fave Amouage I've smelled so...THANK YOU!! XX
Have you wore it out in public yet ? If not, wait till you do . If your standing in line at a mall , or wherever , people will stand close to you and you'll hear them deeply breathe you in. Interlude , yessssssss. Interlude is my favorite . Yes, they have reformulated . I had a friend try the older Memoir Man . He freaked out. He said it just kept getting stronger as time went on. I told him ,when he first sprayed , that he needed to give it some time. He even said that he couldn't wash it off. He really didn't like it to much, but he liked it better than Epic and he loved Interlude . I think they are trying to westernize their line. So, maybe you can find someone that wants to do a swap/spilt with you from this line, or send you a small sprayer of the older Lyric .I would love to hear you do a comparison between the two versions. I like powdered notes. I also love oakmoss too. Great review and thank you.
+Johmathan .B. Swift I have worn it to work a few times but not properly outside. I will soon though for sure. Interlude...ahh I cannot get to grips with that one, it's so clashy. I will give it more time though. :)
+ouch110 Fragrance Reviews The men's has an opening oregano note in it. For some it's a love hate thing. Doing some sampling from the house of MCCI. So far , so good. I love Invasion Barbare. Thanks for the reply.
I have the dark cap without magnetic. All I get in the top note is very smokey incense rose then make up. Dries down to a high class version of Clinique happy. The new magnetic cap versions are weaker and water down. Thank you IFRA!!!!
I now own 12 Amouage perfumes because of your reviews. I adore Amouage. I only own 6 Tom Ford perfumes, so I must love Amouage more. Lyric is very beautiful as well. Worthy of a full bottle. And yes it doesn’t last long on me either unless I use moisturizer first THEN spray four sprays. Then it lasts about 6-8 hrs. But i just bring a decant with me so i can freshen up. I had to budget myself to only $300 a month to spend on perfumes. So far my list of perfumes that I still want is up to 28. But I already own about 36 perfumes. Not counting any of the cheap ones, I’m only counting brand names and Niche . I am very picky so i have to love each one to spend $$$ on a perfume.
LOVE your reviews! I've got a sample of this and POAL, trying to decide which one is FB worthy...decisions, decisions. I've only just learned to appreciate rose, TF Noir de Noir is the only one I have in my collection, so far ;)
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews Good catch with the name, good to know there are people around who are old enough to remember! Karen was a legend, wonder what perfumes she wore? Order placed about half an hour ago for....POAL, had to be done, I'd run out of excuses, haha!
nice review Thanks I have been waiting for a review on lyric woman. however my top 5 favorite lyric man have you done any reviews on lyric man .. thank you and all the best
Ah now I know why my sample is so much more beautiful than the full size bottle I just purchased, it’s been reformulated. It’s not as amazing as it was. The sample I have is much nicer smelling than the full size bottle I purchased. Samsara has also been sadly reformulated, it’s not the same beautiful scent I fell in love with years ago, they also don’t last more than a few hours, on me at least. It becomes a skin scent.
I love your reviews! How would you compare it to Stella, or the Juliettes, La Fille de Berlin, or even Chloe or Chloe Intense or Sisley Eau du Soir? Thanks :)
Hello, thanks! Hmmm I don't know if I would necessarily compare this to any of those fragrance, while all of those have a fresher feeling this one is powdery and soft. It feels kinda more like a veil of soft rose and powder where Stella is crisp, sharp and clean...also the Juliettes. The serge lutens I have only sniffed once briefly and can't really remember the details I think it's more jammy/powder though. This one is unique for sure. :)
Cracking review, I've found the same with some of their fragrances, the longevity should be better for the price. Memoir Man has insane longevity, but wasn't particularly good.
+1welshdevil Well hello Sir! Long time no speak. The reformulations have been a bit of a pain, but ah well, what can we do. It really is a stunner of a fragrance though. Truly beautiful. :)
+ouch110 Fragrance Reviews I'd rather have a reformulation, then lose the fragrance altogether. M7 shows that a reform can be better. I've just picked up a bottle of Aromatics in Black, talk about obsessed!!! Week off, so catching up with your reviews :-D
Absolutely, I'd rather not lose things too. This one kinda builds itself up too, the more I apply it it's like it layers itself which is cool. I'd kill to try the old formula of this. Grrrr.
I received many amouage samples from Notino today. I hope these are real and not fakes. I liked Lyric it is not that bold as I was expecting it to be...its like a powdery rose with some cinammon on top. I think it's a weird scent...i hated sunshine though....!!! skin chemistry
I received a sample today of this one, smell...I guess is okay minus for me, after an hour the smell completely disappeared on me, I could only smell it after I rubbed me nose against my wrist hard. Basically I would not buy a £280 100ml perfume for such average fragrance, based on this sample I would not even consider buying the discovery set which is £100. It's a no for me, thanks.
Great review :) I have a sample of this but haven't tried it yet! PS: You used to say "berga-moh" for bergamot which is how I was taught. Did someone tell you you were pronouncing it wrong? :/
+KeLL*StaR Well it can be said either way. "Bergamo" is where it was originally grown, a place in Italy. Bergamot is how my Tutor says it...and she's a french perfumer so...I dunno...I have kinda switched. Haha..as long as it's not BergmaoNt I'm fine. I cannot stand when people say BergamoNt. argh!
Ahh I wondered why you changed :D Yes we notice these things haha! How funny, I thought the French would say Bergamo. Thanks for the info about Italy, I had no idea. That's so interesting! I'm sticking to Italy :D Bergamont is definitely annoying.
I've not like most from the normal line... never tried the expensive "Atar" line in those mini little dab on bottles though... or those more expensive line I forget the names, they have totally different looking bottles..
Opus! Oh gosh some of those are amazing. I've got 100ml bottle of Opus (library collection)? IX. It's outstanding and the best one I've smelled from Amouage. I'm waiting for something else to blow me away. :)
+broadcastneo Is it a bit like Chanel No 5? I tried the men's gold and though it smelled like a masculine version of No5. Which I REALLY dislike. haha. :)
+ouch110 Fragrance Reviews i don't like the men's version too. I think it smells oily 😆I don't know how to explain this! The women's is powdery with depth because I don't like any type of powdery. For me I prefer it on chanel no.5. The reformulation of no.5 is no good. It was last best late 80's early 90's i think
Hmmm ok, I really want to make sure I try everything they have to offer, I have a feeling that some of them will blow me away. I am already in LOVE with Opus IX. :)
+ouch110 Fragrance Reviews Olympea is a pretty fragrance, but not much more, IMO. I get a soft strawberry in the opening like an old Miss Dior Cherie BUT I know it doesn't even have strawberry in it so that's weird. I like the salty note, but for a salty fragrance I prefer Versace Crystal Noir EDT. I too would be interested to hear what you think about it.
When I smelled it last year I felt like it smelled very cashmere like, and a bit fuzzy. It has that weird kinda smooth fuzzy texture that comes from Cashmeran. But, it's a slight vague scent memory. :)
+zomfgovaries Absolutley no comparison hehe. This fragrance is delicately smooth, and POAL is dry, dark and beautifully gothic. They are worlds apart. :)
+Kate Opus IX! Is the ONE for me. (Well so far anyway). I've smelled probably about 12 or so of their fragrances now and nothing has come close to that yet. It's the red bottle one. I got it for xmas and was OVER THE MOON!
None of them really. They are all very opulent. If you like sweet floral gourmand, I would definitely start with the "secret garden" line. Love Tuberose, Lilac Love, blossom love...etc.
Hmm I dunno!!!! I've only smelled Santal Blush (and did a review) I found it to be quite simplistic and stripped back, almost like it was ONLY sandalwood so, I'd rather give you some better sandalwood reccs, Geo F Trumper Sandalwood Colofne (although it sounds masculine it's a very edgy and interesting sandalwood, Also...Elephant by Zoologist (released on Sept 30th 2017) It's kinda coco nutty too but it has the most gorgeous buttery sandalwood. Sorry I can't be more help.
+Safia Maria I'm not too fond of Oud, it's just everyhwere and in everything and I'm getting bored of it. I like it only in small doses or where it's balanced, not when it's just all over the place because it's such a dominating note. It just makes everything smell the same to me. I'm a bit "over it" haha. Oh..and I haven't smelled Epic yet no. Is that the green one? :)
Lyric is the worst Amouage that I have sampled so far. To me it smells like a cheap room spray. All I get from it is a little rose and a lot of powder, but not a nice, expensive powder, a cheap baby/body powder. I find that this hangs in the air when sprayed for a good while. However, on the skin, it goes flat immediately and is gone very quickly. I wanted to love this, as I do like rose fragrances when they are well done...I was so disappointed with Lyric.
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews I just bought a sample of Jubilation 25 for women, yuck!!!! Can you say urinal cake??? I really thought I would love it from the notes and reviews, but no, it's horrid. A beautiful amouage, and by far the best that I have tried so far is Beloved for women. It's so amazing...if I was going to purchase a full bottle of any amouage it would be Beloved. The only other amouage I even remotely like is Memoir Woman.
Ha! Jubilation was the most recent one I tried at the airport on the way to India. Hmmm yes..I thought it was ok but something was way off. Memoir is the next one I'll be getting in December, I LOVE it! But none have beaten opus 9 yet for me. It's the best! Have you tried it?
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews Not yet but I have wanted to since your review. The Library line is harder to find samples of. When I first put Jubilation on, I thought I was going to like it, but it quickly turned to urinal cake and stayed there. If you try Beloved let me know what you think! It reminds me of Bal A Versailles (not exact of course but very close) until the dry down where it leans to Organza. I love both, so I'm not surprised I love Beloved.
Ooooh I'll deffo have to try it. I'm slowly working my way through them. The Myths one is not very nice at all and Interlude? OHHHHHHHHHH Gosh just NO!!
Bravo! Sounds really like a beauty. Love to try it... Cheers!
+Lanier Smith Thanks Mr. Yes, it really is a beauty. I could have said so much more but...it had to end somewhere. haha.
I envision any of several Dante Gabriel Rosetti paintings whilst wearing Lyric. It is one of my most favourite Amouages. :)
Really fantastic info, got a sample and found I LOVE this just as much as Journey Woman. Amouage are addictive!
It really is!
If I want to buy Amouage, I'll surely look for your review, so relatable. Huge thanks for you
I love when fragrance reviewers give imagery !
You have to try memoir woman , it's just fantastic imo , one of the best they do 😍

you mentioned coromandel...i have a l' exclusiv sample..love love love!
Yes! I LOVE Coromandel. I wore it this weekend actually. Yummy!
Wonderful review thank you agin x
+Da Pra You're always welcome Dani. :)
If you had to pick between this and Portrait of a Lady, what would you pick and why?
nice review Thanks I have been waiting for a review on lyric woman. however my top 5 favorite lyric man have you done any reviews on lyric man .. thank you and all the best
+Gabriel Garcia Yes I have reviewed Lyric Man. here ya go friend. czcams.com/video/vetdoy2rkBo/video.html
Sound fabulous! The packaging is great,, magnetic caps always seem more luxurious.
+Jazz Girl It is! And the cap centers itself aswell so the word "lyric" is always staying front. How fancy? :)
у меня тоже обзор на этот аромат) love amoeage

Don't be nervous :) they are awesome! More more more!
Haha many more to come! I have oooooodles of reviews to be getting on with. :)
I am glad it's better than the men's version! I really didn't like the Lyric Man!
I bought my mum Ciel Woman :)
+FragranceView It is WAY better than the men's one. Really really beautiful. I can't wait until the day I have smelled everything in their line. :)

can you do pacco robanne olympea!?? Just got and im obsessed!!!!
+Desiree Anna Hello! If I can get my hands on a sample I will. :) I've smelled it a few times and it's kinda cool. :)
Would love to hear your feedback ! I know it's subtle and people are saying not very interesting but for some reason I love it.
+ouch110 Fragrance Reviews I'm not sure why my comment about Olympea ended up somewhere further up. :(
Haha silly CZcams.
I wish I could get into Amouage. I still haven't found one that I enjoy. I can tell that they're great quality, but none of them seem to suit me.

+broadcastneo I've been wearing it to work. LMAO. But only for review purposes of course. :)
+ouch110 Fragrance Reviews you can get the travel set too , more handy

Do you get you look like younger version of Graham Norton?
Quite a lot! haha.
Regarding your interlude comment, did you try Interlude Man or Woman?
I tried Woman, so so strange, I still have the sample and need to review it. :)
yes, strange IS a word I would use for it, lol - very! :) I've only just started to see the beauty in it ... once it settles down.
I need to get to know it better I think, once I stop being scared of it. haha
I shall look forward to the review! :)
maybe its my nose but this one smelled kinda drab compared to other amouage .....personally i love journey for women..
It's definitely not as bold as some of the other offerings from Amouage but I think it's understated and beautiful.
ps love your vids...im a frag hag..
😄 floaty gown 🌬or some crap 💩 like that
😊♥️
OK well just a sample of this will do haha
Hehe, it's very beautiful
have you smell epic women? do you even like oud?
+Safia Maria I'm not too fond of Oud, it's just everyhwere and in everything and I'm getting bored of it.
