Agnipath scheme played a major role in this election 😅
Gen Shaukin Chauhan's suggestion to revamp Agniveer scheme so that we don't loose Nepalese Gurkha from our Armed forces, must be inplemented. It is must to have them so as prevent CPC'S inroads in Nepal.
They are culturally, socially, civilizationally linked to us.

Well said General. The socio-eco and human aspects have been overlooked while drafting this policy. Clearly, the Agnipath policy has originated from the desk of a chartered accountant and not a military leader.

Agniveer had severe ramifications on diplomacy with Nepal too.
They got afraid that those trained and let gone, could be a danger for another armed conflict in Nepal and have stopped recruitment.
Also, some are saying that doing so would fall under the "Aatma Nirbhar Defence" strategy and would strategically drive down the Nepali recruits.
Whereas the Nepalis continue enrolment (be it in lesser number) in the British Gurkhas, Singapore, Brunei (legally with Nepal government approval)
and the likes of French Legion, Russia, Ukraine, U.S. (technically illegally without Nepal government approval) or are migrating to the Gulf for security jobs with better pay.
Isn't this a huge geo-political mishap?

Gen Shankar had a point about the Social status, which is India specific. Regarding operational problem, if he compares with one of the efficient armies like IDF, which has short duration employment, we can appreciate better.

I suppose the scheme can be reviewed once it is functional for a period. The drawbacks can then be ascertained and rectified. Ours is a country with a huge population and there is no dearth of manpower available for recruitment. The suggestion for graded exit upto 10 years is a good idea. They must be assured of re-employment after giving them proper education. Also increase quotas.Hopefully your suggestions will be herd. Jai Bharat 23:06 🙏

Respected General Sir I was never in favor of agniveer. Following other countries failed model is not good. Our Sena is dependable in this mode only. Thanks
P gurus please anlyse the reinstating ops. This will geow. The 75,% releaved from army will carrying pain of being kicked off from defence.
Agnipath will create a large population of military trained civilians like the National Guard in America that can be used both for civil disturbances and war situations. Those who oppose it apparently don't like this flexibility for some strange reason. Otherwise agree 100% with Gen Shankar. I blame Rajnath Singh for the problems.
Sir agniveer scheem me solders me buttering wali tendency ayegi aur officers me corruption ki tendency badegi.
Hope there is review of Sparsh system of paying pension. So many less educated and widows don't even know how badly it affecting them. Request a program with Gen Shankar on the miseries of veterans whoo have become insecure after its introduction

Why we don't study the Isreal army recruitment and training. We need agile and smart solders in army. The Navy and Air force need talented people to man the sofistocated systems. If it will take 8 years to make a person a real solder, then we have to revisit our Train ing method.

What i am saying that non of them have been able to give the real reason for bringing up agniveer scheme. If do an analysis on the lines of number casualties due to high altitude deployment among over 25 years of age soldiers then you may be surprised.. high altitude deployment has gone up many folds during the last 5 years. Why do you think China is opposing this scheme too. You may be shocked.
