It has been years since the Korean Sunscreen Scandal and K-Beauty is back with some extremely nice options that provide a light texture as well as great UVB and UVA sun protection. These are a handful of 2024 new K-Beauty SPF options that I believe will work for most skin types and are also elegant to wear. While I am still skeptical of many sunscreens out there, these are a few options that I trust based on their filters as well as my wearing experience. More reviews of each are soon to come! Let me know your thoughts on any of these sunscreens!

Ok, who decided, teeth and eyes aren't included in "medical coverage"???? I bought (on sale) so many Skin 1004 and BOJ sunscreens, I'm covered till winter. But, thank you so much for all your hard work!! I now have a few more to try!!!
    Many blessings!!!💖💖💖

Kinda funny, I had asked about the new Isntree sunscreen a few weeks ago, and I'm also a dentist, and here you mention both in the same video, lol.
I am finishing up the older Isntree onion newpair sunscreen. It's ok, didn't really have a problem with it other than it being shiny. I'm a 50 y.o. guy and am trying to take care of my skin. I've found the Round Lab Dokdo 1025 sunscreen to be less shiny, and I like it.
BTW, dental insurance has really become more of a "dental benefit plan" than true insurance these days. Delta Dental, a common dental insurance, had a plan with a yearly maximum of $1,500 back in 1968. Today, it still offers one with a $1,500 yearly maximum. The amount of dentistry you could get for $1.5k in 1968 vs. 2024--no comparison.

The Skin 1004 is the first sunscreen I ever really loved. Since then I have tried BLab matcha hydration, beauty of joeseon, and purito soft touch, which are all nice. The Purito disappears on the skin almost instantly. I have mature combo skin that can get quite dry when I use retiniods and the Korean sunscreens are wonderfully hydrating.

Yes!!! I’m so glad I tried it. I was getting a little bored of Korean spf’s since they all had the same BOJ/skin 1004 formula. This is definitely one of the best I’ve ever tried

The Dear Klairs Mineral sunscreen has been chillin in my YesStyle cart pending my next order, but in the meantime I’ve been enjoying the Etude Sun-prise mineral and Dr. G mineral SPFs. They do have a slight white cast on my medium-light skin tone, but the finishes are nice and the cast doesn’t make me look crazy if I decide not to wear makeup (since I usually opt for mineral when my skin is already angry 😅). Etude is more watery like Avene’s mineral SPF but Dr. G is more of a light cream.
My current chemical SPFs are the Numbuzin invisible sunscreen and the Goodal Heartleaf calming sunscreen. Numbuzin is so lightweight and Goodal is more creamy.
I also wanna try Shingmulnara’s waterproof SPF (sold only at OliveYoung) and Kaine’s sunscreen which is supposedly waterproof too.

I have tried a handful of different hats. My head is pretty small so I've found the one that works best is the North Face Verizon Women's Hat. It comes in two sizes and it also has a back set up for a ponytail which I love! I tend to wash them once a month and it's held up to that, too! I was mistaken on an earlier video. I thought you were testing the American version of the Isintree purple sunscreen. I was thinking...WHY🤷‍♀️😆I didn't know they had a new one with Asian filters! Well, that's what I get for slacking off while having Lyme disease. My video watching is down, and my shopping is definitely down! Shame on me🥰🥰🥰Im so happy they have the newer filters! Have a beautiful and blessed weekend 💗💗💗🕊

I just got a few UPF tops a couple weeks ago! What I'm really impressed with is how light they feel while still protecting the skin. I had tried alternatives in the past but I'm really happy with what I picked up. So one I purchased from Athleta, it is this one: athleta.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=657489092#pdp-page-content
And this is the other brand, Coolibar which also has some nice options to cover the head and top in both men's and women's: www.coolibar.com/products/women-s-beach-shirt-upf-50
This one from Carhartt I've heard really good things about as well (and it's on sale!) www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/carhartt-mens-force-sun-defender-lightweight-long-sleeve-hooded-logo-graphic-t-shirt-2275364?cid=Shopping-Google-Organic_Feed-Product-2275364&srsltid=AfmBOor50R2zm0AU0srdN7FVKSO-GPPIcobFRcVeNQHMM9yLy47haIS9Nus
I'm sure keeping out of the uv rays is key to managing that condition. Have you or him ever tried Heliocare? I'm on a medicine to prevent migraines and it makes me SUPER sensitive to the sun. I forgot to take it last week and I could definitely tell the difference when I am taking it.

What would you recommend for someone who stays inside all day and all night but in front of a computer? I want to try and block blue light because between working remotely from home during the day and being full time online student at night, I think I get way more blue light than most people. I know blue light is controversial but I look like I’ve got new sun damage spots and I hardly ever go outside. So there must be some truth to blue light causing hyperpigmentation

If you have Melasma or hyperpigmentation is better to use tinted sunscreens

    • @thealterego4684
      @thealterego4684 Před měsícem

Iron oxides block blue wavelength light that can contribute to hyperpigmentation. So tinted sunscreen can be useful for that, whether U.S. or otherwise. Some new studies are showing that the ingredient ectoin can also block blue light. It is a relatively new ingredient in some chemical sunscreens, and will likely become more commonly used.

I don't understand the hype for the skin 1004. The packaging is a PIA for travel -lid pops off and it has a light but gross smell. Wish I'd stuck to Beauty of Joseon. So far nothing measures up.

Plz improve your videos by workings on them a bit. that makes the difference. Save a video when u r putting the sunscreen as u r describing it so we can see how is it. and review it after 3 hours to see how the sunscreen finish is. I bought the beauty of josean sunscreen after seeing ur review. I have oily skin, but after a bit the sunscreen gives a very glowy finish that i didn't like. it would be nice to see u try it first and then review it based on that.

You're better off reading comments. That's what I do. You can't really rely on one person's experience. I've never been interested in the BOJ sunscreen. Every video I've watched, it looks greasy. I've also noticed with first expressions videos ( not just with Sarah's but other people I follow on CZcams ) their opinion changes. I've watched first expression videos where the product was affordable, non sticky, works with other products, it's amazing and 3 months later it's not affordable, it's sticky, doesn't work with other products, literally the complete opposite.

I just ordered the Altruist sunscreen SPF 30 PA++++ sunscreen in 1 liter size. It is a highly rated British sunscreen w/ chemical filters. I ordered the SPF 30 instead of 50 because some people said the 30 is generally more pleasant to apply everyday. The downside is you have to order through Amazon U.K., but with shipping, it is under $40 for a liter.
