Colorescience...all products 50 PA++++ and mineral...I owned a gardening biz for 15 years in Colorado...I also owned a whole drawer of sunscreens (including Korean). Colorescience were the only ones that would protect me from burning under our intense sun. I am still active outdoors and dedicated to Flex (my daily foundation), Body and lip gloss (35).
Hi Dana, colorscience is def. a favorite amongst my viewers. I need to give it another try. Glad to hear it is working so well for you

Colourscience is the best sunscreen in the world...Another one that I liked was the minerals by bioderma

Thanks for this great video girls! Love you both. It was so good seeing what you both liked because I have been spending too much on sunscreens I don’t like or just don’t work! I love an spf with tint but it’s not easy to find one for my fair cool toned skin! ❤
Hi Amelia, thank you for your lovely comment and for being here.
I hope you will find and spf that works well for you, please keep us posted

Always look forward to this yearly collab 😊❤❤❤ Definitely not boring for skincare nerds 😊. Unfortunately Prequel pills when I use their Vit C 😢 My fave of all time sport SPF is EVY. My whole family uses it. 😊
Thank you gorgeous

Eucerin Sensitive Skin Mineral Sinscreen SPF 50 is a good one in imo. Its very thick, calming, and it has a nourishing feeling. It does leave a slight white cast which eventually goes away.
Hi Natalie, someone else suggested that one as well. Glad to hear it is working well for you
x
Great reviews ladies, thank you!
Tamara - great advice on measuring the thin spfs to make sure you’re using enough instead of relying on the two finger method.
I love Beauty of Joseon so much. Just purchased the HaduHaru yellow one and can’t wait to try. I feel naked if I don’t have spf on.
Also love love The Gleanser. It’s a perfect cleanser that gets everything off including spf but doesn’t strip, and for the right price. A win win !!!
Hi Jane, thank you for being here. Glad to hear you found some spfs you are liking and I hope you will love the HaruHaru
xx
Great video and how fun you were both together in-person!
I got sucked into the hype on Social Media for the Kinfield Sunglow sunscreen and found it to pill a lot under makeup. It's only 35 spf also. One of my favorite sunscreens is Agency's Silkscreen. Love it as long as you let it dry completely before using makeup.
Hi Sallie, I am glad you shared your experience with the Kinfield. I have been so curious about it and almost bought it.

I love the videos on face sunscreens. Being a fair skin gal it really helps me to see how dark or orange some mineral tints truly are. Thanks!
Hi Pam, glad you enjoyed this and thank you so much for being here

Love seeing you two together. I’ve been enjoying the Dr. g green mild up sunscreen. I follow it up with the Eucerin tinted age defender. It goes well under my L’Oréal true match super blenable foundation. Have a beautiful day ladies ❤
Hi Carol, thank you for being here and for sharing your favorite spfs. I have not tried either, but they sound great
xx
Thank you so much for this video! I'm constantly looking for good sunscreens, and I think I found several possibilities to try. Currently I bounce back and forth between the P. Calm Water Barrier Sun Cream, and the Jan Marini Physical spf 45 tinted. Both are great, but I'm always looking for new ones to try! Thanks again for trying all of those!
Hi Hedy, glad this was helpful! I love the Jan Marini as well but need to try the other one you mentioned
x
Love this…spf is my favorite skincare product, and I love testing new ones! I hate that the UVMune 400 didn’t work for you. I have been loving it, tinted an non tinted for days I am outside all day. My other faves are:
- anything from ultra Violette
- eucerin oil control - the European version
- ISDIN Eryfytona spf 50
- Numbuzin no 1 (only on days I won’t be out in the sun much. It doesn’t hold up in water or sweat and the PA rating, while 4 + is much lower than others, as is the case with most k beauty spfs. 😢
I have been wanting to try Evy for ages! ❤❤
Hi Mandy, I am bummed about it too. I actually bought it after seeing you talk about it and was so excited to use it. But, I am going to try some of your other favorites. Already love the Numbuzin, however I can never get to it as my husband keeps taking it from me.
If you get the Evy, let me know your thoughts
x
It was great hanging out with you both! I had the same experience with the Haruharu sunscreen. Love the one in the yellow tube and not the purple. Some other sunscreens I really enjoy are d'Alba UV Essence Waterfull + spf 50 PA ++++. It feels like luxurious skincare to me when I put it on. I also love the R & R Sun Serum SPF 50. It's a tinted mineral sunscreen. The last one is Isntree Hyluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50. It is very light and moisturizing. I would like to try the Austrailian and Swedish sunscreens you mentioned. Thank you ladies!
Hi Deb, glad you enjoyed this. I put the ru sunscreen. I put the d'Alba on my wishlist, it looks really good!
I also need to try the R&R, I have heard great things about it

So good to see you two ladies again. Great SPF reviews. I’m loving the HaruHaru moisturizer spf. I only wear Chemical,Korean SPF’s. But Iam wanting so to try the Ultra Violet spf. Wish they would ship here. And for sure want to try the EVY. Thank you two soo much for sharing and reviewing so many SPF’s for us. Much love to both of you; Karla 62 in Oklahoma
Hi Karla, glad to hear you are loving the HaruHaru as well. I tried a couple of the Ultra Violet last year and they are very nice, though some of them have a strong scent. If you get any of them, or the Evy, please keep us posted
Lots of love to Oklahoma

I really want to try the evy. I do struggle with spf because I have very oily skin and I look like a glazed donut. I enjoyed the video!!! Thank you so much for trying all these sunscreens!!!❤
Hi beautiful, if you try it, please keep us posted

I agree with you, Claudia about loving the Haru Haru chemical spf. I’m wearing it now lol. I like it better than the BOJ too. I also agree with Tamara about the Prequel spf. I have tried it and it always pills. It’s not a great formula for me at all. Another one I just discovered and fell in love with is Naked Sundays Collagen Glow 100% Mineral SPF 50+. I know it’s really thick, but it doesn’t feel thick after I’ve gotten it on. Tint is perfect for me. So, I really enjoy the Haru Haru and Naked Sundays. Love this video!! Much love and hugs to you both! 😊💜💜💜
Hi gorgeous, glad to hear you found some spf's that work well for you. I need to give the naked sunday's collagen glow another try. When I used it it really settled everywhere, but it might have been the skincare under it... Thank you for being here and for you kind words, lot's of love
xx
@@claudiaglows That’s a possibility with the NS. I just cleanse, use one serum and a moisturizer then that SPF and haven’t had any problems with it settling or pilling. Maybe try it on a day where you go lighter on skincare. I’ve looked at their website and notice they sell a type of kabuki brush for application. Never heard of using a brush to apply SPF before! I was shocked the Haru Haru doesn’t irritate my skin or eyes at all. Usually chemical spf irritates me, but that one seems to be great. 😊 I’d like to try the Evy, but the linked website says they don’t ship here to the states.
@@GenXVictoria great tip, I will try that next time

Tamara applying the Supergoop 😂😂😂 Thanks for the giggle. Always great to see sunscreen reviews.
Glad you enjoyed it Suzanna 😊
This was so helpful Ladies. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect SPF. I have very fair, sensitive skin. Most tinted SPF’s are too orange and dark on my cool skin tone. Thank you both again.🙌🙌🙌💜💜💜

These videos save me so much time, money and energy. I picked up IS based on Claudia’s rec and it’s very nice. Quite matte on me so good for summer. I like to have only mineral. Kinship is fantastic for winter or irritable skin days. They do have a sport version. Comes in a jumbo option
Hi Jessa, really glad to hear this was helpful and thank you so much for being here❤️
Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sunscreen is my current favorite, plus I can use it around my eyes. I also like some of Naked Sundays sunscreen products, along with the Innbeauty mineral sunscreen you just showed with the pump. thank you for your hard work 💖
Hi, thank you for being here and for sharing your favorite spfs. I need to try the Isntree one
xx
That one pilled on me 😒
Great collab ! Lots of new choices this time . I’ve been sticking to Colorescience flex and their No-show mineral it doesn’t break me out . I just tried the Kosas DreamBeam comfy smooth sunscreen spf40 Pa++++, it’s great for me under makeup . I’m a sunscreen junkie and if they don’t break me out they’re a keeper . I will try the haruharu wonder . ❌⭕️
Hi Sue, thank you for sharing some of your favorites. I need to give the Colorscience another try. I tried it a while ago and did not like it, but it seems to be very popular
Hope you will love the HaruHaru
xx
Oh, I have the same problem with tinted sunscreens: it is always too dark and/or too orange on me. Plus, the mineral ones I tried were either too drying or too greasy.
The Airyday looks good though, I think I will try it 😊
P.s. Loove the Evy too ❤ I found it can get a bit sticky (like hair sticks to it), but it is totally fine considering the amazing protection it offers and how fast it absorbs!
Hi Lindsey
I agree, that is probably the only negative about the Evy, though, as much sunscreen as I apply, I have that problem with almost all of them.
If you try the Airyday, please keep us posted
x
@@claudiaglows That is true!
Thank you so much for this. I love the beauty of Joseon as well as a HaruHaru wonder. I got a really good price on the Benton UV sun defense cream, but it’s untainted. It has a slightly cooling effect affect when it goes on. I really like that one. I also recently tried the Abib heartleaf Sun essence drops. It’s a 50 SPF ++++. it’s very liquidy, but I really like it when I don’t want to wear something with a tint. When I wear a tinted moisturizer, I use American sunscreens such as the physical sunscreen by DRMTLGY, which might be a little dark for some people. I also use the Mychelle sun drops, but never by itself because it’s a little bit dark. I mix it with another Korean sunscreen and I always like that effect. In fact, it’s almost like putting make up on. There are a few you mentioned that I might give a try to in the future.
Thank you so much for sharing some of your favorites. I need to try some of the ones you mentioned.

@claudiaglows @TamarasTimelessBeauty So fun that you two got to do this together in-person this year! Great video! I bought the one skin and had the same thoughts. It was so sad because it was not cheap. Can you do a video for the best full body sunscreens?
Hi, it is a bummer and I am not sure why they made it so dark.

Thanks for the review! Out of the ones that you would repurchase, did one sunscreen do better than the others for wearing under makeup?
Thank you for being here. That is a great question and I will have to ask Tamara as I do not wear makeup. But I think she said the HaruHaru works really well under makeup
x
So funny, Claudia, I LOVE UVMUNE 400. But I use the creams in the pump tubes versus the liquids. Green ribbon tube in the summer to control oiliness and blue ribbon tube in the winter to offset dryness. I also put a dab of tinted in with the regular to get the perfect tint. I absolutely love it.
That is interesting! Just goes to show you we are all different. When we meet, I will give you mine so it does not go to waste :)
x
@@claudiaglows Yes, absolutely! I am using up my little fluid bottles for body 😂. I imported at least one of each kind from the UVMUNE line from the UK (then stocked up on more when in Germany). And like you and Tamara said, it’s tough to measure out so I cake it on in layers. I do think the tiny size is good for travel though but the amount to use is still in question since a little bit does seem to spread far. Sticking to the cream tubes going forward. Hope Samie is doing well. 🐶

I love the Eucerin Oil Control, but specifically the EU version as it contains more up to date filters, the American one which I tried after was inferior in every way. I have oily skin and its fantastic.
Thank you for sharing your favorite. I wish I would have picked up one of them when I still lived in Europe

Just a quick comment -
I tried Evy after you said it was super waterproof. I had to run a half marathon in the sun this weekend, and I sweat buckets. I also pour water over my face throughout
It worked amazingly. I burnt on my shoulders where I forgot to apply, but my face and neck were absolutely fine. No colour change at all
It didn’t sting my eyes, either, except after the finish line when I dabbed my face with my t shirt. So impressive!
Yay, I am super happy to hear that! And good for you, running a marathon!!
x

Great info. My favorite face sunscreen is Andalou Naturals vitamin C Beauty Balm sheer tint broad spectrum SPF 30 with fruit stem cells. I also wear a hat most of the time in spring/summer :). I agree about One Skin being too dark. In summer will mix with the Andalou. Was wondering what you all use for body SPF especially mineral. I am liking All Good mineral sport. Thanks
Hi Jeanni, I used to use the Adalou as well and really liked it.
Thank you for sharing you favorite body spf. I need to order a few different ones to try and will check that one out as well
x
Great research from both of you...enjoyed this. I tried to order the Eva Spf50 mousse with the link but they don't seem to deliver to Ireland...even though it's in the dropdown list of countries. Anyway, I hope to get it elsewhere, it looks great and I like the idea of a longer-lasting effect. I do love the Haru-haru one but I found it a bit drying (in the yellow tube) it doesn't pill for me before makeup. I mix it with Beauty of Joseon. My current favourite is Super-Goop Play Spf50. It is hydrating and no white cast. xx💗💗
Hi, thank you for being here. I hope you can find a place that ships to Ireland, please keep me posted. Good to know that the HaruHaru does not pill for you.
xx
Maybe it's too late for people to see, but i have a suggestion for everybody that is unsure about the coverage. I got an uv-mirror at amazon. That enables me to see, if i got all areas of my face equaly and if the layer is thick enough. Especially for some of the Korean nice-feeling spfs i noticed a thinner coverage. So i apply always more with these kinds of spfs (like Haruharu airy). The mirror was quite expensive, i think something around 80 Euros. But in comparison to what we all spend for skinkare is is well worth it i think.
That is a great suggestion. Does your mirror work for physical spf as well. I have one of those mirrors, but it only works for chemical filters.
Thank you for being here
x
@@claudiaglows Yes, it does. With chemical spf you appear black in the mirror (absorbing uv rays) and with physical you appear very light (reflecting uv rays). "Normal" skin is on a grey scale. Today i took a look in the afternoon and the black from the morning has become grey and patchy - so time to reapply :-)
@@hahaha6111 great to know! thank you
Would you mind letting us know which one you have? They sound interesting.
I’ve repurchased the Bloomeffects spf twice. In the winter it’s lovely and oily but wouldn’t work in warm weather, especially if you’re sweaty. I also like the Sunday one even though it’s like a mousse pudding and difficult to smooth. I tend to most often mix sunscreens to get exactly what I want.
I just ordered the Bloomeffects and am excited to try it. Glad to hear you like it

Have a question hoping you can answer about the InnBeauty Sunscreen. In the ingredients it contains Vitamin C. I currently use the Timeless Vitamin C with Ferulic Acid and Vitamin E 10%. Wondering if using both the Sunscreen and Vitamin C serum would be too much for my sensitive skin. By the way, thanks for doing this video.
Hi Deb, I don't think so. I would assume that the percentage of Vitamin C in the spf is quite low and you are using it as your last product. However, if you do notice it is too much, please let us know so we can learn from each other

Mary Kay released a new face mineral sunscreen SPF 30 that I got from my Mary Kay consultant it does not have a chalky residue. It also blends in with every skin tone. You should try that one and give your opinion.
That is great to hear. I have never tried any Mary Kay products but have always been curious about them
x
I use Prequel on low-key no-makeup days; the glow is too much for my texture so I probably won't repurchase. For tinted, I use the DRMTLGY and I will definitely repurchase that. Very happy with it.
I think I'll splurge for one of those SPF coverage mirrors because I am interested in how much coverage is intact around 3:00 pm, or the effect (if any) of mixing mineral/chemical, either because the SPF is hybrid or because my makeup has some kind of SPF in it.
Hi, thank you for sharing some of your favorites. Does the prequel pill on you as it did on Tamara?
I do have one of those mirrors and it is quite interesting. Unfortunately mine only works with chemical spfs

I’m commenting while watching so yall may mention it, but yall have GOT to try LRP Anthelios UVMUNE 400 spf 50. It is HEAVEN. It’s super moisturizing without being greasy, and it completely disappears. It uses European screens, and I had to order it from a business in Portugal, but it’s PERFECTION.
I haven’t tested its efficacy necessarily, because I’m always wearing a hat, but I don’t have any reason to doubt that it works since it’s a legacy brand.
Is that different from the first one I showed?
@@claudiaglows COMPLETELY, lol. Night and day. The one that dried me out is the one that dried you out.
Thank you for a great video! My favorite sunscreen is from Japan called Skin Aqua. It’s an SPF 50 ++++ chemical sunscreen. I have been repurchasing it and using it for 7 years. It’s not drying, soaks into my skin quickly, looks good under make up and is very affordable. My entire family enjoys using it including my husband. 😊 You may want to try it too.
HI Janet, thank you for sharing your favorite. That sounds like the perfect spf and I will def. check it out.

I have oily skin and love the matte Supergoop sunscreen, it goes well with any foundation too and I can’t stand shiny sunscreens that do not set and feel too heavy on my oily skin
Thank you for being here and for sharing which spf works well for you ❤️
Tamara had a good idea to measure the number of pumps when you first get it. Why hadn’t I thought of that?!
I agree!
My favorite is Colorescience Flex 😊
Great to hear! Thank you for sharing and for being here Cheryl

Really interesting especially as summer is coming on. Claudia, off topic but I have a question: have you ever done micro needling w PRP at home? I've been micro needling for 2+ yrs and had blood drawn for lab tests (for BHRT) and the technician took an extra vial and spun it for me so I can use in at home microneedling. Just curious if you've done that and your results?
Hi, yes I have. But honestly I thought the results were underwhelming, however you might have better results, please keep us posted

My favorite is Supergoop Unseen sunscreen. It is colorless and scentless, which i love. Most unscented sunscreens have that certain smell to it that this one doesn't have.
Hi, thank you for sharing your favorite. I need to give that one a try
xx
I would like it better if it didn’t eventually get gummy in the tube over time .
@@SleeplessinOC Hmmm hasn't happened to me yet, but I have been using it for only a month now.
@@AhFeiLee It hasn't happened to me, either, and it's been my go-back-to face non-beach sunscreen for a few years now.

Elta MD def. has some good ones. And good to hear it was not just me :)

I use different Korean and European sunscreens but my favorite one is Isdin Eryfotona, it is made in Spain and if you read the science behind it you will fall in love ❤

I’m sunscreen fanatic and I’ve tried a lot of then specially minerals from US and chemicals from Europe, right now the best ones from US are Neutrogena the new one one, Kate Somerville new one and Isdin, and from European LRP uvmune crem or cream gel fragrances free and Vichy Capital soleil are great. I like them to be water resistant so the last longer on my skin specially for warm days on my combo skin, I would like to try Evy hopefully one day will be available in LATAM
Thank you for being here and sharing some of your favorite spf's.

The chemical Haru Haru one definitely pills on me, especially when I try to reapply. I actually prefer the mineral version, it does leave a cast but it works well under makeup.
I am sorry to hear it pulls for you as well, but glad to hear the mineral is working well

If you like Kinship, try Paula’s Choice essential glow spf
Thank you for the suggestion, I will definitely try it
The essential glow gets very gummy on me 😮
Hi Claudia I wanted to know what's the best red light mask? Is Omnilux really good than a mito red light?
Hi Amber, I really love this one and it is what I have been using for the past few months go.shopmy.us/p-3474752
They are having a mother's day sale. If you use code MOMSDAY at checkout it will give you 20% off.

Strangely I find the LRP too greasy! But yeah it also paradoxically clings to and highlights any flakes of dry skin, and makes my eyebrows chalky.
Agree that it’s very overrated. Still, I use it for gardening or exercise, using it for its high protection rather than cosmetic elegance
That is strange. Sorry to hear you do not like it either.

Hi Claudia quick question …you mentioned that the beauty of joseon has a mineral filter as well as a chemical filter. … it the rice that’s creating the mineral filter because I also noticed a touch of white cast, but it tends to goat… TIA my friend 💜
I don’t think it’s the Rice, but one of the filters is a hybrid filter
@@claudiaglows do you happen to know which one. … no rush just curious 💜
@@beyond50skin I talked about it in a Korean sunscreen video last year, so hopefully you can take a look at that. But I remember now it actually having not one, but two hybrid filters (of course with crazy long names)
@@claudiaglows Thanks 💜. I will check it out. I have been calling it a chemical vs hybrid 🤦♀️
my favorit sunscreen is loreal (revitalift series) cream fluid, second is korean frudia (blue and green) it is not woterproof but so comfortable to wear.
Claudia, I wrote before about loreal cream but forgot to mention that its not just revitalift series but also cream fluid. It looks like the same "la rose pose shake" bottle. ingridient list is simmelier but felling are much much better. You will not believe, but during the winner I bought 20 loreal spf bottles for this year using. (the best disscounts from augest till december). the cream is invisible, pleasant to the touch, water-resistant, it does not cause irritation (for me this is important because many spf creams make my skin burn) I will make my CZcams avatar - pic of my collection of spf creams - you will be shocked (I bought a little by little when there were discounts - my average price was about 5-6 usd)
Thank you so much for clarifying. It sounds like a really good one and I will def. take a look at it.

Naked Sundays Cabana Glow drops burn my eyes. Use the collagen glow on top for a total SPF.
That is interesting! But I’m glad you found a good alternative
I tried the Evy and I think I liked it but one bottle does not last very long for the price 😢
Hello, Claudia! Evy is too sticky for me :(
Hi, you are right, it can be a bit sticky. But I love the protection it gives. Have you tried not using a moisturiser below it?

Tried the In Beauty sunscreen from Sephora. Liked it, but when sunscreen migrates into my eyes they sting really bad
I really wanted to try that Australian sunscreen where you mixed the two but it seems they only offer free shipping in Australia with a minimum order . Darn.
Yes, unfortunately they charge shipping. But the products are cheaper on theirs site than some others, so it actually combed out even with shipping, if you get two of the sunscreens
xx
@@claudiaglows thanks Claudia , you’re right , it would still be reasonable even with paying shipping if I get at least two . Would you say these tints would probably work out well for me as an East Asian skin tone like Lucy Liu?
I find that stick spfs do better for reapplication over liquid spfs

Hi Lisa, thank you for sharing your favorites. I need to try the Tula

I use colour science. No
Chemicals to penetrate the skin my dermatologist says and I try to keep on top of this. I liked Goop glow but it contains some negative ingredients.
Hi Annemette, thank you for being here and sharing your favorite
Unfortunately though, even Colorscience, while a mineral SPF, it still has a chemical sunscreen enhancer called Butyloctyl Salicylate. It is really challenging to find a 100% pure mineral SPF, as they can be so cosmetically in elegant. Personally, I am not worried about this sunscreen enhancer, it is used in many mineral SPF’s, but if you are truly worried about chemicals, you might want to look into it
@@claudiaglows interesting. Thank you for this info. If you’re not worried about it then I don’t think I will lol. I know it’s really tough to be pure :)
I know you do so much research and homework xo

Question. I see in your list now you like Super Goop. I love the glow one but isn’t there bad stuff in it? What are your thoughts on sunscreens seeping into the bloodstream? Is that just the chemical ones?
@@annemettejorgensen4912 thats one Tamara likes. I am not too fond of it. It's challenging, since "bad stuff" is hard to define. And it also depends on the percentage of the ingredient used. But if you are worried at all, I would stay away from it and just stick with what works for you, like the colorscience. Or if you want a really 'clean' one, you might like Kinship. There are also some great recommendations in the comments. Solara was one of them

I don't think I have found my favorite sunscreen yet. I like a matte finish, no glowy! They seem to have gone out of style. I love the Australian Gold (discontinued?). I mostly use Biore. I much prefer Asian sunscreens and don't bother with American ones anymore.

Was going to try the Airday Pretty in Zinc and Mineral Mousse but website wants $35.00 just for shipping
Is it the site I linked? I thought I paid $25. Which seems like a lot, but they actually have way better prices on the sunscreens than other sites, so ordering two made the shipping cost worth it
