    GREAT VIDEO - you can actually install the window with roller on it from the top. The weather stripping needs to be removed then lower window down and install 2 nuts. Next lower window to lowest point and install weather stripping. Super video I did mine differently on 1976 corvette.

    Awesome video. Lots of us appreciate you posting it. Thank you.
    I must be a moron: I took all the parts out, cleaned them and painted them. Some have PAR-15, others is the clear rust prevention spray. I know no one will ever see the parts I painted or polished, but I did, I know exactly what they look like. I’m just looking at the amount of time (wasted time) it took me to do all of that work that will never be seen.

      The guy who restored my 76 vette was a guy who has no pride. Do you believe he installed the interior without using the metal retainers? I’m not kidding you. I’m having the car painted, and while I’m at it, I decided to strip the interior. Every interior part is screwed to the other, no clips and no retainers. The screws don’t even match. I found wood screws and deck screws holding everything together. No wonder he said that everything rattles. Now I’m looking for videos of installation of the interior, just so I can order the parts that are missing. On your video, you installed a plastic part, which is a water deflection part. My doors are missing that plus other parts. Thanks for sharing. If I didn’t watch your video, I wouldn’t have known 3 parts are missing in my doors.

      Thanx for taking the time to comment and for the kind words. I know how you feel, I’ve spent many hours stressing over details that nobody will ever see except the next guy who tears it apart. Haha.
      The interior is such a bear on these C3’s. I have a few interior videos I’m in the process of editing but just havent gotten them finished yet. Between trying to find all the pieces and knowing what is missing like you pointed out is enough to drive anyone crazy. When I bought this car the interior was gutted, thanx to eBay and the diagrams in the Paragon catalog I’ve been able to get it together but it’s been a journey.
      Anywho, thanx again and best of luck to you Tony

    great video! is it possible to adjust the exterior door handle with the window in the car?

    • @ratfarm767
      @ratfarm767  Před 2 lety

      Possibly, I’m not entirely sure as I haven’t tried to do so. There’s a surprising amount of room to mess around even with the window installed, you can probably do most things with it up or down but you may need to work on your contortionist skills.

    Any plans to put stick on sound deadener on the inside of the outer door skin?

    • @ratfarm767
      @ratfarm767  Před 2 lety

      was thinking about it, if I do, i'll just cut the pieces out of some thick painters plastic. If anything, I doubt it does much for sound proofing but it probably keeps the water/moisture from forming mold on the cardboard like material the backsides of the door panels are made of.
