    Im a high School golfer and this video completely fixed my golf swing. I am getting that elbow perfectly out in front now and went from shooting low 80s to low 70s in 3 months. My golf team has a legitimate chance at winning state next year because of this, we will have 3 guys shooting around 75 and 1 shooting 67-68. Thank you so much for making this video!

My driver was straighter and longer, my fairway shots were much easier and consistent. Just off the beat and track Steve. We all know the importance of leaning the swing and i know your channel is more about hitting the ball further down the fairway but
    not only that, how many times, unless we are hitting off the T Box we are on a flat lie ? 5 percent ? Is it possible for you to show us the best way of striking the golf ball
    off different lies and slopes.
    Thanks

  • @geekone6621
    @geekone6621 Před 3 lety +3

    Love this video, however, since it was all about getting the right elbow over the pocket, the face on view would have been really helpful to visualize how each of the drill accomplished the task. The only way I can play decent golf, which is about scratch from white tees, is to pretty much ensure my right elbow is not necessarily pinned but is not too far from my right side and I get a good side arm motion through the ball. IF I “feel” like get any width with my right elbow away from my right side I get into all sorts of issues. So, I can see your width, what I can’t see from this video, is where your elbow gets in front of the pocket. Love your videos and your teachings, just struggling a little with gaining a little power with the right arm. If I could pick up a little more power, my roughly scratch from whites would translate to roughly scratch to the blues. Thanks!

I had to also think about getting the path exiting left. It was helping contact but I felt like I was pulling too many shots left so messed with enough that I’m sort of back where I started.

    Really appreciate your inclusion of slow motion swing. I have heard the skipping rock analogy, but being no expert in that either i could use some help. Afaik, one would hold the flat rock with the right index finger along the rock's edge (spine) facing the target and palm would thus be similar. Release would be wrist flicks into flexion without rotation/pronation(?). Transpose this to a club and I m lost. Where is the spine (which location on the shaft)? Do we still throw to the water or throw as if the water is our swing plane? Thanks

    • @Inmotion70
      @Inmotion70  Před 3 lety +2

    I waffle between committing to Austin's approach and Moe Norman. The take away is always the part that I have the most problem with. How to get the club to the top in the right position. With Austin it seems the swing isn't necessarily rotational, whereas with Moe Norman I think it is. Hip action is key with Austin, if you watch Moe his lead hip stays high and never dips in his swing. I think both of them hit up so to speak. Someday I'll figure this all out.

    Better way for people to understand the correct motion is to compare it to swinging an AXE if your good at swinging an axe into a tree you will have no problem hitting a golf ball square because you body naturally does everything with your elbow and wrist to line up the axe head. Just have to have the right hip rotation or you gonna hit the ground before the ball.

    That’s all well and good for the young golfer but the senior golfer cannot rotate so that golf ball is going to right field

    I watched this video 3 times and I could never follow which of your instructions were the right ones and which were the wrong ones. You demonstrated both, but never clearly said which one you SHOULD be doing, and which was the mistake.
